The Animal Lover.
Of all nights to dream about Trafalgar Law.
She couldn't even say what the dream was about, nothing notable happened at all, it was just him; that face, those eyes, the smirk. He's beautiful and a part of her wants to hate him for it.
Her hair already scooped into a ponytail and her make-up mostly applied, making the finishing touches to her lipstick before she sets it back down, she opted for wearing black leggings and a skull-themed sweater for the day since they're walking a dog and the weather doesn't exactly look pleasant, judging by the grey clouds in the sky.
Upon grabbing her phone and slipping it into her handbag, something catches her eye, the polaroid camera sat on her vanity table. She could surely take some beautiful pictures while on a walk, especially ones of a dog, now that would bring some life to her wall but she doesn't much fancy the idea of going into photographer mode in front of Trafalgar.
A subtle frown etching itself into her features as she mauls the camera in deep thought, it's small enough to take discreet photos if she's careful, but would Law is a watchful man...he'll likely see.
The girl soon growing frustrated with her own mind and deciding to slip the camera into her bag regardless. "Since when do you care for what men think?" She bitterly grumbles to herself while making her way into the kitchen, her brown orbs shifting toward Lotte's bedroom door as she slips into her boots, she heard the brunette return last night; she was a staggering mess from what Kyo could hear through the walls, but it was just her inside the flat and she seemed sturdy enough to take herself to bed.
But still, she knocks on the door, reaching for the handle but soon decides against opening it.
"Lotte, are you still functioning in there?" The redhead calmly calls out, earning herself a tired groan in return, it would seem she is quite hungover. Perhaps asking her how the date with Eustass went wouldn't be a wise idea quite yet.
I'll have to quiz her on it later.
A sudden buzz drawing her attention as she makes her way back into the kitchen, not even needing to ask who it is as she picks up the phone, pressing the button that opens the complex's door. "Come up."
Immediately opening the apartment door before hotfooting her way over to the sink and pouring Lotte a glass of water, she did the same for her after all - even though she's admittedly still rather salty that Lotte got her father involved but, that might have been an accident.
She takes the glass of water back over to the bedroom door, knocking once again before she asks; "Are you decent?" The response she gains is muffled but sounds positive nonetheless, the girl hesitantly opening the door, thankfully Lotte is alone and covered as suggested.
The brunette's face buried deep into her pillow, still wearing her clothes from last night and her hair incredibly messy as she mutters something incoherent into the bedding. "I bought you some water, now we're even." Kyo simply mutters, setting the glass down before heading back toward the door, Lotte's stifled response only barely reaching her ears.
"...Fanks fur la war..."
Naturally the redhead hasn't a clue what she just said but she decides it doesn't really matter, promptly closing the bedroom door behind her as she makes her way back into the mainroom, the sight of a large and beautiful white fluffy dog catching her eyes, as well as her heart.
When the ball of fur notices her, it hastily approaches with a wide smile, his tail waggling so rapidly that it causes the dog's bum to sway from side-to-side also as it stops before the girl, immediately earning himself a gentle scratch behind his ears.
"Hello there." Her tone uncontrollably soft as a large grin spreads across her face, her eyes essentially shining as she gets down to her knees to give the dog her full attention, the animal amusingly tilting his head into her pale fingers.
Aren't you just adorable.
"Should I be worried that my date seems more happy to see my dog rather than me?" Law lightly jests, the raven leaning against the counter in the background with his arms folded and his usual smirk decorating his lips.
"Best get used to it, you'll always come second to animals." She teases as she finally rises from the ground, her touch leaving the dogs fur as she approaches the doctor instead, resting her hand against his chest with a smirk that challenges his own. "Are you trying to imply that you'd like your ears rubbed too, Trafalgar?"
She doesn't miss how he stiffens at the playful affection, a very vague beat thudding against her palm and causing her brows to furrow as her gaze shifts down to his chest.
Is that his heart?
Though the doctor diverts her attention when he lightly grabs her wrist, still harbouring a confident façade as he leans in close to her face, his nose nearly brushing against her own. "You're in a bold mood today, Kyo-ya."
"Hm? By asking a question? Please, do explain." Her smirk slowly widening, although she can't quite help the rapid pounding of her heart as her eyes stare into his own, the subtle light from the windows causing the gold in his irises to shine.
"Are you always this curious?"
"As a curator, it's in my nature to be."
"Even about living specimens?" He teases once more, his smiling lips mere inches from her own and his soft breath fanning her features, her eyes finally leaving his own to flicker down to his mouth instead, her face burning up madly.
Does he want to kiss me or something? I don't know how to kiss...
Luckily for her, Bepo begins barking at the two, making them both jolt ever so slightly before swiftly pulling away and turning their attentions toward Lotte's door - both seemingly fearing the possibility that the brunette had come out but thankfully, that isn't the case.
The pooch clearly just wants his walk.
"Bepo..." Law faintly scolds while passing the redhead to approach the animal, hooking the leash onto his collar before his eyes return to the girl, immediately earning a somewhat flustered smile.
"Time to go, it would seem." She murmurs calmly, trying to ignore the burning hot blush plastered across her face and her sporadic heartbeat, this man undeniably stirs something deep within her.
"It'd seem so."
