I sat there and explained it all to him and he just sat there laughing. At the end of the story Jooheon just looked at me and smiled.

"You've been through some crazy shit since you've been here.."

I looked at the ground and laughed. "Yeah- tell me about it..."

He reached across the table and grabbed my hand. "From here on out- you and me. We're a team. I've got your back- like the old times. Okay?"

Staring back into those eyes- that was the Jooheon I remember. My Jooheon.

I quickly nodded making him smile.

"Let's get out of here-" I'm gonna take you somewhere.

"And where is that-?"

"You'll see." He smirked.

We left a tip and walked out of the restaurant as Jooheon got ready to flag down a taxi.

After his very entertaining attempts to catch a cab, one finally stopped and we hopped into the back seat.

After a half an hour or so drive we arrived at a park. Okay- not just a park, but THE park- our park from when we were little.

We used to walk there every Saturday and play for hours, just the two of us. He would bring his basketball and teach me how to shoot. He'd help me across the monkey bars, and race up and down the slides. It was our oasis from the world, alone together.

As we got out of the taxi and stepped onto the sidewalk, Jooheon punched my shoulder screaming "YOU'RE IT", before running off onto the jungle gym. After pausing for a moment to register what was happening I took off after him, laughing. It was just like old times. We chased each other for what seemed like hours before we planted ourselves on the bridge, panting and sweating.

" I don't know how toddlers do it- I have dance practice everyday for 4 hours and I never get this tired."

I just laughed at him and rested my head on his shoulder, trying to catch my breath.

"This is our park Jooheon- it hasn't changed." I sighed happily as I closed my eyes, a small smile on my face.

"Its perfect. I miss it. We should come here more often."

The wind rustled through the trees, a cold breeze passing over us causing me to shiver.

"Awe- Lee are you cold."

"Just a-" Before I could even answer him, he was hugging me tightly in his arms.

My heart started pounding as my body reacted to his touch, even though my mind was screaming for my body to ignore my feelings.

Screw it. I was sick of being conflicted. I was just going to tell him that I thought I liked him.

"Jooheon-" I whispered

"You know Lee, I've missed you."

My mind stopped screaming and my heart picked up. He just made this so much easier for me.

"I've missed you too, but Jooheon-"

"You're my best friend Lee never forget that, okay?"

My heart sank a bit.

"Oh friend- right..."

"We're you wanting to tell me something? Sorry- I kept interrupting."

"Oh- uh, no. Just- I think we should go soon, it's going to start getting dark soon."

He chuckled a bit. "We're fine Lee. Besides, I want to talk to you more about I.M."

"You do?" I cocked my head a bit, confused.

"Yes- I think you should give him a chance and go on a date with him."

"Oh- alright- thanks.."

Note to self. Feelings are not reciprocated, but mine are there. I definitely liked him.

"Alright- well, let's get going. It's going to be a long walk back."

"A long walk-?"

"Yeah, the cabs stopped running about an hour ago- so we'd better start walking."

He turned and started walking down the sidewalk.

"Dammit Jooheon.." I muttered under my breath before running and catching up to him.
