Wilbur's POV

Soon Pitch was defeated and the school was saved. It became silent as people murmured to each other or went home. Violet, Hiro, Penny and I stood there in a circle not sure what to do traumatized from the experience. I spoke up, "You guys wanna sleep over at my house tonight?" They looked up at me a smiled a little.

We decided to come to my house and spend the night. They would bring a sleeping bag and whatever they wanted. I headed home to get ready. I knew my family would be out again so I didn't have to worry about them interrupting. I ran up into my room and decided to change into my pajamas. I went into my closet and pressed a button and was now in my dark blue pajamas. I pressed a button and pulled up my bed so me and my friends could have room to sleep on the floor. Then the doorbell rang. I ran downstairs and opened the door.

It was Hiro. He had some red pajamas and he wore his jacket on top of it. "Hey dude!" I gave him a high five. He smiled an shivered, "Sup, but could you please let me in? It's freezing out here." I laughed, "I was but now you're tempting me." I playfully start to shut the door but he holds it open, struggling cause he was holding his sleeping bag. Then I let him in and we went up into my room.

He started to set up his sleeping bag and then he asked, "Are we going to have snacks?" I nod, "Yep. Anything you want." Hiro's smile grew. I nod again, "And yes we have gummy bears." Hiro let out a whoop, "YESS!" I went over to my little snack bar, pushed a button and tossed him a bag of gummies. He caught it and started to tear the package apart.

Then he stuffed some bears into his mouth and then asked, "So..how is you and Violet's date last night?" I stopped and blushed a little. I looked up at him, "Didn't I tell you this morning?" He answered, "Yeh but not in detail." Of course I wasn't going to tell him in full detail, "It was...fun." He smiled, "How fun?" I couldn't take it, "Really fun!" I coughed, "Umm yeh." Hiro stood up and leaned against the wall, "Well are you guys gonna..you know," he started making hand gestures. I was a bit weirded out. I shook my head, "Dude, you gotta be more specific." Hiro rolled his eyes, "Date. Are you guys going to date?" I wasn't really sure how to answer. I mean, I've thought about it but not greatly, "I...don't know."

"Oh.." I wanted to ask and thought the time was right, "So, are you and Penny going to go out?" He stared at me and looked down for a moment. Then the doorbell rang. He shot up, "Haha someone's here!" he pushed me out the door, "We should probably go answer it." I knew Hiro wanted to get out of answering the question but I let him. We headed down the stairs. I was a little confident for a second, but it faded as soon as I opened the door. The first thing I saw was Violet. She looked..amazing. She wore a purple-well violet pajama dress and her hair fell nicely on top of it. Our eyes locked when I opened the door. I couldn't say anything. I managed to push out a, "Hey." She kept staring at me, looked down and back, "Hey."

Violet's POV

Penny and I arrived at Wilbur's house around the same time. She waved to me, "Hey Violet!" she looked at my pajamas, "You look pretty." I looked down at myself. I was pretty? I just put on the first thing I saw. I just say, "Thanks..." I looked at her outfit now. She wore a unicorn footy pajamas. It was...something. I complimented, "You look cute with your unicorn pajamas." She twirled around, "You think?" I smile, "Yeh."

We started to walk toward the front door and then Penny asks, "Are you and Wilbur dating now?" I felt red when I heard her mention Wilbur. I held my sleeping bag tighter, "I'm not sure." Penny became really upset, "How are you not sure? Didn't you kiss him?" I shushed her and we stood on the front porch, "Yeh but I just kissed him because I felt bad for him." I rang the doorbell. I felt her smirking at me, "And because you like him." I looked down, "Yep." Suddenly the door opened and my eyes met Wilbur's. My heart started beating out of my chest and my face was getting hot. Wilbur spoke, "Hey." I looked down and said, "Hey."

Penny's POV

The two love birds just stood there. I jumped up and flailed my arms, "Hello!" I know it was weird and it ruined the moment, but it was getting pretty awkward. Violet shot a look at me but we just walked in and headed upstairs.

I looked over at Hiro. I was about to say something to him but I didn't. I just continued going up ignoring the nagging feeling inside me. We got to Wilbur's room and saw they had already set up so we set our stuff next to each other. We sat down and I got out a pillow out of my rucksack, setting it down on my open sleeping bag. I looked over at Violet and she took out her phone checking her messages.

Wilbur held onto my horn on my pajamas, "Nice pjs, Penny." I smiled, "Thanks!" I looked at Hiro but he was getting something out of his back pack. Ugh. Why didn't Hiro compliment my pjs?

Hiro's POV

I saw Wilbur walking up to Penny as I was kneeling on my sleeping bag. He was feeling her unicorn horn, "Nice pjs, Penny." I saw her smile, "Thanks!" I turned away. Argh. Sometimes it's hard being Wilbur's friend. Penny and I have had this weird vibe since she showed up. I got out a book I was reading and put it under my sack for later.

I heard Penny ask with a grin, "Hey, I'd like to know what's going on between you too." She glanced towards Violet and Wilbur who were turning red. I smirk pulling off my jacket and walk next to Penny, "Yeh with that date and all." Violet got defensive, "It wasn't a date!" I cross my arms, "Whatever you say but still, what would we call you?" Wilbur questioned, "Are you trying to suggest we should be a couple?" Penny shrugged, "Kinda."

Then there was a long pause amongst the group. Wilbur rubbed his neck, "Dude, I think we're just going to be friends." Violet rubbed her arm uncomfortably. I gave them both nudges, "Whatever makes you too happy." They both smiled at me. Soon we all watched a movie, talked, and played games. It was a fun night.

Now it was 10pm and were going to hit the sack. We turned out the lights and went to sleep, well I didn't. No matter how much I tried, I was restless. I laid there for a little while longer until I had enough and grabbed my jacket and headed outside. I needed air. I leaned against the railing. I stared up at the sky and breathed. Closing my eyes trying to relax. Everything I've been through, losing my parents, living with my aunt, being bullied, having friends, experiencing love...it was all piling up all at once.

No One's POV

Penny saw Hiro sneak out of the room. She too was having trouble sleeping. She decided to go outside with him. Penny walked out a little after Hiro and peeked through the door. He was leaning against the railing, tense. She heard him sigh and felt bad for him. Penny closed the door ever so slowly without making a peep. She spoke, "Couldn't sleep?"

Hiro's head went straight up when he heard her. His breath was quick. He turned a little to see her walking up by the railing a little bit away from him. He let out some air, "I just needed to think." It grew quiet as they stared up at the sky. Penny closed her eyes, "I'm sorry." It surprised Hiro that she said that, "What?" She sighed, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry if I ever hurt you. I'm sorry I'm so...so me." She turned around and leaned her back against the rail. Hiro was shocked. Why was she saying all of this? Hiro shook his head, "I don't understand why you're apologizing for anything." Penny was very frustrated now, " I hurt you, Hiro. I said you weren't my friend. I tried to push you away. I can't believe I actually wanted you out of my life. I'm so stupid and bubbly and gullible!"

She started crying. Hiro felt horrible, "No no no, please don't cry. I hate it when you cry." He grabbed her hand that she she was covering her face with. He looked her in the eyes, "Listen Penny. I would never be mad at you, no matter what you do. I love that you're bubbly. You're also kind to every living thing, caring to anyone who is in pain, and beautiful inside and out. You're one of my best friends. Tonight, I was afraid I was going to lose you. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Penny just stared at him amazed. He continued, "Penny, I actually thought you were the one who was angry at me. I thought you hated me because I was a brainiac and a-" Suddenly, Penny quickly gave him a hug. She closed her eyes and smiled holding him, "You're one of my best friends too." Hiro smiled and hugged back. Then they let go and blushed to themselves. Penny went inside and Hiro followed.

Penny and Hiro's POV

Maybe high school isn't so bad after all.
