The first scene shows the surface of the planet Möbius with invading ships in the sky. Y/n, in the distance, watches from afar before he closes his helmet over his face.

Our world's about to break
Tormented and attacked!

Y/n leaps forward with his shield out front, the scene transitioning to Mobius as Shadow The Hedgehog is seen looking over a cliff.

Lost from when we wake

Sonic is then seen as he speeds around Knothole.

With no way to go back!

Y/n latches his shield to his arm as he activates his Ring Blade.

I'm standing on my own

Y/n was then seen standing against Infinite with a Badnik army behind him...

But now I'm not alone!

... only for the Freedom Fighters to walk up behind Y/n as the knight raises his shield into the air.

"Freedom Fighters! Assemble!"

They all rush forward to attack as does the Badnik army and Infinite, the two clashing head-on.

Always we will fight as one
Till the battle's won!

Sonic speeds around the battlefield as the Chaotix and others take down more robots.

With evil on the run
We never come undone!

Knuckles lifts a giant Badnik over his head and tosses it at some smaller ones as Shadow uses his Chaos Powers to take down more Badniks.

Assemble, we are strong
Forever fight as one!

Sonic and other Freedom Fighters cut through the Badnik army as Tails flies into the battle, piloting the Tornado as he shot at some Badniks. Y/n also dispatches some Badniks before he opens up his helmet and looks up to see Infinite nearby, watching him.

Assembled, we are strong

Y/n closes his helmet over his face and leaps forward to Infinite, the jackal doing the same as the two prepared for battle.

Amy is seen outside Bunnie's house knocking on her door. She was hoping to ask Y/n about something, but had found that he wasn't in his room in the castle. In fact, no one so far had seem him since the night before, and Bunnie was the one she has yet to ask. She figured since the two were the closest, she had to know something.

After some waiting, Bunnie opens her door. But something seemed off. She stepped out wearing a pink bathrobe and her hair looked very dishelved, almost like she had barely woken up when it was clearly almost noon.

Bunnie: "Oh! H-hey, Amy. What's keepin' it up? A-Ah mean, what's up? Wha brings you 'ere, surgah?"

Amy: "Um, first off, are you okay, Bunnie? You look like you had it rough last night."

Bunnie: *lovestruck* "Oh, ya can't even imagine..."

Bunnie mumbles, making Amy confused as she didn't quite hear what the cyborg rabbit said.

Amy: "Excuse me?"

Bunnie: "A-Ah said reckon. Ah reckon Ah just need ta get a few new pillows. Rough on mah neck, ya know?"

Amy: "Uh, okay? Anyway, I wanted to ask you if you'd seen Y/n anywhere. I wanted to ask him something, but he wasn't at the castle." *mumbling* "Sally made that very clear..." *aloud* "I asked everyone else around and no one's seen him. You don't think something happened to him, do you?"

However, still a bit lovestruck, Bunnie seemed out of concentration as she remembered the night before.

Bunnie: "Somethin' happened alright..." *aloud* "A-Ah mean, I'm sure he's alright, hun. He's usually either out early on patrol or trainin' by the Lake a' Rings. If Ah see him, Ah'll let him him know yer lookin' fo' him."

Amy: "Oh, great. Thanks, Bunnie. You're the best."

Bunnie: "Hey, what're friends fo', right?"

Amy smiles and goes to leave, but stops herself and turns to Bunnie again.

Amy: "Oh, and by the way, you're coming to help us organize today's event, right?"

Bunnie: "Oh, don't worry yerself. I'll be there. Just give me some time ta put mah face on."

Amy nods and Bunnie quickly closes the door and locks it. She takes a fee deep breathes to calm herself before she walks back to her room. There, underneath the bed sheets sleeping, was the Meta-Möbian Amy was searching for.

Bunnie: "He really is just too cute when he sleeps." *sighs lovestruck* "Last night was amazin'. Really wish Ah didn't 'ave to wake him now, but don't want to raise suspicion."

She walks up to her bed and starts to shake her secret lover.

Bunnie: "N/n... Come on, surgah. Time ta wake up, now. It's almost noon an' we really missed the clock."

Y/n: *half-asleep* "Mhm... come back... Bunnie... so soft... sleep..."

Bunnie blushes a bit at her lover's words. Even in his sleep, Y/n still thinks of her. She couldn't help but giggle at how adorable the jackal was acting, but she had to get Y/n up somehow. And she knew exactly how.

Small Timeskip...

Y/n is now seen awake, back in his armor, and with a small bump on his head. He was at Bunnie's door as he bid his secret lover a farewell.

Y/n: "So, same time tonight?"

Bunnie: "Ya know it. And I can't wait."

Y/n: "And neither can I, m'lady."

The two then share one last lovers' kiss, savoring it as it may be their only one for most of the day.

Then they part and Y/n teleports away, leaving Bunnie with a happy smile on her face.

A few days had passed since Y/n and Bunnie had returned back to Knothole after being stranded for two whole weeks on an island filled with murderous robots. The two had fully explained what had happened when they got there, and everyone was happy to see them back. Especially Shard since he saw Y/n as his father. Sally was happy that they were back, too, but was less enthusiastic than what you would think she'd be. But she could've just been tired from searching for the two secret lovers for a week.

As said already, Bunnie and Y/n had kept their new relationship a secret. They only had their intimate moments in private or whenever they had the chance. They mostly met at Bunnie's house so the cyborg rabbit wouldn't be caught by the guards, and they even have a secret knock to tell the other who's there.

Anyways, back with Y/n, the jackal appears some ways away from Bunnie's home. He looks around for a moment before making his way forward to look for Amy, only to run into his "son".

Shard: "Oh! Dad! What are you doing here?"

Y/n: "Oh. Hey, Shard. I was just looking for Amy. I ran into Bun earlier after... going on a early patrol and she told me Amy was looking for me."

Shard: "Well, I saw her just earlier in the center of town. She's helping plan, um... a ceremony for Sonic The Hedgehog, I think. I don't know why, since they should've done so after he died. But, oh well."

Y/n: "Thanks, Shard. I'll see you around."

Y/n goes to walk off, only to stop when Shard speaks again.

Shard: "Oh, and I hope you and Mom had some fun last night. Tell her I said, "Hi"!"

Y/n blushes and glances back at Shard to see the former Metal Sonic walking away, whistling a merry tune. Y/n takes in a breathe, realizing that his "son" may know about his and Bunnie's secret relationship.

However, he chooses to ignore it for now and make his way to the center of Knothole. People greet him along the way and he returns the gesture. Some people just stare and whisper something to each other, however, as he passes by as well. Probably about him. Y/n didn't mind, though, since his, and he quotes from his father, "royal pride refuses to feel insulted" (okay, Vegeta). It's what Emperor Maximillian always said, and even though he wasn't the best father to Y/n, the jackal usually took his advice. It hasn't done him any harm just yet.

Y/n soon arrives at the center of Knothole to see people moving about as they prepared for a celebration, or something of the sort. Like Shard had said, they were all preparing for a ceremony for Sonic and his sacrifice.

Y/n looks around a bit before he spots Amy talking with Tails. The pink hedgehog looked a bit annoyed while the twin-tailed fox seemed a bit frightened. Y/n walked up to them.

Y/n: "Heya, Rose. What's going on here?"

Both Amy and Tails turn to Y/n.

Amy: "Sally was supposed to be here and help with the planning, but she isn't here. She's been acting really weird lately as well."

Tails: "Yeah. Just earlier while I was trying to get her attention and bring her here, she yelled at me out of nowhere. She never does that."

Y/n: "Hmm. Well, maybe she's just stressed out. My sister yelled at almost everyone when she was stressed... or when she had enough of people."

Tails: "Your Sally, maybe, but our Sally doesn't."

Y/n puts a hand on his chin in thought.

Y/n: "Well, you have a point. I could look into it if you want?"

Amy: "That'd be great, but we need your help with getting everything ready first, okay?"

Y/n: "As you wish, Rose."

After that, Y/n helped Amy and the others prepare for the celebration for tomorrow. When Bunnie arrived to help as well, she and Y/n sometimes flirted with and teased each other when no one else was looking as they worked. Shard had caught them flirting during one of their breaks, but hasn't said anything... so far. Perhaps he just wishes to see his "dad" happy and chooses not to tell anyone else. Heh. What a good son.

Nighttime...

That night, Y/n used the cover of darkness, and his speed and agility, to sneak around Knothole and reach Bunnie's home. Once there, he used their secret knock: knocking twice first before waiting a three seconds before knocking two more times. When the door opened, it revealed a happy-looking Bunnie who pulled Y/n inside her home... and into a loving kiss.

The two secret lovers then spent the night together, eating dinner before playing some games and even watching TV (do they have TVs? I mean, they have computers, don't they? So, why not?). Then, when they became tired, they both went to bed together and cuddled each other for the night... after some more kisses, of course.

Midnight...

In the middle of the night, Y/n and Bunnie are seen sleeping in the same bed still as they held smiles on their faces. But suddenly, Y/n's ear started to twitch which makes him stir. He groans groggily and looks around for whatever was triggering his ear, but found nothing... in the room, at least. The jackal sits up in the bed and examines his dark surroundings even further, causing Bunnie to stir and wake up.

Bunnie: *half-asleep* "Y/n-Surgah... come back ta sleep..."

She tugged at her secret lover's arm, begging him to hold her again under the sheets. Y/n was almost tempted to do so, but his instincts were telling him that something was off.

Y/n: "I'll be right back, m'lady. I just need to check on something."

Leaning down, Y/n kisses Bunnie's forehead and then silently gets out of bed to not disturb her. He walks out of the room and looks into the main quarters, using his keen eyesight to examine his surroundings. However,he spots nothing... but his instincts were still telling him something was wrong. That meant whatever he was sensing was outside instead of inside.

Swiftly, Y/n made his way to the front door and looks out the window. At first he sees nothing but the dark of night, but a figure passes by. Y/n's fur stood on their ends as he instantly reacted, activating his Ring Blade and pulling open the door to go outside. He spins around and aims his glowing Ring Blade at the figure, only for Y/n to go wide-eyed when he sees...

"Sally...?"

Y/n took a step back in shock as he lowered his Ring Blade, not expecting to see the alternate version of his adoptive sister to be there in front of him. However, there was something wrong... her eyes were slightly glowing a golden color instead of their usual blue.

The two stared at each other in silence, Y/n stunned to silence while Sally gave a lazy look at the jackal. Neither of them moved an inch... that is until Sally turns around and shuffles away, like a zombie. Y/n watches her in confusion, but he already knew...

"Something's wrong with her."

The Next Day...

Queen Alicia: "I think I know what you mean, Y/n."

It was the next day and Y/n was talking to Alicia Acorn, the mother of Sally. He was talking to her about what he had seen last night with Sally.

Y/n: "You do? And, no offense, your majesty, but didn't I ask for both you and your husband's presence?"

Queen Alicia: "Yes, you did. And that is what I mean by knowing what you mean about my daughter acting... strange."

Y/n tilts his head in confusion as Alicia continues.

Queen Alicia: "I have noticed the same strange behaviors Sally has been showing recently as well, and Max has been showing... similar behaviors, too."

Y/n: "... explain, please."

Queen Alicia: "He's been... off, lately. Mumbling strange mumbo-jumbo, growing distant from me and everyone else, and growing more aggressive as well. I want to say he's going through something... but something else feels off. Wrong, even."

Y/n: "Something is wrong, I can agree with you on that. I can take a look into it if you want, your majesty. Gather a team and go look into it, if ya want? I can bet the Doctor is behind this."

Queen Alicia: "I would greatly appreciate, Captain. I can assemble some of our best knights if you--"

Y/n: "You needn't worry, your majesty. I have some people in mind already."

Queen Alicia: "Then, by all means, please find out what's happening to my husband and daughter, Captain Möbius."

Y/n: "Aye-aye, your majesty."

Giving a salute to the queen, Y/n makes his way out of the castle to assemble his team.

Timeskip...

Later, Y/n is seen at the edge of Knothole as he looked out at the forest before him. He turns to look at his team.

"You all ready?"

Bunnie: "Always, surgah."

Shard: "Of course, Dad."

Y/n: "And NICOLE?"

NICOLE: *via Shard* "I'm ready!"

Y/n smiles before he turns to face the forest again.

Y/n: "Then everyone, let's roll out!"

The small team of Freedom Fighters then make their way to leave Knothole in search for the cause of Sally and King Max acting out of character. However, a familiar chipmunk was watching them leave in the shadows of the nearby trees...
