Emilia
It was approximately midnight when I heard my door creak open and I instantly snapped my eyes open. I looked over at the door and saw Elena's figure and silent cries could be heard from my place in the bed. I stepped down from the bed with a worried look on my face as I padded to my room door.
I switched on the lights and my eyes focused on the sniffing Elena at my door. My brows creased, "Elena, are you okay?" Elena nodded, "Yeah, I just had a really bad nightmare about you. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't real." I smiled slightly as she pushed her brown curls behind her hair.
I stepped closer to her and embraced her in a comforting hug. I felt Elena smile over my shoulder and my eyes furrowed in confusion at her different fragrance. I pushed the thought at the back of my mind and hugged her tighter. Elena shifted a bit and I instantly stepped back, thinking she needed space.
But I automatically scream in agony when a sharp blade slides into my stomach. I fall on my knees and clutch my stomach, wheezing out in pain as I slowly slide it out. I throw it on the floor and look up at my sister, "Katherine." I sneer, feeling my wound healing before I stand up.
"You have to admit I am getting better at this." Katherine laughs, smirking. I growl, shifting as I jump at her but she vamps speeds and slams me against a wall. I fight against her hold and bite at her face. "Easy there, wolfy." Katherine smirks, chuckling at her comment.
"What do you want?" I bark, glaring at her. "To kill you. I mean, that Lockwood boy didn't even try." Katherine answers, scoffing. I furrow my eyebrows, "Tyler?" Katherine shakes her head, "I'm not here to answer." I scoff, "Right, you're here to kill."
"On second thought, I prefer killing you in front if everybody who cherish you." Katherine replies, smirking as she lets go. "Yeah, sure." I agree, nodding. "Elena's lucky to have you." Katherine smirks, "Not for long though."
I sneer at her but she vamps speed out of my room, after giving me a one last smirk. I stomp my foot on my wooden floor before taking the blade in my hand. There was blood everywhere on it and I sighed, walking to my window. I prayed silently before throwing the blade out of the window, hoping it won't kill anyone.

I slam the beer cap on the edge of the table, opening it and I instantly take a gulp of it. I sigh in relief at the cold beverage and lean against the counter behind me. I gaze at the fruit bowl in front of me and my stomach growls in hunger. I roll my eyes at myself and grab a green apple from the bowl.
"Hey," Damon greets, walking in with a beer. I give him a nod and take a bite from apple, instantly wheezing out in pain when I swallow it. The beer slips from my hand and crashes on the floor, making a loud thud. I don't know what's happening to me, but my throat is burning like crazy.
I grasp my throat, choking in pain as I gaze at the apple that's a yellow/brownish from inside. I don't recognize the liquid, but my knees give up on me and I fall on the floor on my knees just as Damon rushes to me.
He kneels in front of me, "Emilia, wha-" He stops talking when he looks at the apple, "Wolfsbane." He mutters just as Jenna and Elena rush in the room, instantly kneeling in front of me when they spot me.
My eyes get teary from the pain and I suddenly get the urge to cough. By doing so, blood sprays from my mouth and onto the floor as Jenna pats my back. I cry and wipe my bloody mouth, looking up at the people who surrounded me.
Elena and Jenna kneeled on each side of me, comforting me. Damon was kneeling in front of me, looking worried. Caroline stood behind Elena as she bit her lip. Mason stood in the doorway, his jaw ticking as he stares at me.
"Emilia, what happened? Are you okay?" Elena asks, worry edging her voice. "Y-Yeah," I manage, "I just choked on the apple." Jenna scoffs, "Choked?" She laughs sarcastically, "You coughed blood, Emilia, that doesn't happen when you choke on an apple. I mean, you don't how scared I was when I heard the glass breaking from the backyard, I was terri-"
"Jenna, I'm fine." I cut her off, smiling at her concern.
Jenna nods erratically, "Yeah, yeah, of course you are." I grin widely as she laughs, "You've got something." She says, pointing to her teeth. I lick my teeth and groan in disgust at the taste of blood, "Blood."
"Ok, come on." Elena says, helping me up. "When are we going to play Pictionary?" I ask, acting like nothing happened to me. "We were just going to play." Mason answers, pointing his thumb towards the living room. "You guys go, I just want to have a word with Elena."
They all nod and walk out of the kitchen, but Damon stays longer and I just smile reassuringly. Once he left, I grabbed Elena's wrist and pulled her upstairs to my room. Once we were upstairs, I brushed my teeth and gargled in mouth wash.
I step back in my room and spot Elena sitting patiently on my bed. "So, what did you want to talk to me about?" Elena asks, leaning back on the bad. "I think Katherine put wolfsbane in that apple." I answer, muttering.
Elena instantly sits up, "Katherine?"
I nod, "Yeah, she pretended to be you last night and almost killed me. Saying that the Lockwood boy was supposed to do that."
"Tyler?"
"That's what I guessed and she didn't answer me. But my second guess is Mason." I reply, sighing.
"And she tried killing you last night?"
"Midnight actually." I correct, clicking my tongue. "Emilia, do you know what this means?" Elena asks, nearly yelling. "No?" I ask, not sure.
"You have to start training. You need to learn how to use your power." Elena replies. I scoff, "Oh, and tell me someone who knows everything about werewolves."
"Mason."
"He maybe the one who put wolfsbane in the apple. So no way I'm asking him." I say, shaking my head. "Emilia, someone's out there trying to kill you and you're just going to sit here." Elena asks, scoffing. I nod, "Well, do you have any other suggestions?"
"Uh yes," Elena snorts, "Mason."
"Elena," I groan, "Just two seconds ago I told you that he may be the one who out wolfsbane in that apple."
"It can't be him. It has to be Katherine. I mean, she's trying to kill you so it makes sense."
"Okay, that's a good point." I hesitate, "But I can't ask Mason for help. What if he's trying to kill me too? I mean he obviously knows I'm a werewolf, he smelt the wolfsbane from the doorway and he looked angry. What if he's helping Katherine? What if he's partners with Katherine? What if-"
"Emilia," Elena cuts me off, "How about we go play pictionary and figure this out later." She suggests and I take a deep breath, nodding my head as I stood up. I pull her up and she lets out a loud oomph, "Damn, did you get stronger or did I just get weaker?" I roll my eyes and walk out of the room.
My smile falls when I see Mason leaning against the wall beside my bedroom door. Elena's face literally falls when she spots him too, and the both of us cross our arms and raise a questioning eyebrow. "Mason," I acknowledge, "Were you eavesdropping?" I ask, glaring at him.
Mason shakes his head, "No, no way. Why would you think that?"
"Because you're standing beside my door doing nothing. Plus, you look like you were eavesdropping." Elena answered, clicking her tongue. "I'm here because I need a spare shirt for Jenna. She's tipsy and she spilled vodka all over her shirt." Mason replied.
I bit my lip and turned my head towards Elena, who was just as surprised as I was. I cleared my throat "Sorry, Mason. It's just that we had a really private conversation. So, thanks for not eavesdropping." I lied, sending him a fake smile.
"Yeah," Elena agreed, "Um, let me get that t-shirt for you." Elena says before walking down the hallway to Jenna's room. I turned to Mason, "I'm going downstairs." He nodded and I pushed past him, running down the stairs but Mason calls me.
I turn around and face him, giving him a confused look. "If you want to train, I'd love to train you." Mason suggests, shrugging. There was a long pause as I stared at him in shock. "I know you don't trust me, but I know hot it feels to be in your place. When I was first cursed, my life got ruined. But I started training my self and my ancestors helped me a lot. I don't know how it feels like to help a bitten werewolf, but I'd love to train you."
I nod, "Ok." Mason smiles, "Great." Elena comes and hands Mason the shirt as I stare at the floor in shock. Mason walks past me and down the stairs as Elena looks worriedly at me. "Emilia, you okay?" I instantly nod and walk down the stairs with only one thought in my head;
how does Mason know that I'm a bitten werewolf?
