Prologue
"I don't care if they say yes or no, all that matters is that I've sold my heart to you."

Dudley Dursley considered himself to be very privileged. Allowed to do whatever he wanted since he had been brought to this earth, the young boy never once doubted how much his actions affected others for he didn't think he had to. Son to Petunia Dursley and cousin of younger Harry Potter, Dudley hadn't lived a day without seeing freakish occurrences around the young boy. Such occurrences were hardly rare and whenever they did happen, it seemed as if only Dudley was amused and happy for his parents looked furious, his uncle all red and his mother looking as if she had swallowed a watermelon.
Dudley could still remember the very first time that he had witnessed his cousin's magic. It was in the mid afternoon and Harry had just been ushered into the cupboard with a harsh swat of a broom for trying to eat without their permission. Dudley had stayed as still as possible, trying to look like he didn't care by stuffing his fat face with grease and chips. It wasn't until his mother scurried away from the front door that Dudley brought his plate of left over chips and a half eaten sandwich to the door, opening it up with difficulty as his pudgy hands were all slippery from the oil.
Harry had not only been grateful enough to dismiss the suspicion of it all but he had also been so surprised to the point where he had caused the food to multiply or duplicate in Dudley's own words. The large boy was at a loss for words but as Harry offered a sandwich slice to him, ketchup dribbling down his chin and green eyes alight with wonder and gratefulness, Dudley shrugged off the amazement and took the food with eagerness.
The second time he had noticed the magic was more than once yet it was for the same thing day by day. His mother would shave his cousin's hair off yet it would all be back and messier than before the next morning.
Indeed, Dudley was used to magic happening in his household and no matter how much his parents shrieked and forbid it from ever happening, Dudley found himself going against his parents for his own curiosity and amusement and to him, it was perfectly worth it.
