As the moonlight's shine gradually became your only source of light inside the otherwise dark forest, you couldn't help but mumble a soft curse under your breath— now wishing that you had brought your phone with you instead of leaving it in the bedroom, at least then you would've had a flashlight to help light up the path better.

All though there thankfully was no chance you'd end up getting lost considering how you only had to walk back down the very same way you originally came from, it was more so the darkness that made it a tad more challenging since the trail was littered with slippery stones and tree roots that stuck up from the ground here and there— not to mention it had rained a little bit merely an hour ago which naturally only meant the trail would be more slippery than it usual.

It wouldn't take a genius to predict the potential disaster just waiting to happen at any moment, and it wasn't long before luck no longer was on your side when you accidentally made one wrong move, immediately feeling how the slippery surface of the stone you had stepped on slid your foot off as soon as you had put your weight on it— shortly after making a soft thud echo through the forest after you ended up falling down onto the ground

A pained wince escaped past your lips as you slowly pushed yourself to sit up before gently lifting your left arm in an attempt to examine the injury; barely being able to make out the bleeding scrape wound that painted it thanks to your darkly light surroundings, but still light enough to assure you that any severe injuries had been successfully avoided.

Though when a sudden ray of light began to appear off in the distance which gradually made it's way right towards you, eventually forcing you to squint your eyes and raise your hand in order to protect them from the bright light— and you couldn't help but frown slightly when you finally could make out who it was

Jungkook: Please stop shining your flashlight in my eyes Kim, I'd prefer to still be able to see you know?

The older scoffed softly whilst making an effort in directing the light at something else, evidently eyeing your current state as he rolled his eyes and let out an audible sigh— and you couldn't help but huff softly when he wordlessly reached out his hand towards you whilst looking away; essentially making it blatantly obvious just how uncomfortable he was right now, so you nudged away his hand

Jungkook: Thanks but I don't need your help, I can stand on my own...

However, when you tried to stand up by yourself the sudden spike of pain radiating from your ankle ended up catching you off guard; instantly making you bite back a pained whimper as you slumped back down onto the ground in defeat, instinctively reaching down to soothe the area throbbing in pain while a subtle pout formed on your lips

Taehyung: Are you done playing hero now? I'm not gonna wait here all night Jeon.

You cursed softly under your breath as you lowered your head slightly in embarrassment— hesitating for a brief moment before finally giving in and reaching out to hold onto his hand so that he could help you stand up whilst mumbling out softly to no one in particular

Jungkook: Who's really playing hero here...

The two of you let his phone's flashlight light up the path ahead as you slowly began making your way back with an awkward silence surrounding the two of you.

Spikes of throbbing pain radiated from your ankle with every limp-like step you attempted to take in order to follow Taehyung, and you knew you had likely sprained your ankle during your fall earlier on

Taehyung: Just what the fuck were you even doing wandering out here alone at this hour Jeon? If you can't follow the right colored ribbons then stay put... idiot.

An annoyed sigh left your lips as you tried your best to keep up with him, though his walking pace was much faster than yours since the limp slowed you down a lot

Jungkook: Fuck off, just because I can't see colors doesn't mean I need to be watched like some toddler. Can't I go get some damn fresh air? I just wanted to enjoy this scenery one last time since we're leaving tomorrow...

Though your breath audibly hitched in surprise as your limp nearly resulted in yet another fall, however before you completely lost your balance Taehyung swiftly managed to grab ahold of your non-injured arm and waist in order to keep you steady; earning a soft ''Thanks...'' which left your lips as you timidly looked away, internally wishing you could crawl 5 feet under due to the embarrassment

Even though you kept on insisting that you were fine walking on your own, he merely uttered out an irritated ''Shut up and keep walking'' — not letting go of his secure hold around you, which undeniably helped you to avoid putting too much weight onto your injury. Nonetheless, it wasn't long before you began to notice how he had been leading you somewhere astray from the original path you were on

Jungkook: Is this a shortcut, or are you planning on killing me? Just saying, if you're gonna murder me then at least try to not get caught yeah?

This earned a breathy snicker from the older whom once again rolled his eyes at you

Taehyung: Oh shut up dumbass, we may hate each other but I wouldn't waste my time killing you.

Jungkook: Oh how kind of you to spare my life dipshit. So where the fuck are we going then?

As he led you through a path that almost entirely was hidden by hanging tree branches and their leaves, your eyes soon began to widen from astonishment when the both of you finally reached the hidden area he had led you to; the beautiful flowers, hanging trees, and even a small waterfall almost making the place look like some kind of a magical wonderland— especially with how the light from the moon reflected onto the crystal water making it sparkle all prettily.

The two of you silently sat down on the patch of grass close by the water as you excitedly looked around the beautiful nature with a fond gaze, only being able to utter out a soft ''Woah...'' whilst admiring even the smallest details present in your surroundings

Taehyung: I was on my way here to take some pictures when I heard you fall, so be glad I'm humane enough not to leave you there. Just sit tight and don't ruin my pictures Jeon.

You rolled your eyes and snorted softly before uttering out a somewhat sarcastic response

Jungkook: Well I can't exactly fucking run off right now, can I Kim?

He merely shrugged before beginning to snap a couple of pictures from where the two of you were seated, and so you continued to silently admire the natural beauty of the nature in this location; practically looking just as pretty— if not prettier than all those expensive gardens people pay thousands to try to build and maintain, yet here this place existed without the interference of any mankind.

Taehyung: Jeon, look here

Jungkook: No thanks Kim.

Taehyung: That wasn't a question, I said look here Jeon.

A breathy laugh left your lips as you stubbornly kept your gaze focused on the beautiful scenery in front of you

Jungkook: I'm not looking at you dipshit, I'm busy admiring something that's actually pleasant to look at right now.

However, you gasped softly when the older suddenly grabbed ahold of your chin and firmly made you look right up at him— breath hitching in surprise as you sat frozen in place, barely being able to stutter out a confused ''W-what the hell are y-you doing Kim—...''; and even Taehyung seemed to be just as stunned as you were when he looked into your eyes, almost like he was admiring the way the swirl of very faint rainbow colors painted your widened doe eyes

After he snapped out of it, he finally cleared his throat as he guided your gaze back towards the scenery before letting go of your chin, watching how your eyes widened even more in utter astonishment and admiration— not believing the absolutely incredible scenery in front of you, how the hanging trees, grass, flowers, and even water were painted in such stunning colors you never could've imagined existed.

You couldn't help but let out a soft giggle as you gently reached down into the crystal blue water in front of you, admiring what the glistening liquid truly looked like and just how enchanting it all looked.

Jungkook: This is unbelievable... Is this real? It looks magical...

Taehyung: Wanna see something magical? Look at those fireflies over to our right.

He then pointed in their direction, instantly making a smile of admiration tug at your lips as you saw the dancing fireflies lighting up like sparkles to complement the beautiful scenery you were witnessing.

A soft whisper-like "This is the closes to magic we humans could ever get..." was then heard from him, as he continued snapping some pictures while the both of you silently sat there for who knows how long...

- And just momentarily, you forgot all about the promises you had made to yourself.
As the magical sight made you temporarily forget about any and all of your worries.
