venti jolted awake, waking up xiao in his shock. as he sat up, the other sighed. "back to normal?"

as he took in that he was infact at home, he nodded, laying back down as his boyfriend pulled him closer.

"that was a wild fucking ride."

"i'm sorry."

"sorry? i had fun with past you, and although it was scary as fuck to think you'd die fighting the abyss, i'm back now. nowww, how long was i gone?"

"around two weeks, maybe three. don't worry, mondstadt is fine."

"it better be."

xiao chuckled, as venti yawned. "this is tiring, getting back to our time."

moments later, after they had fully woken up, there was a set of loud, harsh knocks on their front door.

xiao went to answer it as venti watched from the kitchen, where he had raided their fridge and gotten a juice box.

lumine waved as xiao sighed. "yes?"

"so you know how i'm all knowing, right?"

"get on with it."

"you had asked me to explain what had happened in the past timeline, the reason why venti goes back into the past, in the first timeline it occured in."

"i, had?"

"yes. would you like me to start from the beginning?"

"beginning?"

"the day you made a decision to meet venti again."

"alright."

"venti get over here, i'm telling you as well!"

once the three were settled on the couple's couch, lumine began.

"xiao had been listening to one of venti's songs, as zhongli had come up to see if he'd like to head to the store with him."

"more detail, please?"

"fine, venti."
