"The promise of spring's arrival is enough to get anyone through the bitter winter!"

Soft footsteps on the stone path echoed into the quiet atmosphere. The tall shape strolled along peacefully, a curious expression on his face as he looked at the beautiful monastery gardens.
Zane was a very poetic person. His speech was very proper and he was able to advise those who needed it. But for some reason, he couldn't quite understand the world's obsession with spring.
The colours were pretty but it was wet and damp out, the once cool crisp air he knew and loved gone. For some reason the rest of his teammates seemed to recharge when spring came, large smiles upon their faces and excitement for the incoming season.
Zane frowned as he moved the hanging branches of the weeping willow aside and stepped onto the little bridge that was built over the stream. The cherry blossom trees were starting to wake from the long winter, tiny little green buds forming on their branches.
It was quite nice, Zane concluded, but he missed the soft crunch of snow beneath his boots. The icicles would glitter in the sunlight and everything was frozen in a daydream.
"What are you doing out here?" The nindroid blinked and turned to see his girlfriend walking slowly towards him. He smiled at her and wrapped an arm around her waist when she came beside him.
"I'm contemplating the importance of spring," Zane informed her.
Pixal gave him an amused look as she looked out over the water. "Perhaps it is what it represents. Regrowing after a long season of coldness and struggle."
"I suppose you may be correct." Zane hummed, stepping behind her so he could rest his chin on her shoulder. "I feel I can regrow any season."
Zane glanced at her slyly before adding, "Especially when I have you."
Pixal smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek before stepping away. "Don't stay out here too long." She told him. "The team is gathering for a meal soon."
Zane nodded and watched her go fondly. When her shape disappeared around the corner, he looked back towards the pleasant view over the river.
"Spring is nice." Zane sighed serenely. Then he straightened and began he walk back towards the monastery building.
