               What is love?

               Is it the butterflies that dance in your stomach when they enter the room? Is it the sweat that drenches your palms when they smile at you? Is it the way your mind finds peace at the sound of their voice? Is it the way you think of them incessantly, unable to steer your thoughts away? Is it the warmth that spreads through your chest when they look your way, making you feel alive in a world otherwise mundane?

               Is love an imaginary myth spun by dreamers? A myth that builds up expectations only to be shattered the moment you grow up and realize everything they told you was a beautiful lie? Was it ever real, or just a cruel trick of the heart, an illusion that fades with the light of day? Is love the fairy tale we were told as children, a distant star we reach for but never touch?

               Love is something Marigold Fisher would never wish upon anyone. The tears in your eyes as you watch from afar, unable to touch or kiss them. The swell of your heart bursting as their gaze falls on someone else, while your heart aches for them. The pain, like a knife in your back, as you watch them fall for someone else. The agony of seeing your dreams crumble, the torment of unspoken words, the despair of a heart unfulfilled.

I love her. She loves me.
