- chapter 20 -
His stomach cramped as he thought about it more thoroughly.
But he ignored it and continued to style his hair with hair wax. What was he even thinking about? He was not bound to Hyunjin or anything.
It was late Friday night and Felix was grinding his body against someone else's on the crowded dance floor of a nightclub - in the semi-darkness of the colored lights. With a not insignificant alcohol level, he shamelessly swung his hips to the beat of the music and sang along to snatches of lyrics of songs he knew.
His thoughts were slightly cloudy and he felt a certain freedom and lightness wash over his body like a wave, as he surrendered completely to the rhythm of the music.
But a sneaky thought of Hyunjin still managed to steal through his haze of thought.
His mind wanted to fool him for a few, brief seconds into an illusion in which Hyunjin was standing behind him instead of the stranger - smoothly placing his hands on his hips and now slowly sliding them lower. That the warm breath on his neck, was from the blond-haired, as it slid over his full lips and-
Felix demonstratively shook his head to shake off the annoying thoughts. He took a big sip of the cocktail from the plastic cup in his hand and tried to lose himself back into the music.
He didn't need any daydreams of Hyunjin, the man behind him wasn't too bad after all - he was muscular, tall, and quite handsome. He leaned his head back against the stranger's shoulder, closing his eyes contentedly.
Only to be pulled roughly from the man's grasp a second later.
"What the-" he couldn't finish the sentence as his breath hitched.
Standing before him was Hyunjin.
The Hwang Hyunjin in one of Seoul's crowded nightclubs with cheap alcohol, who usually went at most to high-end clubs with lounges, where he would not even dare to guess the prices.
"What the hell are you doing here?!" the blond snapped at him - the music was loud but still Felix could understand him clearly.
"Me? What about you, then?" he asked back, dumbfounded. Hyunjin seemed more upset to see the smaller one here than Felix was surprised to find him in such a club.
"Jisung wanted to come here with us."
The silver-haired felt his heart drop, and he knew exactly why this time - his facial expression, which had been astonished until now, gave way to his scowling emotions.
He'd asked Hyunjin to go clubbing with him several times, but he'd always refused. Said his father would kill him if he caught him in such a club and if not him, then at the latest the press.
But still, he came here with Jisung.
His stomach was twisting and turning, it was as if it was knotting up and vaguely he could say that he was doing that quite often lately - way too often.
"Oh, really? - good for you. Now, can you let me go?"
"No."
Felix clicked his tongue in annoyance and frowned as he tried to shake his hand off. But Hyunjin's grip was firm around his wrist - tight and unyielding. "What the fuck is this, Hyunjin?", he hissed, "Let go of me and get back to Jisung!"
"Hey baby, is this guy bothering you?" The man from earlier - who Felix had actually forgotten for a moment - wrapped an arm around his waist again, letting his hand rest low on his hip.
But before he could have answered-
