Oh, come on.... You can do it.... Almost—there—c'mon! C'mon c'mon C'MON! YES—
*looks off to the side* Oh, hi, Dad. No, I'm not playing games. I'm using my Google Translate app to help me with my French homework. Yes, of course thats allowed. Au revoir! *waves and shuts "door"*
*goes over to "computer" and starts playing game* C'mon, c'mon, don't let me down, you.... Aw! No! No! Not fair! That was not fair! That— *pauses and looks off to side again* Welcome home, Mom. No, I'm not playing games. I'm checking my teachers' websites and homework calendars and printing out my math homework. *pauses* Dinner's when? Okay, I'll be down at six-thirty. Bye now! *waves again, then shuts "door"*
*goes over, turns on "game console," and starts playing* Come on, Princess Peach, you can win, come on.... GO, PEACH! YEAH! YEAH!
*looks off at the side yet again* Hi again, Dad. *pauses* Oh, I finished all my homework already. Yeah. Now go away! See you at dinner.
*continues playingfor a bit, then turns off "console"* *sighs, stands up, and clapshands* All right, time to start my homework...."

This is one of my earlier monologues (earlier as in I wrote it four years ago in my freshman year of high school), so whether or not this is actually humorous is a good question. But it is indeed ironic, as I originally intended. It is good way to show off pantomime abilities (if you choose to pantomime all of the gaming equipment), and a good, modern monologue if you are auditioning for a character similar to this.
