Shirokuro Hospital

~.~ Len's POV ~.~

I waited until the door was open. In the hospital, we were allowed outside, but for a certain amount of time.

I looked back at my sister, who was just staring blankly at a mirror, talking to herself.

I sighed, and exit the room, hitting my face on the door as I walked past.

I had complete heterochromia, and so did my sister. This is when someone has two different coloured eyes. One eye was blue, and one eye was yellow. For my sister, her right eye was yellow, and my left eye was the yellow one. Unfortunately, the yellow eye was blind, which meant my depth perception was way off. This meant I slammed into things almost everyday. My sister... She doesn't move much, so she's fine... I guess.

Rin, my sister, not only had complete heterochromia but she also had schizophrenia. She hallucinates lots of things, but mostly... Me, in a mirror...

When we were brought here, as four year old children, we had nothing with us, so Rin couldn't keep in contact with 'Len'. When she realised this, she started screaming and crying for 'Len'. The nurse who let us into the hospital looked at me, knowing that my name was Len. On brotherly instinct, I hugged her. I did it to let her know I was still here, and to restrain her, as she was kicking and scratching the staff members. She didn't calm down until the staff members found a mirror that was identical to the one she had before. She started pushing me away, clawing at my face. I still have the scars to prove it. She has started to call me Oliver.

My train of thoughts were interrupted by a wall meeting my face. I thought that it was 5 meters away... Guess I was wrong.

I finally made my way to the courtyard. No one really talked to each other, but I had a few people I would consider friends. Miku was born with a few fingers missing, Oliver was born with his left eye missing and Piko was born as both a boy and a girl. He prefers to be called a boy though. And he also has complete heterochromia. For Piko, one eye is electric blue and the other is electric green. Sometimes, when my sister isn't in her hallucinogenic state, she would hang out with the four of us. She would be a very energetic and rough girl. She is fun like that. She called me Len. But when she hallucinates, she knows no one else and obliviously calls me Oliver.

The other patients don't talk much otherwise.

Why were any of us here in the first place? Were we orphans? No. We were left here by unloving parents. I still remember being brought here. I don't remember mum or dad's face. But why would I want to remember? They left us here. They didn't love us.

The four of us watched awkwardly as other patients would wonder aimlessly around.

"Hey, you guys!"

The four of us turned our heads to see Rin, who was completely normal. Thank God.

"Oh, hey Rin." I smiled back. Its always nice when she was normal.

"Hey bro." She ruffled my already messy hair. "So, what's up?"

"Nothing," Piko said, "As always."

"Huh."

We watched awkwardly yet again.

"Do you guys want to do something!" Rin said, obviously very bored.

"There's nothing to do..." Miku chimed in.

"Man," Rin said in an annoyed monotone voice, "You guys are boring..."

Another awkward silence.

"Sooo... Now what?"

"Lets play tag!" Oliver said

"Aw shit!" The Kagamine twins said in unison "We're crap at that game!"

"Sucks to be you."

"What about hide and seek? Less running around and its fair for all of us."

"Fine."

After hours of playing hide and seek, we were made to eat lunch and stay in our rooms for the rest of the day. Rin went back to her floaty personality and started talking to 'Len', completely ignoring me. It saddened me to see her like that. Its like she knew no one. Sometimes, when she loses her mirror, I try to comfort her, but she scratches me, saying that I'm not real. She called out for 'Len' to save her, but obviously, he never came. When she would find her mirror, she acted as if nothing happened.

I sat alone, with nothing to do but read. Luckily, the hospital was kind enough to supply a bookshelf in each dorm.

Only once did my sister become normal, and we played handball with one that we found on the grounds of the facility. We bounced it, talking about nothing in particular. After a while, she went back to her mirror.

After a while, it was dinner. And after dinner, the day had ended, and we all went to bed.
