santana's point of view

After an eventful morning at the market, Lee and I decided to grab some food at the hibachi grill. I look up from my menu and see that he's already staring at me.

Me: What?
Lee: Nothing, you're just pretty is all.

My eyes widen at the unexpected compliment, I thank him before looking back at my menu. Nothing seems too appealing, he chuckles.

Lee: You don't really like places like these.
Me: I don't?

He shakes his head, his soft smiling never fading.

Lee: You're a person who prefers chicken fingers and fries over steak and lobster.

I hum.

Lee: Thrift shopping over boutiques, naps over anything, chocolate over vanilla, boys over flowers..

He laughs at his own joke and I can't help but too smile at the dork.

Me: So I'm not like the other girls, I'm one of those quirky people who doesn't shut up about it?

He shakes his head.

Lee: You're genuine, everything about you is genuine and that's why..

He sighs.

Lee: That's why I fell in love the first time.

The drive back to the house is quiet, his words replaying in my mind over and over again. Usually when someone tells you how or why they fell in love with you your heart skips a beat and you become giddy.

I don't feel that, I want to feel that though.

Once we're in the house we smile awkwardly before parting paths. I go onto the patio to get some air, Wonho is sitting there reading a book with his feet propped up.

Me: Hi.

He glances up and smiles, my heart begins to race.

Wonho: Hi San, did you have fun with Lee?
Me: Yeah, I had a really good time. I ran into an old friend named Cina.

Wonho nods.

Wonho: Ah, from college. The one who was too naive to guess it wasn't a coincidence your boyfriends names was the exact same as the idols known as monsta-x?

He giggles.

Wonho: Is she still with that one guy? I forgot his name. He's really handsome, nice to her but an asshole to everyone else.

I shrug.

Me: She was with some guy but I don't remember him. She called him something that started with a S.

He places his feet on the ground and pats his lap. I walk over and straddle his waist, shocking not only him but myself. His hands wrap around my waist and I bury my face in his neck.

Wonho: What's wrong baby?

I shake my head, he tsks.

Wonho: Don't lie to me.

He rubs soothing circles on my back while I fight the urge to cry. I'm so confused about everything, the more I try to remember the more it's a giant blur.

Me: I wish I could remember my old life.

He kisses the top of my head before sighing.

Wonho: You were blunt, shy but somehow still friendly. Always willing to help someone out no matter the case. You put Infinity back together through a hope and a dream.

I continue to listen while playing with his hair.

Wonho: Really patient and forgiving. Your loyalty was and is like no other, a beautiful soul inside and out. Everything you do is genuine, you're genuine.

I smile.

Wonho: You made us fall in love with you without even trying, so even if you're unsure now I'll wait for you. I'll wait for you forever because I love you.

My heart flutters in my chest telling me all that I need to know.

i hope wonho had all the ramen he could eat and all the happiness he could absorb. i miss him soo much it's crazy.
