Bonds Of Sisterhood.

Please, just walk properly.

There's a small strain in Kyo's legs as she moves, a frown etched into her features as she tries to resist waddling while she makes her way through the museum, heading toward her father's office.

She has been sore all morning after losing her virginity, she thought taking a long bathe before work might ease it but it would seem she was wrong.

Law did at least reassure her that it'll be temporary, he's certain that it shouldn't last the whole day since he was 'careful' with her, which is something she's silently grateful for, she can only imagine the pain she'd be feeling right now if he was more brutal.

She wastes no time in knocking on her father's door before entering which seems to irritate the man immensely, his golden eyes sharpening as they snap up from his desk at the lone redhead, his brows knitted and mouth curved into a frown. He had ceased whatever he was doing in this moment, her orbs taking in the black pen in his hand and the thick book laid out before him, though she can't see what he's writing inside it from her position nor does it really matter.

"I've bought the coins." She simply murmurs as she approaches the desk, setting the envelope down on the wood and making sure they aren't in the way of his current task in the process. "These are only the real ones. I left the fakes in a box at home, I was thinking about throwing them away but I presume I should run that by you first."

"We have no need for them, do what you like." He simply rasps, redirecting his attention back down to his book and resuming his writing, now that she's closer she can see that it almost looks like a work roster.

What is he doing? Changing our shifts or something?

"Right...I'll dispose of them later." She has missed working these past few days, she might admit that much, it makes her feel productive. Upon turning around, she begins making her way back to the door but is stopped short when Mihawk's voice sounds again.

"Have you been eating?" It's rare for this man to prolong conversations, the redhead glancing over her shoulder at him with a brow raised, confusion written all over her face, an expression that only makes his frown slightly deepen as he elaborates. "You seem weakened today."

Shit.

"Weakened?" She echoes whilst desperately trying to think of some kind of excuse. She wonders if he's referring to her stiffened legs or not, which is quite a daunting thought in itself, he's an observant man so the likelihood of him noticing that she has been...for lack of a better word, deflowered, is very high. She can't even blame lack of food since she has been eating rather well lately, especially this morning, she practically inhaled her breakfast. . "I...slept strangely last night so I'm aching a little now, if that's what you mean."

If only she was a better liar.

Her father doesn't say anything to that, his expression as stoic as ever whilst he stares at her in deep thought, she can feel sweat beginning to gloss her forehead as she tries to take another step toward the door but her legs feel like they're covered in cement, she can't seem to move at all.

He isn't buying it...

"Kyo?" A woman's voice thankfully cuts the tension, the redhead's brown orbs shifting to find Perona stood in the doorway of the office, a nonchalant smile decorating her crimson- coloured lips. "You have a visitor here for you at reception."

A what?

"What the hell are you doing here?" Her question seems to slap the smile off of the pinkette's face instantly although it wasn't intended to sound as rude as it did, she was genuinely just surprised to see the girl.

"I told Mihawk I'd help out at reception until you find someone more permanent."

She's our receptionist for now? Did pa really take my advice?

Kyo's brows furrow as she tries to recall whether or not she saw the pinkette at the front desk upon entering, though she wasn't really looking for her since she just wanted to drop her stuff off in her office before giving the coins to her father, she likely walked straight past her without noticing it.

No, she would've stuck out...

The redhead instinctively glancing down at the formal Victorian-themed dress her father's lover adorns, there's absolutely no way she would miss that behind reception if it was there, though there's always the possibility that she was using the bathroom when Kyo had arrived.

The poor pinkette awkwardly shifting under the girl's gaze, her eyes shooting to Mihawk for assistance but he's busy writing so they helplessly trail back to his daughter before she speaks again. "I didn't know Lotte was your roommate, I'm actually friends with her!" Of course that just makes Kyo's frown deepen since she had no idea Perona and her roomie even knew each other, her brain was still processing the fact that she's essentially an employee now before she threw that bombshell on her too.

How do they know each other? They're close in age so I guess they could've gone to the same school--?! No, she came over from an expedition....or did she go there with Pa as well as come back with him? What the fuck is going on?!

"Is there...a part of my life that you aren't going to invade?" Kyo slowly inquires, her mind still struggling to piece the information together and her mildly cold question naturally just making the pinkette pout.

"I'll have you know it's not necessarily a bad thing that I've 'invaded' your life, I stuck up for you when you got your boy--!"

"Kyo was the one who wanted a receptionist," Mihawk's stern and clear voice covering Perona's completely and managing to cut the girl off whilst also drawing his daughter's irritated gaze. "So I'm sure she'll be very welcoming toward you. Won't you, Kyo?" That clearly wasn't a question nor a request.

"...Of course, Pa." She begrudgingly answers before beginning to make her way out once again, though she can't help but think on that sentence Perona was spouting, sure it wasn't complete but she could piece it together well enough - the pinkette defended her when she got a boyfriend, would that be why she has her job back, perhaps?

I might owe her one.

Besides, Kyo isn't the friendliest person but toward her employees, it's different.

Your workers are essentially your crew, she always tries to be fair with them, regardless of her personal feelings.

Reaching reception, she spots the brunette instantly; the girl ringing the little bell sat on the counter but not seeming to be impatient at all, more or less just bored. Her hair is rather tousled and her clothes hang loosely on her frame and the hickies covering her neck are near-impossible to miss. She finally stops ringing the annoying little device however when she spots her roommate, a small smile spreading across her lips.

"Hey, I need to borrow your key."

My key?
