Stay The Night.

Kyo's eyes scan the tattoos decorating Law's hand as she tenderly plays with his fingers, leaning back against his chest as they relax together on his sofa, Bepo curled up beside their legs and Dr. Pimple Popper playing on the TV in the background.

She was surprised when the cardiologist chose a program about skin conditions but Law did warn her very early on that he is interested and qualified in numerous fields of medical research, perhaps she should have taken him more seriously.

The doctor has a lovely apartment though; the living room walls are a light grey colour, perfectly complimenting the black flat-screen TV drilled into the plaster, his floor is made out of cedar wood and windows so large that the sun alone can light up the whole room. His couch is super comfortable, the colour dark blue and it has a built-in lounger on the end, the furniture decorated with a few small yellow cushions.

At first she was too nervous to touch anything or to even sit on the chair, which is how she ended up nestled into Law's lap, he was quite insistent on making her relax inside his home as he had in hers the previous evening. At least here he was able to change his clothes.

The male wearing a loose black hoodie and blue jeans, as well as his usual hat, of course. His chin resting on top of Kyo's head as his half-lidded eyes focus on the television, allowing the girl to maul his digits.

"Is there any way to change Hawk-ya's mind?" The raven softly questions, Kyo had told him that her father wasn't being too open-minded about their relationship but ultimately decided against telling him about her dismissal from work, she isn't too sure how he would react to such a thing and admittedly, apart of her is afraid that he would break up with her if he thought it was causing her too much trouble.

Strangely, she doesn't want him to do that, even if it would be easier for her.

"Probably not yet, no." Her touch finally abandoning his hand and instead reaching up to his face, her fingers initially making contact with the cold metal of his earrings before gently trailing down to his jaw, blindly caressing his skin as she watches the show. "He can be as stubborn as a mule, we best just give him some time."

Her suggestion gaining a small hum in return, it's clear the raven doesn't like that idea but there isn't much else either of them can do, surely it would be easier for him if he was with somebody else entirely, anxiety already beginning to pool inside her stomach at the mere thought however it's soon stifled when Law presses a kiss to the back of her head.

"I can feel you tensing, Kyo-ya." Of course he can, he's good at picking up on her mood at the best of times but when she's feeling down whilst sat in his lap, he can undoubtedly feel every vibe that radiates from her body.

"It's a tense situation, I hope Rocinante isn't going to be this difficult." Her mildly grumpy comment drawing a subtle huff from the surgeon's lips, as if he almost finds her words amusing.

"No way, he wants to meet you already."

"Meet me?" She echoes, the simple thought alone instantly making her feel nervous but also excited at the same time, not that she allows it to show; her expression practically blank as she shifts in the surgeon's lap, turning to face him. "You told him about me?"

"Not exactly," The raven's golden eyes struggling to hold her stare for once as they trail off to the side, a very vague blush dusting his cheeks as a pout etches itself into his features. "He just noticed something was different and guessed it..."

"Is that so?" She softly teases whilst laying her head against his chest, it would seem she has unwittingly learnt how to make Trafalgar rather shy as well as learning who he gets his more observant nature from.

Her eyes falling closed as the doctor loosely wraps his arm around her waist, his free hand idly twirling a lock of her hair around his finger whilst he grunts to himself, still appearing rather embarrassed about his benefactor catching onto his little relationship.

She can't quite help but ask herself all kinds of questions; How did Rocinante guess it so quickly? Has Law's mood changed since they've been seeing each other? Does he think about her as much as she thinks about him?

It's almost maddening, she has never felt such a way before.

"Kyo-ya," His calm call drawing a curious hum from the girl's throat, her fingers gently fiddling with a tassel hanging from his hoodie, a tiny smile gracing her lips as he continues to play with her hair. "How much sleep did you get last night?"

And just like that, she stiffens.

She could hardly tell him about his cousin's male company, that isn't her business to tell and she isn't sure how Lotte would feel about such a thing but at the same time, there's no real use in bluffing him since he can read her like a book.

No, avoidance of certain topics whilst still honestly answering the question might be best.

"Not many, I had a lot of work to do today so..." The second she glances up into his gaze, her words abandon her. His stern eyes lingering on her own as his brow creases, a faint frown adorning his features but his fingers never leave her locks, making him somehow more intimidating.

Sure, he isn't likely to pull her hair or harm her in any way but his expression still harbours a silent warning to it, one that seems to scream: I'll know if you're lying to me.

And the worst part is, it's true, he would know instantly.

"Eustass Kid spent the night." She pathetically cracks, noticing how his features darken briefly while he tenses, his mouth opening to speak but she elaborates before any misunderstanding arises. "He and Lotte came home together after you left and...well, they were rather loud."

The poor surgeon's look of surprise soon turning into more of a grimace as her words slowly sink in, although his shoulders do relax a bit at the information nonetheless, a sigh eventually sounding from his lips as he rests a gentle hand on Kyo's head. "I can only apologize for my cousin's awful taste in men."

His response does draw a giggle from her lips at least, the redhead instinctively burying her face into his chest to hide her smile, subtly inhaling his scent in the process before she speaks again. "I suppose I should get used to him, seems he'll be sleeping at ours again tonight after all."

It feels weird to say aloud so casually, Eustass Kid spending the night.

She never would've thought it before.

It's like having a pet baboon.

"Hmph...you're free to stay here, if you want." Kyo's brows immediately knitting at those words as she peeks up at Law, her mind already trying to figure out the best way to tell him that she's not quite ready for that before he swiftly clarifies. "I mean to sleep, nothing else."

In his defence, he doesn't invite people to spend the night often, perhaps Rocinante from time-to-time but it's rare, not to mention much easier to word without giving him the wrong impression.

However, Kyo has a couple of issues that make this idea of his rather awkward: one being her scars, she doesn't want him to see them yet so she'll be needing to borrow a pyjama shirt that will cover them up, since she can't exactly sleep in the clothes she had worn for work.

Another issue being: "I'm on my period." The girl deadpans, which is why she didn't want to sit on Law's furniture previously, it had begun shortly after being dismissed by Mihawk, because that's just what she needed today.

The doctor only smirking at her concern though, his eyes never leaving her own as he carelessly murmurs a simple; "I guess I'll have to get you some sanitary towels then." immediately earning himself a puzzled stare in return.

"You aren't worried I'll stain your sheets?" It's certainly not the most attractive thing to ask but at least Law doesn't seem to mind, the raven's brows quirking as he gradually frowns once again, his eyes filled with mild bewilderment. "Blood isn't exactly the nicest thing--"

"Kyo-ya, I expect you to bleed once a month...in fact I'd be worried if you didn't, I don't care about the sheets."

He doesn't care?

In the past, every time she had so much as mentioned the dreaded time of month to Ace or Sabo, the two would get weirded out; Sabo seemed merely uncomfortable whilst Ace explicitly stated that he doesn't ever want to know about what's going on 'down there' - she had assumed all men were freaked out by menstrual cycles until now.

I guess this is what it's like to date a doctor.
