- chapter 4 -
Jisung had met Minho in college. Their first meeting was actually pure coincidence and a mishap by Jisung when he rushed into the wrong building in the dark of the morning and almost ran him over.
But it was nothing, at first at least.
Because they didn't see each other again for a while after that. They took different majors and didn't see each other in any lectures. It was only when Bangchan organized a party that they met again.
Jisung liked how he saw the world and things, and how he saw him. At their third meeting, at a party hosted by a mutual friend, Hyunjin had even been there - getting to know the orange-haired in brief. So Minho knew that Jisung had a boyfriend and he never wanted more than friendship - at least Jisung said so.
By now they were sitting on the couch, Hyunjin leaning against Felix, unable to look the younger one in the eye as he continued to talk. The second bottle of genshu kept him speaking otherwise he would've broken down by now.
At this meeting, Jisung and Minho had eventually exchanged numbers and later, while chatting, realized that they often didn't have a lecture at the same time, while everyone else was busy. So they met during these breaks, had lunch together, also increasingly in their different groups of friends, or drank coffee on the way home.
And at some point, Jisung realized how attracted he was to the older man and how more and more his love, interest and affection fluctuated from Hyunjin to Minho.
Jisung had burst into tears just like Hyunjin. Because he himself did not know why. Why all this. Why he suddenly felt differently. Why Minho, of all people. He had then blamed himself, that he should never have met Minho.
They hadn't kissed or done anything else like that, Hyunjin wasn't even sure if Jisung had confessed his feelings to Minho or not.
But that didn't matter anymore. Because between them it was over.
"I'm really sorry," Jisung had sobbed at the end, "I still love you, but I love Minho more."
"What a fucked up shit...", Felix muttered raspily after Hyunjin finished the story letting the remaining drops of Genshu run down his throat and sinking back into the cushion of the couch.
Hyunjin just nodded somberly - after all, everything had been said. Felix felt him rest his head on his shoulder again and, lost in thought, he stroked his open hair until a little later he could only hear deep breaths from Hyunjin.
"Fuck-," Felix panted heavily as the half-asleep blond dragged himself into his room, finally dropping him groaning onto the mattress. "That brings back memories from high-school," he mumbled without expecting a response - though it was mostly Hyunjin who had to drag him back home that time. Thinking of the old days - before Jisung had transferred to their school in the last school year - he inevitably had to smile.
He pulled the blanket out from under Hyunjin and then threw it over him when he saw something light up next to his pillow. He unceremoniously sat down on the edge of the bed as he found the source of the previous music. Hyunjin had been running - until the Jbl ran out of power - a "Heartbroken at 3 am" playlist. Sighing at that, he turned off the phone and put the stuff on the nightstand. However, as he was about to get up to leave, a hand wrapped tightly around his wrist and stopped him.
"Don't leave me alone.," Hyunjin mumbled softly into his pillow. And Felix knew that the blond-haired wasn't actually talking to him right now, that this request was actually directed at Jisung, that he was longing for someone completely different.
But Felix was also drunk and the alcohol made him weak. Too weak to resist the desire that urged him to simply lie down next to the older in the soft sheets. Thinking about it, he let his gaze roam over Hyunjin, who was already as good as asleep.
"Okay.", Felix whispered more to himself. It was late, after all, and he would have to go all the way back to the college dorm if he left now, he thought, a bit dazed. Exactly, he was much too tired for that, he formed an excuse for himself in his thoughts. And gave in to this strange subliminal urge, which had been haunting him for far too long.
Hyunjin's fingers loosened enough for Felix to release his grip and he walked to the other side of the bed. Still hesitating, he lay down, because he could leave now, Hyunjin no longer held him. But he put the blanket over himself as well and turned his back to the other. Yawning, he closed his eyes and a little later sleep overtook him.
Only at some point, in the middle of the night, did the Australian wake up again. He was hot and felt somehow oppressed, unsuccessfully trying to free himself from the tight warmth. It took a few more seconds until Felix sleepily realized that it was Hyunjin who had practically wrapped himself around him.
Again Felix tried to wiggle out of the tight embrace, but actually he felt much too tired and despite the warmth too comfortable to actually make an effort. Besides, he didn't want to wake the other. He would probably need every minute of sleep in the next while. Before the silver-haired realized it, he fell asleep again.
