Penny POV

Well, Violet seemed like herself as we headed to gym class after lunch. Hiro and Wilbur had health class and I overheard some sophomores saying they were learning about puberty...

AARUGHHH!!!!

Anyway, we were in the locker room and Violet looked bored out of her mind. I looked at her, "Wow you seem tired." She just shrugged at me, "Eh, I'm not into gym." I wasn't into it either but I still try to give effort.

Soon we were let into the gym and we got our squad lines. I was next to Violet and Jamie. Jack Frost pretty much has him under his wing. He was looking over on the other side of the gym with a happy look in his eye.

I decide to start a conversation with him. "Hey Jamie!" He looks over at me startled at first but then gives me a warm smile, "Oh, hi Penny." He turned back to what he was looking at.
Hmmm..

I go toward his gaze and see what he was staring at. It was Riley Anderson!
OOHHHHHH!!! I have a huge grin on my face and Jamie looks at me he puts his hands on his face and groans.

Mr. Cunio then asks for our attention and tells us we are doing a workout then we're running outside. Not my cup of tea but it isn't so bad.

Violet's POV

THIS IS SO BAD! We're doing 9 sit ups, 6 squats, and 3 push ups for 8 minutes! Then were running. Is this school out to get me?

Then they tell us to find partners and then I started to feel relief. Me and Penny instantly became partners. Penny could have easily found her own partner, but me, I kind of leaned on her. We found a mat in the very corner of the gym. Penny started to stretch as I stood there crossing my arms. "Ugh, why do have to do this?" Penny said as she touched her toes, "So we..can be healthy." I roll my eyes. Of course.

First it was Penny first and she started doing her 9 sit ups. She then smirked and then said, "I think Jamie likes Riley." Well that was out of nowhere. I kind of smile too picturing it in my head, "Really?" Penny nodded as she went to squats.

We had a some small talk for 5 more minutes and then it was my turn. Yippee. I lay on the mat and start my workout. As I start, I hear Penny ask, "Soo how's you and Wilbur going?" I almost stop my sit ups but I continue feeling warmth on my face as Penny gives a devious smirk.

I try to ignore it and answer without a smile, "Nothing is happening." I go to my air squats and she continued to press me, "Come on, I know you like him. You told me before and it's pretty obvious he likes you too." Butterflies fill my stomach as I think of Wilbur and me. Then I get to my push ups and say to Penny, "Ok, I like him but we're probably not gonna get together."

Soon it was quiet between us and I finish my muscle retching exercise and we head outside. As we run around the school yard, a group of 20 year olds that were walking on the sidewalk were watching us. I groan and make myself invisible. Ugh. Could this day be anymore difficult??
