"Shouldn't they be back by now?" A green hedgehog muttered

"Just be patient Scourge" A pink hedgehog sighed

"How can i be patient when they should had been back hours ago?" Scourge muttered

"Amy is right" A purple chameleon stated "I'm sure their fine"

"how can we be sure? I mean that 'King' could have beheaded them!" Scourge exclaimed

"That guy couldn't kill them" red echidna rolled his eyes as he sharpened his sword

"Plus their always late" Amy stated

"Yeah, we are always late" Mephilies stated as he rolled his eyes, everyone turned to him and saw the small fox who was asleep on his shoulder, Shadow standing beside him and Silver who stood there awkwardly

"What is HE doing here?" Scourge hissed Ashe glared at Silver

"He helped us with our incounter of the king" Shadow explained "and he's offered to help"

"Why would he help us he wis friends with the very king that wants to kill us?!" Scourge snapped

"It's not him" Silver stated

"What does that mean?" Knuckles and everyone stared at him as Mephilies placed the sleeping child down

"He told us that the old king took his son away for a few months and when they returned he was different" Shadow stared as he glared at Silver

"Yeah a lot of people change on long trips" Scourge scoffed "so what?"

Silver just sighed as it was hard to explain what his s gut was telling him, that his friend wasn't the person killing countless people, but he was somewhere and he had to find him

"It's okay if you don't want me here" Silver started "I'll just look for Sonic myself, I just don't believe that he could've turned into a monster like his father, he despised that behaviour as a child"

Everyone remained silent as they watched Silver turn and begin to walk away, but a bright glow blinded them all

And when it faded a female echidna was there with a fearful expression as she looked at them

"Tikal? What's wrong?" Knuckles asked worriedly

"He's right...." Was all she said

"Wha-? Whose right?" Scourge asked

Tikal only looked at Silver as her eyes remained on him as she spoke "He is not our king...but an imposter placed by the queen of darkness...and the prince remains in her grasp...."

Everyone was silent as it began to dawn on them, even Silver as they all realised that he was right and that the king wasn't the true king
