It was a two day journey to Ton DC from Amethyst's village. She didn't stop for long, only long enough to give the horse a break and then she was on her way once again. In all honesty, Amethyst had no idea what she was really going to Ton DC for, but she knew she needed to talk to Anya about the next step. Many grounders thought very highly of Amethyst which worked in her favor, she was well respected and would be escorted to the tower immediately. Finally after a long trip, the horses hooves met with the cobble roads and everyone who saw The Commander of Light would bow down to her.

Soon enough a guard of the Commander came and greeted the women. "Let me take you to the tower," he offered, grabbing the reins from her and leading the horse towards the large tower in the centre of the city. Amethyst waved to the children who stared up at her in awe a large smile on her face as she did so. Amethyst was escorted to the throne room where she was greeted by a surprise. "Welcome, Commander of light," Lexa greeted standing up from her throne.

Amethyst smiled, "It's good to see you old friend," she greeted, they shook hands firmly and gave each other a nod. "So, Commander Anya?" Amethyst asked curiously. "She disappeared without a trace," those words echoed through Amethyst's mind, they sounded all too familiar.

"Your father has disappeared without a trace Amethyst, there's not much we can do."

"Well, thank god we have someone like you to fill in her place," Amethyst replied, Lexa led her towards a table between two chairs. They both took a seat and Lexa finally asked why Amethyst had traveled into the city. "I assume you know they sky people have come down to earth," amethyst said, taking a sip of tea that was offered to her. Not many people got to have tea's this rare. Lexa nodded her head and tilted her head in confusion feeling as there was something more to this story.

Lexa waved her hand and quickly every guard, assistant and mentor left the throne room. "Tell me, what it it that truly lays in your mind," Lexa said leaning back in her chair. Amethyst held her cup in her hands trying to weigh out her options. Lexa and her have been friends since youth. They trained together and they were at the top of their class of nightbloods. When it came to picking a second for the Commander, Amethyst stepped down because she knew how much Lexa wanted a chance to rule. Amethyst and Lexa sacrificed a lot for each other and they would always continue to. "Are you talking to me as my friend, or as my Commander?" Amethyst asked.

Lexa gave the women a smile. "You've always been cleaver," she commented. "I'm here to be your friend, Amethyst." Lexa told her. Amethyst nodded her head and sighed. "You're the only person I trust to tell this to," Amethyst told the brunette women in front of her. Lexa nodded her head in understanding. "Must be important then, if you choose me over your brother," Lexa replied, referring to Lincoln.

So Amethyst told Lexa everything. From how she would leave food for the Sky people, and how curious little Octavia discovered her. How they would train together and how she took the girl under her wing as a new second. Everything about the past few months was put out in the open. "You speak highly of this Octavia Blake," Lexa said finally after Amethyst was done with her story. Amethyst nodded her head, "She has great potential, she would make a great warrior," Amethyst told her friend.

"I will keep your secret," Lexa said making Amethyst relax slightly, Lexa was a woman of her word. "But you must arrange a meeting for me and this Clarke Griffin you speak of, she has some valuable information and I would love to hear it," she added on. Amethyst nodded her head, she had only ever talked to the Blake siblings, but she figured she could try and arrange this meeting.

"I will have someone show you to you room my friend, you can leave whenever you are ready to," Lexa said standing up and walking towards the large doors of the throne room. "Thank you, Lexa," Amethyst saif finally, Lexa turned to the women and nodded. "Anything for The Commander of Light," she replied before swinging the doors open and allowing everyone to come back into the Throne room.

"Please have someone take Heda gon soncha to her room," Lexa said, an assistant nodded and walked towards Amethyst. They bowed down before her slightly before telling her they would lead her to her room that was just a floor down. When Amethyst walked into the room she would often stay at during her journey into the city she smiled. "Mochof, bilaik will be hogeda," Amethyst told the assistant who nodded and left the room.

The room was lit with a soft glow of candles, the bed was covered in soft furs and random pieces of furniture littered the room. Amethyst smiled remembering the time she brought her mother with her to Ton DC. They got to stay in her room together, and she mother was blown away by the lavish conditions her daughter got to experience whenever she wanted to. The memory was one Amethyst would treasure until the day she died.

Amethyst found herself laying on the soft furs on the bed and smiling to herself as she ran her hands against them. Somewhere along the way, exhaustion took over and she fell into a light sleep, until Lexa herself knocked on the bedroom door. Amethyst stirred and told whomever it was to come in. Lexa stepped into the room and shook her head. "When was the last time you slept Amethyst?" she asked, Amethyst shrugged not remembering.

"You're a hunter, not immortal. You need rest, how do you propose to be a Commander these people look up to if you can't take care of yourself?" the woman asked, standing near the window and looking out to the bustling streets below. "I figured you would say that," Amethyst sighed before getting off the bed. "Come, the cooks prepared dinner," Lexa said without another word and walked out of the room. Amethyst followed behind her friend and they sat together for dinner.

Amethyst's mouth watered at the hot food and the overwhelming smells from different spices. "If you like the food so much, why'd you give up your chance to be the Commander?" Lexa asked cutting into some form of meat. "I'm not a leader Lexa, besides, you wanted it so much more than me," Amethyst replied shoving a piece of bread in her mouth. "You had everything it takes, you still do," Lexa commented, Amethyst rolled her eyes. "Being Commander has been something you've talked about since we were children, you got what you wanted and I got what I wanted," she replied. Lexa raised her eyebrows. "And what is it that you wanted?"

"To help everyone in anyway I could," Amethyst replied sipping on a cup of water.
