Blaze POV:

I've been a bit scared waiting for this day to come but it's here. The first day of school at my new school, Emerald High. I've been moving for quite a while around to different schools, so I don't expect to stay here long. I've always been the odd one out, but I accept that. I don't think it's going to be any different here. Though I have to say, from what I've heard this school sounds lovely.

I packed up all of my stuff into my satchel and I walked off to the place called the "bus stop" where I shall be picked up and brought to the school for the school year. This school works differently than other schools.

I saw a hedgehog with red stripes on his quills standing silently at the stop. Once I reached him, he looked at me. 

"New?" The hedgehog asked.

"Yes."

"Where did you move from?"

"Well... The last school I came from was a private school called Seaside High. But I move all the time."

"Okay."

I looked past the hedgehog to see a bat flying towards us. She landed silently and looked at me. She could already tell I was new.

Rouge POV:

"Welcome." I told the new girl. I looked her up and down. She was quite unique, but I felt like she would fit right in.

"Thank you." She responded to me.

"No problem. I'm Rouge. What's your name?" I asked the girl.

"Blaze. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"You too."

"Shadow." I heard my friend Shadow say. We've been friends for a long time now.

"It's nice to meet you as well, Shadow." Blaze told the hedgehog.

"Yeah, you too. The bus is here."

We all looked to see the bus pull up in front of the stop. We all walked onto the bus one by one. I looked around and realized that we were the first stop.

"Well well well, looks like it's our lucky day." I said to the other two.

Shadow POV:

"We're going to the back." I told Rouge. She nodded and we walked to the back. The buses seats were three to a seat.

"Can I sit with you two?" I heard Blaze ask us.

"Sure." Rouge answered her.

We walked to the back right set of three seats of the bus and sat down. Rouge sat by the window and talked with me and Blaze sat on the outside and stayed silent the whole ride. The bus slowly started filling up with more and more students...

"Hey Shads!"

I heard that annoying blue hedgehog shout to me from his seat all the way in the left front corner of the bus.

"Leave him alone, Sonic." Tails, Sonic's best friend, told Sonic.

If there was anything I am grateful for when it comes to Sonic and his friends, it's that Tails is there to make sure Sonic doesn't annoy others all the time.

Soon enough, we arrived at Emerald High. I looked at Rouge, her eyes were filled with excitement. Then I looked at Blaze, she was scared. We all soon walked off of the bus and headed into the building.
