.Don't look.

We arrive at Harold Jenkins house. I help Rosie out of the car and towards the house, as Diego and Klaus walk in front.

We make it to the door which is already open. Diego brings out one of his knives as Marah moves her hands, ready to fight if need be.

We walk into the house and look around the entrance, when we walk towards the living room we notice the body of Harold Jenkins and the knives and other kitchen and house hold utensils. I have to look away from how gruesome the death is, though I'm used to much more from the commission, it's been a while since I've seen it.

"It's not exactly what I was expecting." says Diego, breaking the silence we had created when we found the mutilated body.

"The understatement of the year." says Marah, who's leaning on me still trying to hold herself up after getting shot.

"No sign of Vanya." mentions Klaus.

"Let's get out of here, before the cops come." says Diego, not wanting to be thrown back into jail.

"In a minute." I say. I set Marah down on the ground so that she doesn't need to lean against the wall as I walk over to Harold and pull out the eyeball that I've been carrying with me for decades.

"Come on, Five, what are you.." I hear Diego say, before being cut off by Klaus.

"Ugh, wow." mutters Klaus, not liking the sight of the glass eye in the eye socket of Harold.

"Same eye color, same pupil size. Guys this is it." I say excitedly, but with some concern. "The eye I've been carrying around for decades, It... It's found it's rightful home."

"Only you would be excited by something as morbid and gross as this." I hear Marah say, from her spot on the floor.

"We got the guy we needed to kill to stop the apocalypse." I say, ignoring what Marah said about me.

"Yay! Let's go." Klaus exclaims going to pick up my Marah, grabbing her clumsily causing her to hiss and fall back to the floor.

"Asshole." grumbles Marah.

"No, no. Wait, wait. It can't be this easy." I say, grabbing the eye back out of the now empty eye socket. "Look, this is the note I got from the commission. The one that says, 'Protect Harold Jenkins,' aka Leonard Peabody."

"Yeah?" questions Klaus, not understanding what I'm getting at. 'We should have left him at home like he asked.' I think as I walk over to Marah, helping her up gently.

"But who killed him? Who did this?" I ask, holding Marah to my chest so she doesn't fall over again.

"I have a crazy idea." says Klaus.

"All your ideas are crazy." states Marah, making all of us smile as she smirks at Klaus.

"As I was saying, crazy, but why don't we find Vanya... and ask her what happened?" suggests Klaus.

'This is why we brought him.' I think to myself as I look down towards Marah, catching her eyes.

"If Vanya got away from this asshole she might be headed back to the academy." states Diego, wanting to leave as soon as possible.

I hold on to Marah tightly as I blink us out of there and back to the academy. We walk up to her room so she can get more rest and so that I can figure out if the apocalypse is really stopped.

We walk up the stairs to my room so I can lay down some more. Having been standing for too long after waking up from almost dying by a gun shot wound.

'I should've listened to Five and slept while he went to find Jenkins.' I think as we near my room.

We enter my room and I head towards my bed, taking off my shoes and laying down. Before I fall asleep, I grab Five's hand causing him to look down towards me.

"Hey, Five?" I ask. He hums to me acknowledging my question.

"Did you mean what you said to me while I was in the first aid room?" I ask shyly, not knowing if I really want an answer.

"What do you mean?" he asks, not looking me in the eyes and just rubbing his thumb in circles on top of my hand.

"You know, when you said and I quote," I start, getting a small laugh out of him. "emotions are never black and white; they're more like symptoms. I lose my breath every time you enter a room, my heart beats faster when you walk by, my skin tingles when you stand close enough to feel your breath. Did you mean that?"

"You know that I always mean what I say, whether it's mean or not Rosie." Five mutters, still not looking me in the eyes.

"You wanna know a secret?" I whisper, eyes closing as I slowly slip out of consciousness.

"What Rosie?" Five replies, equally quiet.

"I used to think that if I just follow the rules, every things going to be fine, and then you came along and pushed me off that path." I say, though I doubt he can even hear what I have to say with how quiet I'm speaking.

"Well, I hope you do mean that. Just as much as I mean what I said." Five whispers.

I nod my head slowly. I feel his hand slip out of my grasp and a kiss to my forehead. Just before he can leave the room, I grab his hand again.

"Yes, Rosie?" Five whispers.

"Stay with me?" I ask, more than command, like normal. "Just until I fall asleep, I don't wanna be alone."

"Always, Rosie." Five mumbles. I hear him walk closer to the bed and slip into the small child's bed, laying down beside me.

I lay down, with my head on his chest as he strokes his hand through my hair.

"You wanna know a secret?" Five asks quietly.

I hum my response, not being able to respond properly.

"I used to imagine this happening, just so I could have one night of bliss in the apocalypse. I guess all of that pretending worked out in the end, as I now get to have this." He whispers.
