"I've known Ace for..." Kyo tries to count the years inside her head while Law watches, her fingers instinctively springing up with each number before her eyes lighten with certainty. "Three years now, almost four."

"Hmph..." It looks as though Law's intrigue has been piqued, his eyes staring dead ahead and burning into the redhead's gaze as he frowns to himself, finally asking the question that keeps waving around in the back of his mind, ever since he saw the two conversing beside the neon signs earlier. "Is he your boyfriend?"

What a curious question.

"You mean to ask if I am dating him, yes? If so, then absolutely not." Her voice calm and confident but that isn't what convinces him, it's her expression above all else, if she liked the guy romantically then surely she would have blushed or smiled at the mere suggestion of dating him, or at the very least looked flattered.

But no, she looks indifferent, mildly disgusted if anything. 

"Is that right?" Law's question only earning him a pointed look, a smirk slowly spreading across the girl's face as a flicker of realization flashes in her eyes, the look being enough to tug on the doctor's heartstrings.

He isn't sure how she would take being asked such a thing in hindsight. 

"That was two questions." She calmly notes, actually managing to catch him off guard, he had expected her to accuse him of jealousy something else entirely ridiculous but it would seem he was mistaken. "It's only fair that you answer two of mine now, yes?"

She's definitely odd compared to others he has met, even her speech pattern stumps him a little, but in a way it almost draws him in.

What a strange woman.

"Ask away..." 

"First; are you here to look after your cousin?" She doesn't miss how he frowns at the repetition of that query, her eyes trailing off past his head as she continues. "And second; are you aware that she's currently heckling Eustass Kid?" 

Law's eyes now following her gaze as he glances over his shoulder, watching as the brunette prods the brute's chest, seemingly sassing him for some reason or another, although Kid doesn't seem too bothered by it judging by the wide grin etched into his features. 

The raven merely releasing a low and disapproving growl as he witnesses the sight, merely observing as his drunken cousin takes a run and jump into the pool fully-clothed, it would seem Eustass was challenging her to a dare. 

The girl seems able to swim though, urging Law to turn back toward his party-companion with a deep frown etched into his features. "Your roommate is an idiot."

The poor man doesn't receive the reaction he was likely hoping for though; the redhead merely snickering at his disgruntled expression, trying to hide her smile with the back of her hand at least, though it's much too late.

"Does she run rings around you, Trafalgar~?" She teases, drawing a small smirk back to the male's lips as he scoffs. 

"She'll be running them around you next."

"Pwahahaha we shall see~!" She doesn't intend on trying to babysit the girl so she highly doubts that, in fact she would wager that she's a little younger than Lotte, though there's no way of telling for sure. 

Her brown orbs watching as the now-soaked brunette returns to Kid, a small frown etching into her features when she notices the man slip a piece of paper into her cleavage, Law typing on his phone while Kyo reaches across the table, lightly tapping the back of his hand with her fingers and subtly gaining his attention. 

"You don't think...I'll find Eustass at the apartment tomorrow morning, do you?" Her question makes the raven look over once again at the pair, they're clearly laughing and even flirting somewhat but he still shakes his head, his attention turning back toward his screen as he resumes typing. 

"She's not the sort to hook up with people...I don't think. Just to be safe, I'll call her a cab now." It's a bit of a shame, the girls both seem to be enjoying their respective company but, it's probably for the best - they both have work tomorrow after all.

Kyo stays silent while Law makes the call, simply watching the brunette flirt and discreetly taking in how the two touch and look at each other, they seem to connect so well...surprisingly.

She believes it would be quite sweet, if Kid wasn't such a barbarian.  

Her stare shifting back to Law when he finally hangs up upon booking the taxi, the male looking rather troubled as he holds his hand out to her calmly. "Give me your phone for a second, Kyo-ya." 

Huh? 

Of course, she hesitates for a moment, naturally. Her brows knitting and her pout making a grand reappearance, though she still reaches into her handbag and grabs the device before slowly passing it to him, after all she knows he won't be stupid enough to try and steal it when she lives with his cousin. 

Besides, if he did, she could always just kick his ass.

Her bewildered eyes watching as he types away on the screen before typing something into his own phone secondly, finally passing hers back once he's done with his little task and earning himself a look of confusion.

"I've saved my number to your phone, in case you need a hand later with Lot-ya." 

"Oh?" Probably a smart move on his part, really. The brunette has had a lot to drink and will likely spend most of the night puking it back up, at least now she has a doctor on-call if it gets too bad. "Thank you, that makes my night easier."

"Hmph...listen," His voice laced with hesitation as he leans forward, arms rested on the table and his eyes showing small hints of frustration as well as deep thought before finally, he speaks again. "Would you like to meet up for coffee tomorrow?" 

That question was quite unexpected; Kyo only managing to muster a frown as his word process in her mind, although she's quick to snap herself out of it when she notices how borderline impatient the raven looks, surely he'll be the one needing heart surgery if she prolongs her answer further. 

"Well...I'll be working, but I do have a break at 11am, would that time be suitable for you?" 

"Yeah, mine usually starts a few minutes later, so long as there isn't an emergency."

"Heh, well I'll be at Makino's café." A small smile tugging on her features while her heart seemingly thuds and rattles inside her chest, her face burning up rapidly as she tries to rationalize her thoughts, although Law doesn't appear too affected.

Well, not on the outside anyway. 

The café is close to the hospital so he won't have far to travel for the coffee at least since he's surely a busy man, though the idea of an emergency coming up does alarm her a little, however she could just text him and see what's happening if he doesn't show up. 

It isn't a date, it's just coffee. Relax.

"I'll help you get Lot-ya into the cab."
