.Mr brightside.

Me and Marah sit for at least five minutes after Hazel has left, before Diego starts to wake up again.

He groans, alerting us of his presence. He grunts as he stands up, grabbing his head.

"Shit." he grumbles, as he gets re-orientated with his surroundings.

I sigh, turning away from Marah's sleeping form and look at my brother.

"Good, you're up." I say, lowering my voice so I don't wake Rosie up. "Ready, for a drink now?"

"Where is he?" Diego asks loudly, causing Rosie to stir slightly but eventually she goes back to sleep. I glare at Diego, causing him to take a step back and look towards his sleeping sister.

"I let him go." I say calmly, knowing he won't yell again.

"You what?" Diego yells quietly, not wanting to disturb Marah again, knowing how she is when she gets awoken from her naps.

"Now that the apocalypse is over, it's time for the fighting to stop." I state, leaning back to help with the soreness of them. With me moving, Marah stirs slightly. She moves her head to my lap then, getting comfortable and then falling back to sleep. I stare at her creepily for a few seconds before I run my fingers through her hair. Looking back up at our brother, I continue. "Hey, he didn't kill Patch. His partner Cha-Cha did."

"So what?" questions Diego, watching Marah as she sleeps. "They were both there that night."

"Well, this half of the partnership gave me both of their guns." I motion towards the guns sitting next to me, with one hand as the other massages Marah's head. "Which will clear you because the ballistics will match Patch's crime scene. Hazel came here looking for a way out. He wanted a fresh start. And he happened to have in his possession the one thing that could do our family a little good."

"So it's time to move on." the scratchy voice of Marah says, her eyes closed with a small smile on her face.

"Not a chance." grumbles Diego.

"Suit yourself." I sigh. I pick up Marah bridal style, knowing she doesn't wanna walk. I walk past Diego with Marah in my arms and go to leave before I stop myself.

"Your girlfriend, Patch." I start, looking at Marah before turning my attention to Diego to finish my sentence. "What did you like about her?"

"A lot of things. Cute butt, nice legs." Diego mutters, causing me to send him a bored look.

"Anything a little more profound than that?" I ask, looking down to Marah, to see her smiling knowing she can hear the conversation.

"She believed in people." mutters Diego quietly. "No matter how much shit and filth she saw on the streets. She always saw the good inside."

"Well, I'm sure she'll be proud to know that you're killing Hazel and Cha-Cha as a way to honor her memory." Marah says, looking up into my eyes and glancing at our brother as she finishes her statement.

I sigh, and walk up the stairs towards Marah's room, where I lay her on the bed and take off my blazer, tie, and shoes before getting in behind her.

"Giving me a little show, aren't you now?" Marah mocks, smirking at me.

"You can always give me a show to repay me." I reply, smirking right back at her.

"Perv." she mutters, laughing at the expression on my face.

Marah gets out of her bed and goes to change. She grabs a pair of men's boxers and an oversized shirt and a bralette.

As she goes into the bathroom, I stare at her ceiling waiting for her to come back out. I sit up as I hear the door open. I look up to see her walking towards me and her bed again.

She lays down on my chest and we lay there in silence for several minutes before she speaks up again. "You should change to. I don't think that uniform is that comfortable to sleep in."

I sigh, sitting up, knowing she's right. I blink into my room across the hall and grab out one of my matching light blue night pajamas and change quickly before walking back into Marah's room.

I see her pouting as I walk back in.

"What's wrong, love?" I ask, letting the pet name slip so I can see her blush.

"You put a shirt on." she states, causing me to blush.

"Oh, yeah." I grin, causing her to nod. "Well, I guess I have to take it off. Can't disappoint you now, can I?"

I start to unbutton the shirt, when the house starts to shake. I abandon taking off the night shirt before I climb over top of Marah to make sure nothing falls on top of her. A few seconds later it stops again.

I stay on top of Marah for a few more minutes till I know it's safe and continue taking off my night shirt as I look at her.

Marah has a slight frown on her face, causing my brows to furrow.

I throw my shirt off and slip in behind her, pulling her to my now naked chest. "What's wrong, my love?" I ask, kissing the crown of her head.

"Nothing. Just Vanya." she answers, snuggling deeper into my chest.

I sigh, pulling her closer. "I know. But we'll find her."

Marah shakes her head, and pulls back from me a bit, causing a whine to slip past my lips. She giggles a little causing me to glare a little at her which only makes her giggle more.

"No, I mean, obviously I'm worried about finding her. But it's not for the same reasons as the rest of you." Marah mumbles out, not looking me in the eyes.

"Rosie, what happened in the cabin, before we got there?" I ask her, having wanted to know for some time now.

Marah looks down and starts playing with my hand as she answers. "When me and Allison got to the cabin, we found the trees swaying and everything and Vanya playing the violin. We started talking and then it soon turned to arguing when Allison and I remembered something from when we were 4.

"We explained to Vanya how we were too young to know what we were doing, but she wouldn't listen. The wind was picking up then. Vanya explained how she had powers and so knowing that, me and Ally were a little on edge." Marah continues. I look down to see a tear escape her eye, I use my hand that she isn't holding to use the pad of my thumb to remove the tear. "Allison went to rumor her, we were just trying to calm her down. I was going to put up a ring of fire so she couldn't hurt anyone or herself."

She takes a deep breath before continuing, more tears falling from her eyes. "Vanya grabbed her violin bow suddenly and slashed the air, causing a cut to come across Allison's throat. She then turned to me and threw me out the window, knocking the wind out of me. But when I went flying, I panicked and accidentally set the cabin on fire."

I rub her back to help her calm down. She let's some more tears out before she continues. "I tried to get up, but I couldn't. I... I couldn't bre...breath. She knocked the wind out of me. Wh... when I tried to stand up, I... I couldn't. So, instead I tried crawling. That's when Harold walked out with a sobbing Vanya. He saw me and shot me. He then drove off and I lost consciousness soon after."

She finishes her story, and we lay there. She starts to calm down, having used a lot of her energy when crying. Soon her breathing evens out, alerting me that she's now asleep. I look down to see her clinging to my chest, eyes closed, and even breathing. I kiss the crown of her head, before willing myself to sleep.
