So, I'm at a dance running around like an awkward person since I don't know anybody, and my phone won't load volume two, so I'm just going to replace #YOU. I forgot what I was going to talk about, anyway.

Okay, I think we can all agree that 2016 was a horrible year.

Oh wait, correction: you guys can all agree that 2016 was a horrible year.

Believe it or not, I happened to like 2016. Because if any of you have noticed, this was the first time in seven years for me when I have actually been content with me life. Well, not completely, but this is the best time I've had since I was in the second grade.

Looking back, 2016 was not that bad. Not only did I finally get my chance to play in band and learn an instrument, but I've met so many people this year that I've come to love.

Then again, if I really think about it, 2016 was horrible. I remember exactly where I was at the beginning of the year; sitting in my bedroom, alone, sobbing. I just knew that this would be a hard year. The politics just ruined me, I was either bored, depressed, or really stressed out. This was probably the first year I can remember that I was not excited for holidays.

Yes, we can all say that 2016 was a really hard year. But seriously guys, think about it. Think about where you were at the beginning of the year as opposed to now. Some of you probably graduated from high school or the dreaded middle school. Maybe you got married, engaged, went to the temple for the first time, got baptized, won a competition, joined a team, whatever. And I can guarantee that you at least learned something this year.

So, yeah, 2016 was really long and really hard for a lot of us, but without it we would have never gotten to where we are now, just moments away from 2017.
