Graveyard Shift.

"Oi, Kyo..." Zoro's words falling short as he enters the girl's office, she doesn't usually appreciate people coming in without knocking but she has been in here for many hours now and seemingly silent, it's his job to be concerned.

Of course, he's greeted by the sight of her fast asleep with her face buried in her homework, drawing a sigh from his lips as he slowly approaches and shakes her shoulder. "Oi--!"

His touch immediately jolting the girl awake before he even needs to yell however, her eyes wide and hair slightly dishevelled as she swats his hand away on impulse, though she soon relaxes when she realizes where she is and who's hand it was.

"What...What are you doing in my office?!" She doesn't like to be touched at the best of times but when she's asleep and struggling with night terrors, it's an immense no-no.

"Checking up on you." The greenette taking no notice of her snappy attitude since he is slowly growing rather used to it, instead his eyes slide down to her paperwork, a small frown dinting his features. "Is this what being a student looks like? Gross."

"I don't need babysitting." The redhead crankily rumbles, choosing to ignore his following comment while using her index fingers to rub the sleepers from her bloodshot eyes and straightening herself up in her seat. "What time is it?"

"Huh? You don't need a babysitter, right? Read the time yourself."

Her expression immediately darkening at the sassy reply but she reaches for her phone regardless, clicking the home button and waiting for the lockscreen to light up before reading the numbers displayed on-screen.

2:44am.

Her mood only dampening more at the information while she stands, her neck and back sore from the unconventional sleeping position and her eyes stinging from the lack of real sleep she's had this past week.

On top of the aches and pains, her notes are also smudged, it's only when she catches sight of her reflection in the computer screen she realizes that the black ink from the paper is now smeared across her cheek.

That's just grand.

"Where are you going?" The greenette questions, watching as she begins shuffling her books into her bag before hastily making her way toward the door, bits of her hair still sticking up all over the place and her eye make-up very much smudged.

"Where could I possibly be heading at 2am?" She sarcastically mutters while glancing over her shoulder at the male, a vague pout etched into her features. "I'm going home, obviously."

She waits in the hallway for the greenette to follow her out before finally pulling her office door closed, locking it behind her and causing Zoro to scoff to himself, the boy clearly not appreciating the lack of trust she has for him.

"You're not driving, are you? You look like shit."

"Oh, how flattering." She avoids answering him however since she certainly does intend on driving, it's not like she has any other options at this time of night, at least the roads should be clear though.

"By the way, I can't work tomorrow night or over the weekend." Those words successfully stop the girl in her tracks, her eyes filling with irritation as she glances back over to the boy once more, surely if he looked closely he might even see a small flame dancing in her orbs.

"May I ask why that is?"

"I'm going on vacation with Luffy and the others, you know Luffy, right?" Yes, she might be familiar with him, he is Ace and Sabo's little brother after all. However this does not ease her annoyance in the slightest. "I told Mihawk before he went away and he told me to let you know."

"And who will be looking after museum whilst you're away?"

"He said you would handle that."

She doesn't vocally respond but honestly, she doesn't need to.

Her face says it all; she is furious.

The girl's eyes finally falling closed as she takes a deep breath, holding it for a moment before she let's it go in the form of a sigh. Looks like between studying and attending college, she'll also be needing to find somebody she can trust to take care of this place until Zoro returns.

"...Of course. I'll handle it."

Like I have to handle everything around here.

"Appreciated."

"As it should be." She essentially hisses while adjusting her bag over her shoulder, finally able to take her leave, her brain listing of potential temporary guards but none of them seem adequate.

Ace isn't night guard material, Sabo also has exams coming up and will be extremely busy, Shanks is often drunk on weekends, Drake will be too tired from the day shift to cover the night also...

No, it looks like she'll just have to do the graveyard shift herself and cram her studies into her busy schedule also, it's not like she sleeps too often anyway.

Besides, who can she trust to look after this place better than herself?

What a long week this is going to be.
