I was 11, on the 22nd of March [almost 2 years ago]! I was listening to Gold by Spandau Ballet. My Aunt was with me at the time and asked if she could put on some songs, as she didn't like that song. I allowed her to and she searched one up, but, as she didn't understand the autoplay, the songs kept coming on. Eventually, 'Daydream Believer' came on. As we sang that at school, I started singing along and checked out who it was by. My first thoughts were: they spelt 'Monkeys wrong, it's with only a 'y' . So even I spelt it wrong. 

Anyway, I watched the video, thought Davy and Peter were cute, Micky annoying and Mike ugly. I also noticed how they weren't  actually playing the instruments. I thought Davy was small when he stood up against the others.

A week or so later, I decided to listen to more of them. I heard 'I'm a Believer' and instantly recognised it from Shrek. I searched them up again and it came up with a 25 minuet video called 'The Monkee's Paw'. It was a bad episode to start on but I loved the jokes, so watched more, and there you have it - I'm now writing Monkees fanfiction. 

By the way, I used to hate Mike's accent and find Micky annoying, but now I LOVE Micky and hardly notice Mike's accent anymore. I also got confused by the season 2 theme [the song I recognised] but I thought Davy was called Peter!!! :D
