2~ Routine
Waking up to three lumps around my bed, I tiredly rub my eyes preparing to greet my little troublemakers.
My boys suffer with separation anxiety, so they usually end up sleeping with me.
As expected, I see my first son Faust, balled up on my chest sucking his thumb. I still seem to never get rid of that habit of his.
I feel movement on my left, so I turn to see my second son lying on his tummy with his black curls ruffled everywhere. Maddox had beautiful hair that I sometimes get jealous of.
I look to the right knowing my final son is there. Chuckling as soon as I realize Kaiser is perched up with his little bottom in the air. He was always the one who slept like a crazy animal.
Checking my phone to see it's time to start getting ready for work, I gently shake Faust so I can sit up. Watching as his light green eyes open wide, he sits up and looks at me.
"Momma", He says, already energized for the day. I swear this kid is never tired.
"Hey baby, it's time to get ready for mommy and get some food in that little tummy of yours."
He giggles and jumps up on top of Maddox. I know, I should be scolding him, but the boys are so tough every time I check to see if somebody's hurt they are perfectly fine.
Maddox groans in annoyance and tries to push Faust off him. They wrestle for a second before I interfere and pick them both up and plopping them on the rug. I make my way to Kaiser and pat down his hair. He wakes up and makes grabby hands to me. He's always been the most attached to me but makes sure no one notices in public.
Picking him up and holding Maddox's hand while Faust holds my leg. We travel downstairs to prepare breakfast. The boys like to help me sometimes but Maddox his my main little chief. He loves to bake with me. Not to brag, but my sons cooking is better than probably any other 4 year-old. Which I'm thankful for because I am definitely not a cook.
Kaiser and Faust decided not to help in the kitchen today. Instead they pulled out their toys in the Livingroom and play. Thank god for my open concept home, so I can see them perfectly fine from here. Well, I did kind of design the entire home but still, I'm thankful for my smart thinking.
Finishing the French toast, I called the boys in to eat. I added some oranges slices to their plates and some gummy vitamins. One of my top priorities is to keep my kids healthy as possible.
None of my boys have serious issues but Faust does have ADHD, Kaiser having slight selective mutism, and Maddox having super fast metabolism. I make sure all of them eat three meals a day and some small snacks but Maddox really can't miss a meal with becoming tired. Which is kind of ironic because he loves food.
"Momma are we seeing Uncle Caleb today?", Kaiser says breaking me out of my thoughts.
"Yes sweetheart, Uncle Caleb will come visit us when Mommy is in her meeting today."
Caleb is my best friend from when I first started college. He's absolutely chaotic but serious for work. You see I hired his crazy ass when I built my company because he majored in real estate. I needed him to get some properties for me and other clients. The boys love him the death.
I mean I can see why, he is a fucking man child.
I trust him though with my kids. I still haven't had problems with him watching them when I'm busy at work. I mean there's been stories but that's for another time.
The kids finish eating, so I go upstairs and pick out their outfits as well as mine. I'm a sucker for suits. I don't know if it's the power I feel when wearing them or the simplicity of it, I just can't stopping wearing them. I do own sweaters and some dresses but being single and a mother, suits are the way to go.
I brush my straight brown hair while checking my phone for the time.
Great, 30 minutes till we need to leave.
"Boys! Are you ready to go! Momma needs to drive to work!"
"Yes Momma!", All three of them yell.
I've made sure my boys don't rely on me to do everything for them. So the Morning routine is faster and gives me time to get myself ready. Plus, the boys are always helping each other out.
Once I packed their backpacks with lunch and some toys to entertain them with, we all head into the car. I put them in their car seats and buckle them up. I love my cars, but I rarely get to use my faster ones. Right now I'm driving an all black BMW to work.
Parking in the garage of my building, I get the kids out and reach the elevator. Kaiser starts to jump up and down. "Kaiser Viotto, I advise you to stop jumping in this elevator or Uncle Caleb will not be visiting you three today." As soon as I mention Caleb, he stops immediately.
We reach my office and was greeted by my receptionist Freya. She's a nice girl in her early twenties. Not that much younger than my 26 year-old self.
I open my office door and put the boys stuff on the couch. All of them sit nicely on the fuzzy rug and pull out their dolls and Legos to play with in the meantime.
I sit on the desk ready to go through my emails. When all the sudden Caleb barges in with some files. The boys yell and hug Caleb so tightly I can see his face start to turn blue.
"Alright kiddos, I know I'm the best uncle ever, but I need to breathe." Caleb breathlessly lets out.
Letting him go, they start asking him questions about all sorts of things.
"Sweethearts, calm down a second. You have all day to ask any question you want to Caleb, but right now Mommy has to read some files he has brought over."
"Yes Momma."
"Thank you babies."
I sigh turning to face Caleb. "What ya got me for today?" I ask. "Well it's actually some really good news, the Sharpe Company needs a new renovation and would like to hire us to do the job."
The Sharpe's are known for owning hotels and fancy high end restaurants. All I know is the family has a reputation to be intimidating. But that's just some rumors I suppose, no one really scares me to submission. From my attitude to my lovely suits, I come of a bit scary myself.
"Okay, let them know I would love to do business with them and see if can come visit to see the layout of the place."
"Okie Dokie Nat, I'll see you when your meeting starts. Bye buddies!"
I check my computer for any other emails from other clients. Nope, Just the Sharpe's on my new schedule.
We will see if these rumors are true...
