The next three months passed in a blur of exams, practice sessions with Rose, and cooking. We graduated with flying colors, so we were on our way to L.A. again to see our friends. We boarded our plane from Birmingham to L.A. and listened to our music for a few hours until we landed in California. At LAX, we didn't have to walk far before we saw our family and friends waiting for us. Pete walked up to us and asked, "How was your flight?"

I laughed lightly and replied, "Long and boring."

"That about sums up every flight ever." Brendon laughed, running his hand through his hair.

Sierra asked, "Can we get food now? It's nine o'clock and I haven't eaten yet."

We laughed, and decided to go eat breakfast at a local cafe before we headed to Brendon's place where apparently Sarah had something planned. I ordered a chocolate chip muffin and a coffee since I'd eaten before I boarded the plane. I sat down at a booth and waited while everyone else ordered their food. When everyone was seated, Brendon asked me what I'd been up to.

"I've been doing school work, I graduated, and I've written some songs."

At this, Pete looked up from his coffee and said, "Oh?"

"Yeah. I am really proud of one called 'The World Is Insane.'"

"Awesome name. It reminds me of 'From Under The Cork Tree' and 'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.'" Sammy said, taking a sip of his caramel macchiato.

"Thanks! Um, what have you guys been up to?" I asked curiously.

"Um, song writing and some r&r mostly." Brendon casually remarked.

"Cool. Any ideas so far?" Sierra asked.

"Yeah, actually. I'm working on these two called 'Hallelujah' and 'Death of a Bachelor'." he grinned.

"Awesome!" Rose and I said in unison.

Pete started gathering trash, napkins, and other small things off of the table saying, "We have to get going guys before Sarah sends search parties."

We all laughed and headed towards the cars. It was good to be back.
