An awkward silence laid heavy in the room as Taehyung and you sat side by side on the floor in front of your friends who were sitting on the couch; clearly still surprised by the sudden discovery of how you and Taehyung had slept together.

Nonetheless, after a painfully long silence, Yoongi let out a soft chuckle as he eyed the both of you— clearly seeing how tense you were before flashing you a soft smile as he spoke in a teasing manner to lighten the mood a bit

Yoongi: Relax a bit you two, when you're this tense it looks like you're about to ask your in-laws for permission to marry

Upon hearing Yoongi's playful remark, Taehyung nearly choked on the water he was drinking meanwhile you looked away shyly; feeling a soft shade of pink paint your cheeks at the thought.

- Though of course that was not even near what was actually happening

A soft hum left Hoseoks lips as he curiously eyed the two of you, wanting to confirm that the information he just had received from his best friends was correct

Hoseok: Okay so let me get this straight—

However, Yoongi was quick to interrupt him as he snickered whilst a smirk tugged at his lips

Yoongi: Hobi what they're doing is anything but straight-

This earned a scolding hiss from Hoseok whom rolled his eyes, mumbling out a concentrated ''Hush I obviously see that'' whilst biting back a smile

Hoseok: But what happened between you two so suddenly? I mean you're always bickering about something and getting on each other's nerves— heck you even bickered this morning! How did that suddenly turn into you two hooking up today?

Taehyung rubbed his nape as he uttered out an admitting ''Well— actually, this is not the first time we—'' making you instantly widen your eyes and scurry to cover his mouth in embarrassment; piping out a flustered ''Hyung!'' as you clearly weren't expecting such an honest confession out of him— instantly earning audible gasps from both Hobi and Yoongi, which only made your cheeks flush an even deeper red

Yoongi: Wait— not the first time? Just how long have you two been...

A sigh left your lips as you hesitantly glanced over at Taehyung who nodded as a reassurance that you could tell them if you wanted to, and you then trailed your gaze back over to your friends while timidly whispering out the confession

Jungkook: Well... We hooked up a few times before this too

Taehyung: We mutually agreed not to tell anyone about this since we didn't want to make things awkward for you guys

There was another brief moment of silence, which automatically had you nervously fidgeting with your hands as you couldn't deny the mild sense of fear you felt— worrying that they were disappointed in you or that everything would feel awkward from now on

Hoseok: So correct me if I've misunderstood, but you guys are essentially just hooking up but not dating?

You nodded slowly in confirmation whilst whispering out a barely audible ''I'm sorry'' as you lowered your head shamefully— though when a fit of warm chuckles erupted inside the room, shortly followed by a gentle and supportive pat on your shoulder from Hoseok, you bewilderedly raised your head again as they spoke

Hoseok: Sorry did we scare you guys with our questions? Bunbun, Taehyung-ah— if you guys are happy then just go for it and stop hiding it!

Yoongi: Exactly, we were just surprised bun! Besides from what we saw earlier you guys don't have any issues with chemistry either.

Taehyung and you glanced at each other, before smiling as he gently ruffled your hair whilst humming softly in agreement and playfully winking at them

Taehyung: Well you're certainly right about us not lacking chemistry

This statement instantly made the blush on your cheeks that only just had begun to calm down immediately flare up again, and so you gently hit his arm whilst shooting him a playful glare

Jungkook: Kim just because we don't have to hide it from our hyungs anymore, doesn't mean you get to expose our sex life whenever the fuck you want idiot.

A smirk crept onto his lips as he nudged your chin upwards whilst raising an eyebrow at you, his tone evidently remaining playful as he bickered back

Taehyung: Oh? But I didn't say I was specifically talking about our sex life Jeon, though glad to know you agree we have chemistry there.

Your breath hitched in disbelief as you gently covered your lips whilst looking away, meanwhile your hyungs couldn't help but burst out into another fit of laughter at the scene playing out in front of them

Hoseok: Ggukie, Taehyung-ah... We support you guys but could you please refrain from hooking up right in front of us?

Another warm wave of chuckles escaped their lips as you squeaked out an embarrassed ''W-we we weren't going t-to hyung!'' whilst practically now covering your face in embarrassment, only to steal a glance over at Taehyung whom cheerfully was laughing and chatting with your hyungs

And maybe— just maybe... Your heart may have stuttered slightly as you took some time to secretly admire him for a bit.

| Later...

After spending some time hanging out together with your hyungs, it was now time for Taehyung to head back home as it was getting quite late— and considering how you still needed to drop by the convenience store, it was only natural that you offered to walk with him half way.

The mildly chilly night breeze graced your skin as you quietly walked side by side, enjoying the way the different colored lights from the street signs accompanied by the street lights and cars passing by light up the surroundings prettily. And after a while longer of simmering in a comfortable silence, you carefully glanced up at Taehyung before very softly calling out to him

Jungkook: Hyung...?

He let out a soft hum in a response to your sudden gentle way of calling him while glancing down at you, and so you hesitated for a bit before speaking up once more— letting your curiosity take over as you wanted to know how he felt after today

Jungkook: ...Are you mad that they found out?

A soft chuckle could be heard emitting past his lips before he slowly shook his head

Taehyung: No, though I will admit I was afraid they'd beat me up at first

The older then stopped in his tracks and turned towards you while playfully ruffling your hair, the random assumption earning a soft giggle out of you as you tilted your head slightly in confusion

Jungkook: Beat you up? Come on, why would they do that dummy

Taehyung: Because you're their precious bun, so it wouldn't have been surprising if they didn't like the news of you sleeping with someone you're not dating— let alone someone they know you bicker with a lot.

You shrugged softly as you both slowly resumed walking side by side once again, though you couldn't help how your thoughts unwillingly wandered off for a bit; dangerously coming close to imagining things which you absolutely shouldn't be— though thankfully you were soon snapped out of it as Taehyung spoke up once more

Taehyung: Oh right, this means you won't need to cover up the hickeys anymore

A breathy laugh left your lips as you rolled your eyes whilst side-eyeing him

Jungkook: I wouldn't have had to cover any if you could've just refrained from making a bunch of hickeys on me in the first place Kim.

He smirked while teasingly winking at you— looking ever so proud as he once again glanced down at your neck where at least two marks were visible for him to admire

Taehyung: Oh but where's the fun in that, I already told you that you've got your art and I have mine. Besides, now others at our uni will know to keep their hands off.

The way he had said particularly that last part undoubtedly made your heart flutter as you momentarily felt quite flustered and at a loss for words, though you swiftly snapped out of it and giggled whilst nudging him playfully

Jungkook: You sound awfully territorial for someone strictly only wanting to be friends who hook up.

A softly hitched breath then left your lips as he suddenly stopped right in front of you once again, placing his index finger under your chin and using it to make you look up at him while his eyes and tone turned somewhat serious

Taehyung: And that still stands, I simply just don't like sharing you Jeon.

You gulped and obediently nodded whilst fighting off the butterflies his sudden gesture had given you— only to talk back to him in an equally serious yet calm tone shortly after, doing your best to suppress the way he was able to make your legs grow weak oh so easily

Jungkook: Then it's only fair you stick to those rules yourself Kim.

A smirk tugged at his lips while he stepped back and playfully rolled his eyes slightly, realizing the convenience store was merely a few feet away meaning this was the place where you both were supposed to part ways. However, an amused chuckle suddenly left his lips as he glanced over towards the convenience store and then back down at you as if he suddenly remembered something, making you frown in confusion while utter out a curious ''What's so funny?'' to him

Taehyung: No I just— realized we met a lot earlier than we first thought we did.

This only made you all the more confused as you tilted your head slightly

Jungkook: What are you suddenly babbling about, we already talked about how we met?

He gently flicked your forehead as he shook his head before pointing towards the convenience store

Taehyung: Remember when you first moved to the dorms and you just settled for getting dinner from the convenience store? You're wearing the exact same shirt and jacket as you were wearing on that rainy day back then.

A breathy giggle left your lips as you nodded in confirmation, only to bewilderedly frown in confusion while glancing down at your own clothes to confirm what he was saying was in fact true

Jungkook: Wait— how do you know what I was wearing that day?

And then it clicked; the memory of a gentle bell ringing being heard when a man exited the convenience store at the same time as you were about to enter, kindly holding the door open for you until you were safe from the heavy downpour— instantly making your eyes widen in disbelief as you looked up at him

Jungkook: You—... You were the one who held the door for me back then?!

He nodded slowly as he laughed softly at the memory, earning a warm giggle out of you as you smiled fondly at the memory of the simple yet kind gesture you very much had needed that day

- It sure is funny how some things in life play out...

Nonetheless, he gently patted your head as he flashed you a warm smile before playfully winking at you

Taehyung: Well anyway, I better get going and you should hurry back home too before they think we went for a round two at my place— or before you get locked out again like last time.

A soft groan left your lips at the continuous teasing from the older, though when his tone then proceeded to soften as he whispered a gentle ''Goodnight Jungkook-ah'' into your ear— you couldn't help but melt and bite back any complaints

Only being able to nod and hope he didn't hear the way your heartbeat decided to act up as you looked into his eyes, whispering out an equally gentle ''Goodnight Taehyung-ah'' before watching as he turned around and crossed the street to go back home.
