The person fell through the air, not knowing where they would land until suddenly they found themselves landing on pavement.

They hit the ground hard and groaned in pain. They looked around momentarily, trying to get their bearings, their mind still fuzzy.

Their body froze as their black eyes noticed a group of unknown creatures surrounding them. The creatures were all staring at the person, with various expressions that the person couldn't make sense of.

Their mind was still foggy from the impact, they didn't know what to do, their body hurting too much to move, and the presence of the unknown creatures unnerving them.

The person decided they had to get away, and fast.

They mustered all of their strength and started to run away from the creatures. Their legs felt heavy, their muscles ached from the fall, and it was difficult to run as fast as they wanted to. But they kept pushing, knowing they couldn't let the creatures catch up to them. The pain faded from their mind, the only thing that mattered now was getting away.

'Where am I..?'

"This is so good!"

The squirrel's tail waved back and forth in delight. His face was covered in crumbs from a brunch sandwich but his smile was still more apparent. The fox beside him nodded happily before snagging another sandwich from the basket in the middle.

(Y/N) was eating his sandwich sloppily, and crumbs were falling all over his face. He didn't seem to notice or care and was simply focused on stuffing his face with the delicious food. Suddenly, the pink hedgehog crawled over and wiped the crumbs off of his face. The wolf was surprised, but also grateful for her small gesture. Amy felt a little warm about the whole thing, knowing her crus- friend didn't mind Amy seeing him at his messiest, though she couldn't deny that it was nice taking care of him.

The boy smiled at the hedgehog, who stood there for a moment, her face glowing bright red. (Y/N) decided to take advantage of the moment and quickly stuffed his face with another bite of his sandwich, getting crumbs all over his face again.

Mighty chuckled at (Y/N)'s crumb-covered face before wiping some of the large crumbs off his face with his thumb. (Y/N) turned towards him, confused by the laughter.

"Mwhat?" He asked, his mouth full of food.

The armadillo laughed again and paused for a few seconds to chew his food. "Don't talk with your mouth full, (Y/N)!"

"Mhy?"

"You might choke."

"Huh..."

The wolf began eating their sandwich again until they heard footsteps. He looked up and saw the red-haired boy walking into the room whom he didn't have a good relationship with. (Y/N) stopped eating, feeling awkward and uncomfortable that his sandwich-eating session was being intruded upon. He hoped that the person wouldn't notice him and that he wouldn't have to talk. However, the two had locked eyes, and the wolf couldn't help to force out a groan.

Once the sound reached his ears, Chris rolled his eyes dramatically. He found it annoying that he had to see him again, or that he had ruined his good mood, and was clearly annoyed to be within his proximity. (Y/N) ignored the gesture and continued to eat, not wanting to have a confrontation with the human again.

"Hey, Chris!" Sonic happily called out to the boy, knocking the anger to the back of Chris's head. "You need something?"

"Oh, Yeah!" The boy perked up. "I'm going to school, so I'm counting on you guys to stay out of sight when my parents show up!"

Multiple reassuring calls rang out causing Chris to smile- before it suddenly faded when Sonic got up and walked out of the room. (Y/N)'s head tilted to the side. 'Did something happen?' He thought as he followed him to the roof of the building, cautiously watching his footing.

Sonic lay there, a small frown placed on his scrunched-up face. At first, he was unaware of the presence of another until a small shadow blocked the warm sun from the hedgehog's body. He groaned in annoyance. Most of his instincts knew the person would be the loving Amy Rose, but as he peeked his left eye open, his body took a screenshot as (Y/N) the Wolf peered over Sonic with his usual monotone expression.

The hedgehog's heart started beating a bit faster, and he tried his hardest not to show it at first. But he couldn't help but smile, and feel a bit excited at the fact that the wolf was suddenly joining them on the roof.

It felt like a scene from a romantic movie, and he felt a bit silly for being so excited about it. Still, he was definitely happy to see his friend, and couldn't wait to spend time with him in the unique setting of the red roof.

"Hey, Amor! What's up?" Sonic casually greets him as his body sneakily scoots over to the taller boy's figure.

(Y/N) looks up towards the sky. His black eyes squint as his eyes scan the blue world above. "Um... I see clouds... and some birds-"

"No, no!" Sonic laughed as he waved his hands in amusement. "It means 'how are you'? You don't actually have to tell me what's up!"

"Oh :/"

"It's alright... Hey, how come you looked so surprised when Chris mentioned his parents?"

"What?"

Sonic shifted slightly closer to the wolf. He moved to lie on his side; his whole body facing the boy beside him. "You seemed shocked when Chris said his parents were coming over. Why is that?"

"I didn't know Christopher had parents." (Y/N) simply shrugged. Sonic tilted his head to the side as he let out a small, confused chuckle.

"Well, yeah! Everyone has parents! Don't you?"

"No— well, I do have Sarah and Phillip... I think..?"

Sonic blinked in heavy confusion. His tilted head tilted even more to the side and his ears flicked to the side of his quills. "Who??"

"They found me when I warped off the roof." (Y/N)'s face lit up a bit when he mentioned his parental figures. It was apparent in his voice when he spoke of his relationship with the older, animal couple. The wolf's tail slowly waved back and forth, and he also had a small smile on his face, which only grew bigger when he noticed his friend was listening intently to his short story.

His smile, however, shrunk when he noticed the distant look on Sonic's face.

The hedgehog looked sadder and just overall guilty, making (Y/N) justifiably confused. His ears leaned to the side as he opened up his mouth to speak— but Sonic let out a sad sigh, shutting the boy up instantly. "So there's more mobians here?.." All (Y/N) could do is nod, which didn't help the evident frown on Sonic's face.

A groan left the blue blur's mouth as he used his hands to rub his face in disappointed guilt. "Chaos...-" He whispered. "- I really messed up didn't I..?"

(Y/N) sat there and stared at him with mixed emotions. His mouth slanted down in pity while his eyes held anything but. Yes, the boy has a slight tinge of guilt - one that is not so strong he feels it all the time, but enough that it's still there in the back of his mind.

He obviously didn't mind being brought to this strange world. It was way, way better than the world he was previously in, and the only thing he had to worry about is the random machines Dr. Eggman throws at his friends. There were no bodies in the street, no dangerous schools, no crazy hairstylists, and no weird doctors— plus, as a bonus, whenever humans see him, they don't chase after him rather they just stare at him and whisper.

If he wanted to, (Y/N) would just get up and wrap him in a great, big hug.

"I guess you did bring us here...-" (Y/N) stared, getting Sonic's attention. "- but I wouldn't have met you all if you didn't."

Sonic removed his hands from his face; touched by his words, appreciating that (Y/N) is actually grateful despite what happened. Sonic felt a little calmer knowing that the wolf didn't hold a grudge.

The hedgehog also felt a bit sheepish or embarrassed, realizing that he has no reason to feel guilty. He might make a reminder to let (Y/N) know that it's okay, and maybe even apologize for making him feel guilty.

"Well... I guess that's a nice way to put it." A small smile made its way to Sonic's face as his hands fell back to the red roof they lie on. "Yeah, that's a great way to put it. Thanks, (Nickname)."

(Y/N) nodded and Sonic nervously chuckled, some blush forming on his face. "Sorry you had to see me like that. I usually... keep that stuff in."

"It's fine. I don't mind, Sonic."

.

Muffled voices.

The wolf's eyes flickered awake, with a warm and pleasant sensation all around him. Light was pouring in through his eyelids, filling his sight with a warm glow and bringing them back to consciousness. The soft, gentle breeze was blowing around him, the sound of rustling grass wafting across his ears. As he opened his eyes, he took a deep breath, absorbing the peace and serenity of the moment. The sun was shining down from a clear, blue sky, giving everything an extra sense of lightness and calm.

Groaning, (Y/N) shifted in his spot. He moved to sit up, but a hand gently pushed him back down to whatever he was laying on. "Huh..?"

"Shh. Just go back to sleep."

"Sonic..? What am I... laying on..?"

"You're laying on my lap."

"Oh... Wait what?"

(Y/N) sat up quickly; his black eyes slightly wide as he turns his head slowly toward the disappointed face of Sonic. He scrunched his face up in confusion and tilted his head exhaustedly to the side. "Why am I on your lap?"

"You were the one who went lie on my lap." Sonic shrugged.

Before (Y/N) could answer, a high-pitched voice echoed from behind the boys. "What's going on?" The hedgehog turned around to see Tails, Ray, and Amy, soon followed by Mighty, peeking out of the window. Originally going to take a peek at Chris's parents that just landed in a... helicopter..?-- anyways, they could help but turn around and listen to Sonic and (Y/N) talking to each other.

"Oh, hey, Tails! What's up?"

"Uhh- nothing really. We were just looking at Chris's parents who just arrived."

(Y/N) looked at the human couple walking into the large home in the distance before turning toward the large machine making a very large swooping sound. "Is that what all that sound was?" He huffed.

"Yeah." Mighty cut it with a smile. "They seem pretty sweet. What do you think, (Y/N)?"

The wolf shrugged. "They seem alright."

Amy let out a small laugh before facing the blue hedgehog. "Yeah, his mom is really pretty! Don't you think so, Sonic?"

Sonic huffed, still disappointed from his and (Y/N)'s bonding time coming to an abrupt end. Amy sighed and turned back toward the front door which the parents walked through, her face slightly down from being ignored.

"Why don't we get a closer look?" Ray dragged the group in the window away upon noticing the awkward air beginning to form around them. He waved happily to (Y/N), who waved back, before exiting the building and making his way toward the large mansion with his friends.

Sonic and (Y/N) made eye contact and they both shrugged.

As the wolf went to lie down, something suddenly landed on his lap. "Switch places!"

He was surprised to see Sonic suddenly laying on his lap. He looked down, still stunned by the unexpectedness of it all. He observed the hedgehog closely, noticing the way that his head was turned slightly to the side and his green eyes were opened, looking at the clouds above. Sonic looked peaceful and content, the sun shining down on his face and the breeze blowing his blue quills around.

"... Okay?" (Y/N) sat up, allowing Sonic to be more comfortable. The hedgehog, in response, smiled brighter and turned his attention back to (Y/N), happy the atmosphere wasn't awkward between him due to his sudden moves.

"Hey, (Y/N)."

"Hmm?"

"What... ever happened to your real parents?"

The boy wolf looked at the sky, trying to rack his brain for any memories of any people who took care of him. He squinted his eyes, he scrunched up his face, he placed a hand on his chin, and yet— nothing.

"... I don't remember. Maybe they're dead."

"Oh..." (Y/N) shrugged as Sonic looked at him in sympathy. Moving his hand from sandwiching between his head and the wolf's lap, Sonic rubbed (Y/N)'s arm in reassurance; bringing confusion to the boy's face. "... I'm sorry."

"Can't-miss someone you've never met."

"Ture, I can't argue with that."

"What about you? Where's your parents?"

Sonic rubbed under his nose, a small, embarrassed smile making its way onto his face. "To be honest, my mind's kinda fuzzy too. When I think really hard, I see either two hedgehogs, one a woman and one a robot; a large owl, a human man and a human woman, or a small hedgehog woman and a tall hedgehog man."

"That's a lot..?" (Y/N) blinked in surprise making Sonic chuckle. "Yeah, I don't think about it too much."

"-- Hey, maybe Sarah and Phillip might take me in! I can add it to my list of random parents."

Sonic laughed loudly, his eyes closing before opening wide at the sound of a small, raspy chuckle. He turned his head to see the struggling smile on (Y/N)'s lips and the gloveless hand moving to cover his red, giggling face. "T-That is such... a stupid thought." The wolf huffed out while tilting his hat down to cover his face.

The hedgehog laughed once more before snatching the fedora off of (Y/N)'s head and plopping it on his own head. (Y/N) looked down at Sonic's covered, cackling face in surprise and slight amusement.

Suddenly, Sonic sat up, his face noticeably more serious and concerned. His ears flicked slightly to the side as he stood up to look at the sky. (Y/N) looked at him in utter confusion, his hands placed in his lap. "What's wrong?"

"Somethings wrong." Sonic took the hat on his head off, ruffled his hair, and placed it back on (Y/N)'s head.

And like that, he was gone. The wolf opened his mouth but then closed it, deciding he would not comment on whatever just happened. He instead stood up, static surrounding him like a tornado, before disappearing in a purple/blue hue.

.

The Scottish Fold, who had been cooking in the kitchen for quite some time, laid out the dinner table with utensils and plates and then brought out a large steaming bowl of spaghetti. Her husband sat patiently, looking hungry while waiting for their meal. The scent of pasta was intoxicating and the wife smiled slightly as she saw her husband's reaction to the delicious smell. She then ladled out the noodles, topped them with a generous helping of tomato sauce, and set the bowl down on the table in front of her spouse.

"I wonder how the kids are doing..." Sarah wondered while preparing a plate of her own.

Phillip scoffed as he wrapped his fork in spaghetti noodles. "Our kids or the ones you randomly brought into our house and illegally adopted?"

Both Sarah and Phillip laughed. "Shut up haha!" She once again entered the kitchen and opened the cabinet to pull out a nice, red wine. Sitting down in her seat beside her husband, Sarah poured them both a cup of red wine with a somewhat saddened look on her face. "... I wish we could see at least one of them today..." She breathed out.

The Heeler sighed at his wife's sadness and carefully held her hand that was placed on the table. They simultaneously locked fingers and eyes. Phillip slightly blushed due to the surprising amount of affection he was giving and quickly removed his hand from hers, causing Sarah to laugh.

"Well..." Phillip stared. "It's not like one of 'em is just going to appear on our kitchen table—" Suddenly, (Y/N) fell on their kitchen table.

Both Sarah and Phillip stared at the wolf, frozen in shock. (Y/N) simply waved and then jumped off the table to take a seat beside the surprised Fold.

Finally, Sarah calmed down her racing heart and decided to turn toward the boy who suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "(Y/N), dear, where did you come from..?"

"Christopher's house."

"Okay... and how did you get here exactly??"

"I used my powers."

"..."

Phillip just sighed before shoving food in his mouth. He chewed slightly before turning toward his wife and his- I mean the child. "Anyways, can we all just eat now?"

Nodding in agreement, Sarah began to finish making her plate while focusing half of her attention on (Y/N). "Would you like to eat lunch with us, hun?"

He nodded and shifted his place on his seat excitedly, his tail swaying behind him. The wife gently places the plate of hot spaghetti on the table in front of the wolf, who is sitting patiently in his seat. The steam rises off the pasta as she carefully arranges it on the plate, her movements smooth and confident, as if she's done this hundreds of times before. The husband smiles warmly at her, enjoying the moment she and the boy are having.

"So, (Y/N)-" Sarah spoke up after wiping the tomato sauce off of (Y/N)'s face. "- who exactly is Christopher? Is he a new friend of yours?"

"Not exactly."

"Why do you say that?"

"Me and him don't get along. It's because I push him away a lot."

"Did he do something thing?" Sarah looked at him in concern but it dropped when he shook his head.

"He just... reminds me of someone."

Sarah and Phillip turned to look at each other before turning back to (Y/N), worry plastered on their faces. "Who?" They asked simultaneously.

"... Myself." The boy rubbed the back of his head, half in guilt and half in embarrassment. He looks away, not wanting to meet their eyes, but he does feel comforted by the two, their presence a source of security for him in this moment of confession.

The Fold strokes her son's hair as the Heeler gives him a reassuring smile, letting him know everything is okay.

"It's alright, (Y/N). How about after dinner, we go snooping around town? I'm sure that'll get your mind off things." Phillip offered while finishing his plate of spaghetti. (Y/N) nods, happy about the change of topic, before scarfing down his food.

"Slow down, love! You may choke on your food!"

"Oh- Cough

.

Sarah, Phillip, and (Y/N) are now walking through the alleyways of the city, seeking some fresh air to clear their heads. The Fold walks alongside her husband, holding her son's hand. As they walk, they take in the bustle of the city's streets, soaking in the sights, sounds, and smells, allowing the atmosphere to ease some of their stress. The wolf is glad to be out with the two, taking in everything. They walk on for a few minutes, letting the city's atmosphere cleanse their thoughts, allowing them a moment to catch their breath.

Suddenly, (Y/N) was swept up and placed on top of broad shoulders. He looks down to see the fluffy face of Phillip, who cheerfully grinned at him before pointing toward a window in front of them. (Y/N) leaned forward slightly and peered into the window ahead of them. His black eyes could make out humans holding large sticks and poking at balls with weird stances. His left ear lowers in puzzlement as his brow raises at the sight.

"What are they doing?"

"Playing a human game called Pool. I tried it with Mom when they closed for the night and I actually liked it."

"I didn't. I kept losing." Sarah added making both her and Phillip laugh.

As the Fold, the Heeler, and the wolf began to walk again, they engage in conversation, their voices mingling with the sounds of the city's streets. They chat about their day, what they did earlier, how the other mobians are doing; anything to fill the air with conversation. The sun begins to set, casting a warm glow across the city, its streets filled with people and vehicles alike. Sarah, Phillip, and (Y/N) walk on, enjoying the sights and sounds, content with each other's company, their conversation still flowing as the sun sets.

Someone suddenly runs in front of the alleyway they were about to walk out of. At first, the couple was going to ignore the human, but (Y/N) gasped causing the human to turn and look at the three in shock.

It was a red-headed boy who was slightly panting from running. His blue eyes were wide as he looked between the old couple and the wolf in the middle of them. Before he could say anything, Sarah fumbled around in fear and worry as Phillip tried to motion for him to leave.

"Y-You didn't see anything, human!"

"Shoo! Shoo! Go away, bitch!"

"Phillip!"

Quickly, the couple began to bicker. (Y/N) looked at the human who just stared at the two, dot-eyed. He then looked over to (Y/N) with the same face. "Are these your parents, (Y/N)?"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Phillip!"

Before they could argue again, they stopped and looked at the human in confusion, who shrunk slightly under their gaze.

"How do you know him?"

"Wait, are you perhaps Christopher?"

The boy lit up slightly after hearing Sarah's claim. He nodded with a bright smile as he held the strings of the backpack on his back. "Yes! That's me! Does... Does (Y/N) talk about me?"

The wolf flinched and swiped across his neck, trying to indicate that he doesn't want them to say anything. However, Phillip, upon noticing, smirks mischievously as his tail began to wave happily.

"Actually, he does. He always talks about how kind you are."

Sarah snickered as (Y/N) began to heavily blush. Chris, oblivious to the lie, brightened immensely as a hopeful smile began to make its way onto his face.

"Really..?"

"Hehe Yep-" "NO!"

The group laughs at (Y/N)'s flustered state. He tilts his hat down before looking at Chris. The human boy smiled at him, the same smile he would always wear when they first met, causing (Y/N) to smile slightly too.

"Oh no, wait!"

"What's wrong, Christopher?"

"I need to get home as soon as possible! I'll see you guys later—"

"Wait-" Phillip stopped Chris before he could run away. He playfully shoved (Y/N) forward with a chuckle. "Apparently, Puppy can teleport. I'm sure he could teleport you there."

"Well, actually I-" "Great! Thanks, (Y/N)!"

The wolf huffed and walked over to Chris's side before turning to face his parental figures. They both waved goodbye, waiting to see (Y/N)'s so-called 'powers'. The boys waved back and turned toward each other. "Ready?"

"Yup. !TW! Hold your breath."

"Wait what-"

.

The wolf lands gracefully, a look of calm and concentration on his face. He reaches out with a steady hand and grabs onto their companion. After a brief moment, Chris appears next to him, his expression changing from confusion to a smile.

He lands without any incident, and (Y/N) releases his grip. The human stands next to him, staring out the window of his room with awe at the fact they are no longer in the city streets. "Wow!" He exclaimed.

He rushed out the door after thanking (Y/N) for bringing him here, leaving (Y/N), once again, alone— well, not really. When the wolf turned around, his dull eyes met Mighty's figure rolled up in bed, grunting and shaking in fear. Tears were pooling in his eyes and his small ears were tilted down to the side, expressing his discomfort.

Sighing, (Y/N) picked up Mighty's blanket, which was rolled up on the floor, and placed it on him. The armadillo calmed down immensely and only stopped shaking once (Y/N) gently patted his head. Mighty's body moved closer to the warmth of the boy's hand as a content smile slowly appeared on his face.

'Alright.' (Y/N) yawned. 'Time to rest.' He made his way over to his own bed before his eyes caught the sight of a pinkish paper and a plate of sandwiches laying on his dresser. The wolf sniffed at the sandwiches, his little nose twitching every so often, before turning his attention to the note that sat on top of it.

'𝘏𝘪, (𝘠/𝘕)!

Yeah, so (Y/N) couldn't read.

— But he could tell the note meant well. He smiled and picked out a few sandwiches to pig out on before laying down on his bed; praying for better sleep.

Chapter 7 - Party Hardly - Coming Soon

.

.

Sixth chapter is-a done!

This is my last update before school starts! I'm going to an art school so wish me luck and tell me I'm pretty.

I decided to give you all more Sonic fluff since- y'know, I wanted to. Think I may do platonic Cream fluff tomorrow mixed with some Mighty fluff next chapter, but I'm not entirely sure.

To those who read the story right after it was updated: I am so sorry for not changing Mono to (Y/N)! I was so tired and it completely slipped my mind! It's fixed now but I still feel bad for possibly confusing my readers.

Anywho-

I hope you have a fabulous day or night!

And I'll see you hopefully next week.

Bye Bye!
