Time TO Say Goodbye

I woke up the next morning around 5:45 and decided to make breakfast. I went to the pantry and grabbed the ingredients I needed. After doing this, I mixed them together, heated a pan, and started chopping fruit. I was almost done with breakfast when Ro, Sierra, Bianca and Rose came clambering down the stairs, wiping the sleep from their eyes. Rose decided to help out a bit and make a pot of coffee. While the coffee was brewing and I was finishing up, the girls went and got dressed. When the coffee machine dinged, Grace, Sammy, and Jane walked in from the living room, where they had camped out in their sleeping bags last night. "Whatcha cooking?" Sammy asked me, pouring himself a cup of coffee.

"Cinnamon roll pancakes and fruit salad." I replied, flipping the pancake on my pan.

"Ro's made them from time to time, but she won't tell us the recipe." Sammy pouted.

"Sorry," I fake pouted, "I have the recipe memorized, so here you go. Just don't tell Ro." I said, raising my index finger to my lips.

"Don't tell Ro what?" Ro called from the stairs.

"Nothing! Don't worry." I called back.

"If you say so..." she said, waving her hand.

As I helped set the table, my phone started ringing with a 'Famous Last Words' ringtone, and I immediately knew who it was. "Hello, M." I answered. MieKayla was a friend of mine from Birmingham, but she moved to L.A. to go to art school. We still Skyped and called each other, but because California is two hours behind Alabama, we mainly talked to each other on the weekends when we could. "How've you been?"

"I've been good. What have you been up to?" she asked.

"I've got a band, and there's a show in L.A. tonight."

"Why didn't you tell me about your band?" MieKayla asked excitedly.

"Well, the band only got together about a week and a half ago, and we've been very busy. You'll never guess who we're opening for tonight!"

"Who?"

"Panic! At The Disco." I said, matching MieKayla's excitement.

"No way!" she practically screamed in my ear.

"Way....Gerard Way." I smirked.

"You did not just...You just did that." she laughed.

"I did. I literally ran into him a few days ago at a hotel. I made a fool of myself too, but he was really nice about it." I said.

"Lucky! I really hope I can come tonight...I think I already bought a ticket for a concert tonight..." MieKayla said.

"That's cool. It's probably the show I'm gonna be at anyways. Hey, I've gotta go so I can eat, but I will talk to you later, 'kay?"

"Kay." I hung up my phone and started eating my food.

"These are really good, Lisa. You're really talented." Sammy said, grabbing a second helping of pancakes.

"Thanks. It's nothing, really. I learned from the best." I said, gesturing towards Ro.

We finished our breakfast and finished getting ready to face the day ahead of us. I was wearing a white t-shirt, a black vest-like corset with off-white pinstripes, black skinny jeans, and red Converses. I applied a light lip stain, light brown eye shadow, and some black eyeliner. I was ready for the day.

We decided to go rollerskating for a bit, and I did surprisingly well, considering that I hadn't skated in over a year. After skating, we got ice cream and headed back to Ro's house to meet up with Panic!. I didn't want to do much after skating, so we just ended up watching The Fellowship Of The Ring. We still had about three hours until we had to leave for the concert, so we watched The Nightmare Before Christmas. When it was time to leave, we all piled in the Panic! bus, and headed towards the theatre where we would be performing.

When we got there, I saw MieKayla standing in line waiting to get inside. When she saw me, she immediately waved me over. "Hey! I can't wait to see you perform! What is your band's name anyways?" she asked.

"'Sweet Morbidity' I've got to go set up, but we'll definitely talk later." I said, giving her a quick hug.

Once we'd set up, we were ready to start. "Hello, Los Angeles!" I screamed into the mic. The crowd cheered back in response. "We're 'Sweet Morbidity' and we'd like to dedicate this performance to our families who told us to never give up, to Panic! At The Disco for taking us with them on this amazing tour, to Fall Out Boy who offered us a contract, and to all of you for supporting us every step of the way." We started playing 'About Time' and ended with 'On The Edge Of Oblivion' . "Thank you guys for being such a great audience, and we'll swee you all again in three months. We'll see you later. So long and goodnight." We walked off stage, and Panic! walked on.

I was definitely going to miss this. Backstage, I walked to a vending machine to get a water, and when I turned around, I ran into someone. "I'm so sorry." I quickly said. "No problem." the person said. I looked up to see Gerard Way standing there. "Lisa, right?"

"Yeah. I am probably the biggest klutz on the planet." I said, mentally face-palming myself.

"No worries." he said. "I really enjoyed your set. The emotion behind your songs was evident, and I think that was one of the most impressive parts of the set."

"Thanks. I really appreciate that. A lot of my music was written about my brother, so it's kind of dark...I'm glad you enjoyed it, though. I can't wait until I can come back."

"Come back?" he asked.

"Yeah. I head back to Alabama in a few hours, but I'll be back in three months after I finish school." I said.

"Oh. Well, I definitely think you guys have a future in the music business."

"Thanks. Well, I've got to go before the girls send out a search party..." I laughed.

"Okay."

With that, I headed back to the wings to watch the rest of Panic!'s set. After them, Gerard Way played a few songs from Hesitant Alien, and then Fall Out Boy performed. When Fall Out Boy came off stage, Brendon talked with Pete for about five minutes before he turned to me and said, "Are you ready to go?"

"Get me out of my mind," I replied, "Yeah, I guess so."

And with that, we went back to the bus and started towards Alabama.
