(Short and badly written chapter.
THE EDIT UP TOP IS HOT AF BUT IMAGINE HARRY LOOKING LIKE THAT MOST OF THE TIME BECAUSE THE LOOK ACTUALLY FITS HIS PERSONALITY IN THIS STORY REALLY WELL.
I also put a picture of Diane.)
ONE WEEK LATER
"Rauline."
"Rauline."
"Rauline, Rauline, Rauline, Rauline, Rauline, Rauline, Rauline-"
"Shut up ,Harry." I groan.
"Harry? Girl my voice ain't that deep." Diane's voice snaps, making my eyes snap open wide.
I sigh heavily and rub at my sleepy eyes. "Sorry, Diane. Why did you wake me up? I don't have work today."
"Someone's here for you, sorry." She says, giving me a small smile. "He kept telling me it was important and shit and he didn't look like he was leaving anytime soon so I just decided to wake you."
"He? Who's he?" I ask, sitting up now and looking at her curiously. I probably look like a mess with my hair all over the place and I feel some dry drool on the side of my lip, making me cover my mouth with my hand.
"Right sorry, your husba- I mean ex husband, Louis." She tells me, making my heart feel as if it has stopped.
"No." I groan, closing my eyes.
"No?" She questions.
"He was doing so well leaving me the hell alone." I snap as I open my eyes again before getting off of the bed and rushing past Diane. I walk into the living room and my eyes search angrily as I clench my fists. "Where is he?" I ask, looking back at the woman.
"In the kitchen with Harry I think." Diane says, frowning slightly.
I walk into the kitchen to see Louis leaning against the counter, talking to Harry who stands in front of him. Their conversation stops when he looks at me and Harry looks back to look at me as well. He gives me a small smile.
"I'll leave you two alone." He says, walking past me with a pat on the shoulder, making me furrow brows in irritation when he leaves.
I sigh heavily and grab the hair te on my wrist before wrapping my hair up into a loose bun, ready to start hitting him hard with my words. "Louis Tom-"
"Wait." He says.
"No." I snap. "You couldn't be stronger than your disgusting sexual desires for me for a little longer than a week, you fucking bastard?"
"No, Raul-"
"Why can't you leave me alone? Why can't you understand I'll never forgive you? Just go away! Go the fuck away and out of my life!" I exclaim.
"Rauline!" He yells suddenly, making me glare hard at him. I don't say anything. He sighs shakily. "I just came to tell you I have found someone. And she's beautiful and makes me happy. So, I'll leave you alone from this point on." He says.
I part my lips, feeling my heart suddenly drop but feel light at the same time. How am I feeling right now? I can't tell if I'm happy. But I am. I've got to be. He looks into my eyes, seeming to be searching my face, but I cover up my expression with a glare again, not sure what type of emotion I'm giving him.
"What's her name?" I ask.
"Katie." He smiles.
"Where'd you meet her?"
"She works at our company."
I quirk up an eyebrow. "Well that's unprofessional, isn't it? But I'm happy for you." I smile, the words rolling off my tongue with a bitter taste along with it. I furrow my brows in confusion at the feeling.
"Thank you." He nods. "So now your free from all of the yelling and me." He says, flickering his gaze down to the floor.
I nod, biting down on my bottom lip.
"Good." I mumble, leaning my weight against the counter as I cross my arms over my chest.
"Once again, Rauline. I'm sorry." He says.
I silently look at the cieling.
"I'll see you at work, on Monday."
"Okay, bye." I say before he walks past me and out of the kitchen, into the living room again.
I wait until I hear the front door close as well before walking out of the kitchen, seeing Harry and Diane sitting on the couch.
When they look at me, they get up quickly but I shake my head at their reaction. "It's okay. I'm fine." I tell them. "Don't worry about it." I sigh, walking towards the bed room, wanting to take a shower. I get into the comfort of the guest bedroom, closing the door behind me.
I decide to take shower, brush my teeth, change into casual and comfortable clothing, and also fix up my hair a bit.
I don't feel like doing anything today. I just want to stay in this room or go to that coffee house that just opened across the street. It's where people read poetry and drink hot beverages, just like the one I have been seeing Harry perform at, but that's an hour away from here and I am not about that life of wasting gas and taking long ass drives unless it's to my vacation spot.
So I decide to stay in the room until I feel my stomach suddenly growl, making me furrow my brows and sit up quickly, confused. I didn't eat. How could I forget that I didn't eat? I never forget that I didn't put some type of food in my mouth.
I stand up from the bed with a heavy sigh, taking out the earphones I had in before grabbing my phone with me and walking out of the bedroom to come face to face to an empty living room.
I furrow my brows. Where could they have gone?
I shrug my shoulders and walk to the kitchen to attempt to find some food and I end up making a bowl of cheerios with two percent milk. After I grab a spoon and my bowl, I make my way out of the kitchen and into the living room to sit on the couch and watch television. That's when I see my name on a paper in bold letters, making me pick it up quickly.
Hey Rauline. It's Diane. Harry and I went out. We thought you were sleeping or something so we didn't want to wake you. Have a good day boo. :)
I smile at the note silently before putting it back down and picking up the remote to watch a rerun of some sitcom that is entertaining for right now. I'm glad I have people who somewhat care about me in my life.
I watch on the television as the girl, who I do not know the name of, stalks some teenage boy she likes around the school campus. She stalks him for a few days, turning into weeks and I literally begin to question why the hell I am still on this channel because the show is annoying as hell. But she eventually comes to find out he has a girlfriend and gives up on him, since she can't speak to him anyway, making me mutter out a "same".
My phone suddenly begins to ring, making me jump. I pick it up to see its the boss from the company. I furrow my eyebrows, knowing that whatever the hell she is calling for won't be a good thing.
"Hi, Ms.Jane." I say, keeping a calm and patient tone.
"Hello Ms.Paisely. I want you to come into my office as soon as possible please." She says, her voice stern.
"Okay, I'll be right there." I say, forcing a smile to my lips so my voice could sound just as happy.
When I hang up I stand up quickly and change into nicer clothing, fix my hair, and grab my bag and phone before rushing out the door. My heart races as I get into my car before I race down the street to get to the large building I work at.
LATER
I knock on the glass door lightly before taking hold of the cold knob and turning it to walk into the just as chilly office. I look at my boss, sitting at her desk, typing away at her computer.
She looks up at me with cold eyes, making me stop in my tracks with a frown. I smile slightly at the older woman and she stands up stiffly before walking around her desk to stand in front of me. Familiar events, before I left my job as a waitress, flashes through my mind. Is she going to call me fat too? Is she going to potentially fire me because of my damn weight? Which wouldn't make sense, but why has she called me in?
"I just looked at your record reports, Rauline." She says, making my bones rattle. Oh fuck. "It was um...surprising to see." She says, furrowing her brows, still glaring at me.
I bite down on my bottom lip.
"Want to explain?"
"I was young and desperate, m'am. I wasn't in the best financial situation either." I say frantically, shaking my head.
"Charged for shoplifting, five times, Rauline. " The woman says, shaking her head with a smirk. "Do you know how bad I'm going to look for hiring a criminal?" She says, the word criminal taking me aback.
"That's hardly a criminal act , m'am." I snap, raising my eyebrows. "And I was only a teenager. Nothing has happened then. I'm a woman now."
She frowns at me and rolls her eyes.
"Considering your record, the chance of you moving up in this business is low. But you can keep your job." She says.
I sigh shakily and nod my head slowly. "Thank you, m'am."
"Now get out." She snaps, making me flinch.
I turn around quickly and walk out, needing to lean against the wall beside the door and catch my breath. I take a deep breath in then out, closing my eyes for a second.
"Rauline? Hey, are you okay?" I hear his voice, making me snap my eyes open suddenly. He walks in front of me, looking into my eyes curiously.
I harden my features and huff out a breath. "Yeah, I'm fine." I sigh, pushing myself off the wall. "Why are you here?"
"I was called." He smiles at me. "What about you?"
"Me too." I tell him. "I'll see you on Monday." I snap, gripping my bag tighter in my hand and walking away from him quickly.
I suddenly feel something tickling my cheek, making me reach up and touch the warm tear on my hot skin. Why the fuck am I crying?
I wipe it away quickly and suck another breath in before releasing it again and head back to Harry and Diane's condo to sleep the pain and thoughts away again.
