M.k x abused reader part 2

The jarring motions of pole vaulting around kept your grip on him tight. It was astounding how that dirty little boy became so powerful.

When your feet finally touched the ground, you tried to let go of him. But your grip was difficult to release.

Meanwhile, M.k beamed happily.

"I don't see her motorcycle anywhere. I think we won!"

Just at that moment Mei raced over and halted her bike right next to you.

"Aw shoot! You two won." Mei smirked amusedly at you both.

Your cheeks burned red at her look. But M.k didn't seem to catch her tease.

He only tilted his head and gave her a confused look.

"You don't seem that upset."

"Well I think we all had fun. That's what matters riiiight, y/n?"

You looked away swiftly as M.k glanced at you.

"Yep! Totally!" You agreed pressing back the urge to blush. "And I'm excited to wreck you at monkey mech."

Mei grinned as she parked her bike.

"Ohoho you're on!"

M.k grinned as you two led the way. Little did you know your father observed from a nearby alleyway.

"Monkie kid, huh? That could be useful." He grinned and walked towards the arcade.

You and Mei went up against each other in Monkey mech, dancing games and much more. M.k taught you his favorite games and you did your best in each of them. You bested him in a few, but not many. Soon the hours slipped away, and before long it was time for you all to go home.

You all stepped out of the arcade laughing and talking. Then you saw your father. Immediately, you froze and flinched hard.

"Y/n?" Mei asked worriedly.

You realized M.k and Mei were both giving you concerned looks. You plastered on a smile and waved.

"Hello father."

Your father walked from the shadows with a grin.

"Y/n, I was just looking for you." His words sounded sweet but you knew all too well the meaning behind them. "It's past your curfew. I was concerned." A quick glance at Mei's wrist watch told you that was a lie. Your father just wanted to vent steam. Perhaps your uncle had won another duel. Or maybe your father was simply feeling mean. There was no way to tell really.

"I-I'm very sorry." You apologized with a bow. "I'll make it up to you."

Your father's smile grew a bit.

"I'm sure you will."

"Uncle Lang it was my fault!" Mei broke in. "I was her ride and I didn't remember her curfew." She excused worriedly.

Your father ruffled her hair playfully and you bit back the surge of envy that spiked in your gut.

"It's alright, Mei. I don't believe she informed you of her curfew, did she?" The words bit at your heart far more than they should have by now.

"Well, no." Mei agreed hesitantly.

"There in lies the issue. A simple communication error. Hardly a matter to be upset over." Your father excused with a pleasant smile at Mei and M.k. "However, I do need to take my daughter from you. We have many things to talk about."

"Oh.. of course." Mei agreed clearly confused as your father placed a hand on your back leading you away.

Once you both were out of earshot your father spoke again.

"Tell me about that boy."

Meanwhile

Mei pulled her bike upright and M.k rubbed the back of his neck.

"Do you think we got her in trouble?"

"Nahhh, he said he wasn't mad." Mei excused with faltering assurance.

M.k glanced back to where your father and you had vanished into the night.

"He said that but...idk something felt..off?"

Mei shrugged.

"Uncle Lang has always been....strict. He looked like he wasn't mad." But Mei held a worried frown.

M.k hummed in thought.

The next day

"M.k focus!" Monkey King chided as his foot collided with M.k's chest.

M.k flew back slamming into a wall. It cracked deeply with his contact. M.k rubbed at his head and reached for his staff only for Monkey King to kneel Infront of him.

"Kid, what's botherin' you? Normally you would have blocked that, easy."

M.k blew out a sigh.

"I just....last night Mei introduced me to someone."

"Ohhhh."

"No! No it's not like that!" M.k shook his head panickedly a blush heating his cheeks.

"Mhm." Monkey King hummed with a smirk.

M.k sighed.

"But that's not...what's bothering me."

Monkey King's smirk vanished.

"Last night Mei, her cousin Y/n, and I went to the arcade. I guess we stayed out past Y/n's curfew? Her dad said he wasn't mad...but." M.k trailed off trying to think of the words.

"Kid, it sounds like you're just feeling a little guilty. Which is good. Guilt keeps you from hurting people." Monkey King offered with a reassuring smile.

"No, it's not that." M.k shook his head. "Something was off about it. She looked so...so..hurt? Scared? I don't know." M.k buried his hands in his hair. "Something was up I just can't put my finger on it."

Monkey King rested a hand on M.k's shoulder.

"Listen to your instincts, bud. If something feels off, just pay attention. You're a smart kid. You'll figure it out." He got to a stand offering M.k his hand. "Now let's finish training so you can go check up on your girlfriend."

"She isn't my girlfriend!" M.k yelped embarassedly as Monkey King chuckled.

You blocked your father's staff as it slammed down. The hit broke open a bruise on your arm. You bit back a cry as you attempted to kick him in the gut.

He caught your leg and threw you into the wall hard enough to make it crack. The impact forced you to grit your teeth.

"You're slow." Your father scoffed resting the staff on his shoulder. "You're tired from breaking curfew."

Another lie. You were weak from the beating you had taken last night. But then he'd never accept blame. An apology wouldn't change anything so, you simply kept quiet. That was the moment Mei entered the dojo.

Immediately you stood straight and hid your bloody arm.

"Ah Mei." Your father addressed pleasantly. "We just finished training."

You wanted to scoff. This hadn't been training. Far from it. But you knew the penalty for speaking up. You only smiled.

"Uncle Lang." Mei smiled politely. "Could I steal Y/n? M.k and I are going to make deliveries for Pigsy's noodles."

Your father nodded.

"All I ask is that you mind curfew."

Mei nodded and jabbed a thumb over her shoulder.

"Meet me outside, Y/n!" Then she dashed from the dojo.

Your father looked at you.

"Gather all the information from that boy that you can. It is important."

"Why?" You frowned in confusion.

"Don't ask stupid questions, Y/n." Your father sighed dismissively. "Now hurry up and leave before I change my mind."

You scampered from the dojo upon that threat. You couldn't disappoint Mei after your father had already agreed.

You hurriedly bandaged up your arm, tugged a loose hoodie over your head, and ran out to meet Mei.

She waved you over and reeved her bike.

Swallowing the nervous jitters, you sat on the back of her bike and gripped around her middle tight. In a moment you were rushing through traffic. A first you wondered how Mei could take the amount of adrenaline that pulsed through your veins, but as you grew more accustomed to the sharp turns and wind whipping your hair you started to understand.

It almost felt like flying in it's own way. And somehow that sounded perfectly tailored to Mei. She was a Dragon after all. All too soon you both arrived at Pigsy's.

M.k was hurriedly loading up a broken down looking car. Mei kicked up the kickstand and walked over removing her helmet.

"Here, M.k. We'll take half of your deliveries."

"Wait wha?!?" M.k gasped as she took some of the bags.

"You've been overworked lately." She excused handing you the deliveries.

You smiled and typed the addresses into your phone and sent your screen to the screen on Mei's motorcycle.

M.k smiled a bit watching you both.

"Wow....thanks guys."

"Of course. You're a hero." You returned with a smile that slowly turned evil. "Besides, thank us when we deliver all of ours before you get even half way done."

"Oh pfft you're on!" M.k shot back as Mei remounted the bike.

You held on tight as the bike took off.

Meanwhile

Your father turned as the man entered.

"Father sent me to ask what you want." The man uttered annoyedly. His red over coat flowing behind him like a king's cape.

Your father grinned.

"Red Son, you've certainly grown since I last saw you."

"I'm not here to chat." Red Son shot back folding his arms.

Your father shrugged nonchalantly.

"As you know, the betrothal will come due in a few weeks-" your father began picking up a piece of paper with your photo on it. He offered Red Son the paper.

Red Son accepted it with a raised brow.

"But unfortunately, your betrothed has wandered some. With one, monkie kid, by name?"

Instantly Red Son's head shot up.

"Monkie kid?!" He growled and stuffed the paper into a chest pocket of his over coat. "I will not be bested by that peasant." He fumed turning to leave.

"No-" Your father chuckled watching Red Son leave. "I don't suppose you would."
