The first scene shows the surface of the planet Möbius with invading ships in the sky. Y/n, in the distance, watches from afar before he closes his helmet over his face.

Our world's about to break
Tormented and attacked!

Y/n leaps forward with his shield out front, the scene transitioning to Mobius as Shadow The Hedgehog is seen looking over a cliff.

Lost from when we wake

Sonic is then seen as he speeds around Knothole.

With no way to go back!

Y/n latches his shield to his arm as he activates his Ring Blade.

I'm standing on my own

Y/n was then seen standing against Infinite with a Badnik army behind him...

But now I'm not alone!

... only for the Freedom Fighters to walk up behind Y/n as the knight raises his shield into the air.

"Freedom Fighters! Assemble!"

They all rush forward to attack as does the Badnik army and Infinite, the two clashing head-on.

Always we will fight as one
Till the battle's won!

Sonic speeds around the battlefield as the Chaotix and others take down more robots.

With evil on the run
We never come undone!

Knuckles lifts a giant Badnik over his head and tosses it at some smaller ones as Shadow uses his Chaos Powers to take down more Badniks.

Assemble, we are strong
Forever fight as one!

Sonic and other Freedom Fighters cut through the Badnik army as Tails flies into the battle, piloting the Tornado as he shot at some Badniks. Y/n also dispatches some Badniks before he opens up his helmet and looks up to see Infinite nearby, watching him.

Assembled, we are strong

Y/n closes his helmet over his face and leaps forward to Infinite, the jackal doing the same as the two prepared for battle.

Forever fight as one!

The Next Day...

The next day, Bunnie is seen sleeping on the sand with Y/n's armor's cape wrapped around her. However, she soon stirs and her eyes flutter open as she sits up. She rubs her eyes and immediately realizes that she's using her cybernetic arm.

Bunnie: "Well, alright."

She stands and stretches a bit before looking around to see it was now daytime. And that Y/n wasn't with her. She turns her head to search for him when she sees a handwritten message in the sand next to the fire.

WENT WEST
LOOK FOR ME WHEN YOU SEE THIS

Bunnie: "Well, looks like Ah'm headin' West."

She then heads West, entering the island's jungle as she passes by the tall trees and shrubbery. After a few minutes of walking, she comes across a waterfall and a small body of water with some rocks in it. On top of one of the rocks was Y/n who had the top of his armor off and had his Ring Blade active. He looked poised for something.

Bunnie: "Y/n-surgah? What are ya doin'?"

Y/n: "Well, good morning to you as well, Bun. Right now, I'm trying to catch us some fish."

Bunnie: "Why? Don't we have rations?"

Bunnie asked Y/n as she walked up to the water.

Y/n: "Yeah, but they're SMALL!"

Y/n exclaims as he extends his Ring Blade and stabs at a nearby fish, only to miss.

Y/n: *mumbling* "Darn..." *aloud* "That's why I'm making sure we have enough food. I see your cybernetics are working. How'd you sleep?"

Bunnie: "Ah slept fine, surgahcube."

Bunnie said, her voice seemingly closer to Y/n as he payed attention to the water below him.

Y/n: "That's good. We're gonna need all the energy we got since we need to build a temporary shel-TAAAAH!"

Suddenly, Y/n was pushed off the rock and he falls into the water. Bunnie, being the culprit, laughs as she pokes her out from behind the rock. Y/n breaks the water's surface and sticks his head out, a grumpy look on his face as he spits out some water, a fish flopping on his head.

Y/n: "Seriously?"

Bunnie: "Sorry, N/n. Couldn't help mahself."

Bunnie said, laughing as Y/n stood from the water and walked up to the cyborg rabbit girl.

Y/n: *smirking* "Oh, you think that's funny?"

Bunnie's smile immediately drops as she realizes what Y/n was trying to do.

"Oh no."

"Oh, yeah."

Y/n starts chasing Bunnie around the pond, both of them laughing as Bunnie yells out protest after protest.

Later, by the fire again, both Freedom Fighters are drying their damp fur off as they sat on either side of the fire. Fish was cooking over it which Y/n was gonna use with some of the rations he and Bunnie brought with them.

Bunnie: "So... Ah didn't know you could cook."

Y/n: "I don't really do it often since, for most of my life, food has been made for me instead of by me. Same way at Castle Acorn."

Bunnie: "Right. Yer livin' there, ain't ya?"

Y/n: "Yeah. It's nice to use my cooking skill from time-to-time."

Bunnie giggles a bit before Y/n took the finally cooked fish from the fire and handed it to her. Bunnie thanks the jackal and digs into her lunch as Y/n gets his own fish. The two eat in mostly silence for a little bit before Bunnie speaks up.

Bunnie: "Y/n-surgah? Can Ah ask ya somethin' personal?"

Y/n: *nearly done with fish* "Sure, Bun. What's up?"

Bunnie: "It's... 'bout Infinite."

Y/n's smile almost falters as he looks up from his fish and to Bunnie.

Bunnie: "Ah know it'sa touchy subject, but... ya never really told us why he fought Enigma with us after bein' our enemy."

Y/n stays silent for a moment before responding.

Y/n: "During our final battle with Enigma, me and Infinite had our own bout. Then, after battling, we found out something... about ourselves."

Bunnie: "What... did ya find out?"

Y/n: *hesitation* "We're... brothers. Just from different worlds."

Bunnie: *shocked* "Wh-what?"

Y/n: "In my Zone, I had a twin brother who died when we were just pups, along with my mother. Something similar happened to Infinite, where he had his mother die and... his brother... this world's me... was murdered."

Bunnie gasped as she covered her mouth in shock. Y/n lowered his head to look at the sand at his feet as he remembered what Infinite said to him in that Mindscape. Tears started to swell in his eyes.

Y/n: "For my entire life, I wanted to have at least one day to be with my brother. Just one. But when I finally had it, when I finally got that day, it was with my brother... but my brother, the enemy, not my friend. It left me heartbroken when I realized that I'd now had to fight the only blood family I have left... and he technically isn't even my brother, just to make it worse."

Tears rolled down Y/n's face as teardrops fall to the sand. The jackal trembles a bit as he grips the fur on his legs. Bunnie felt sympathy for her friend... her crush. She had no idea that Y/n was holding that burden on his back, and she hated seeing him this way; trembling with tears in his eyes. She wanted to stand up and comfort him. To hold him in her arms and whisper sweet nothings in his ears just to see a small smile form on his face. But before she could, Y/n speaks up again.

Y/n: "But, even if he is the enemy... even if we'll have to do battle after battle and have to die as enemies... I still love him. I don't think he could do anything to make me stop loving him."

Bunnie's mouth slightly gaps open in shock as Y/n rubs his teary eyes, putting on a determined look on his tear-stained face as he looks back up at Bunnie.

Y/n: "And that means I'm going to do anything it takes to save him from whatever evil he harbors. I may not make him a hero, but I'll make him a better person. Just so we can finally be united... as brothers."

Bunnie looks at her friend in admiration as her heart skips a beat like the day before. However, she soon grows a determined smile.

Bunnie: "An' Ah'll be there ta help ya ev'ry step a' the way, Cap. Ah'll help ya save yer brother."

Y/n looks up at Bunnir and smiles at her in gratitude. They smiled at each other, an atmosphere of admiration forming between them as they find another reason to fall in love with each other.

Soon, as the days passed, Y/n and Bunnie work together to build themselves shelter that branches out of The Crusader. They take turns searching for food while the other tries their best to fix up The Crusader. That's what they did during the day. At night, they sat in front of an open fire and cook their food. As the food cooked and as they ate, the jackal and rabbit girl telling each other jokes and stories. The stories where sometimes funny, like the one Bunnie told Y/n about when she was still getting used to her cybernetics and they sometimes went out of control, causing some wacky things to happen. Other stories were of their adventures, like one that Y/n told Bunnie. He and his squad were holding back an army of Overlanders from taking a city in his Zone while they waited for backup to arrive. It took a few days, but backup finally arrived and they stopped the Overlanders from taking the city. However, sometimes, they would just eat their food in silence as they look up at the stars above and simply enjoyed each others company. They had grown much closer to each other over their time on the island, nearly two weeks, their secret love for each other only growing. However, tonight is a night where they would grow the closest they've ever been.

Nighttime...

At nighttime, Bunnie can be seen wide awake as she looked at the stars in the sky above. The Moon wasn't present that night, but the sky was just as beautiful. She sighs and closes her eyes as she lowers her head.

"So... didn't think brooding was your thing, Bun."

Bunnie opens her eyes and turns her head to see a groggy Y/n behind her, his cape wrapped around him as he had obviously just woken up.

Bunnie: "Sorry. Did Ah wake ya, Surgah-N/n?"

Y/n: "Nah, it's fine. You didn't really do anything."

Y/n lazily tells his crush and sits down next to her. He takes notice of how she was shivering a bit and wraps his cape around her as well, pulling her close to him so she could warm up. Bunnie blushes a bit at this but leans against Y/n, enjoying the warmth of his body and taking in his scent.

Bunnie: "Th-thanks, N/n."

Y/n: "It's no problem, Bunnie." *yawns* "What are you doing up anyway?"

Bunnie: "No reason. Just... wanted ta see the stars."

Bunnie was obviously lying, and Y/n could tell. And being the good friend he was, Y/n wanted to find out why Bunnie was out so late and wanted to help her.

Y/n: "I know you're lying, Bunnie. Come on, you can tell me. I wanna help."

Bunnie looks up at Y/n's eyes to see that they held sincerity. Well, sleepiness, but sincerity as well. The cyborg rabbit sighs.

Bunnie: "Ah miss Knothole and our friends."

Y/n: "You're homesick? Well, I know the feeling. Wanna talk about it?"

Bunnie: "Yeah... but it's not just homesickness, surgah. It's..."

She trails off, feeling a bit embarrassed and doesn't finish.

Y/n: "What is it?"

Bunnie: *sighs* "It's mah limbs. I... kinda feel useless without all their functions."

Y/n: "Bunnie..."

Bunnie: "Ah know Ah shouldn't feel that way, but Ah do. You use yer powers ta help me all the time an' help the both a' us on this island. But... Ah wish Ah could just help. Ah can't even fly like this..."

Bunnie looks down with sad eyes. However, Y/n only smiles softly at her as he starts gently caressing her head with his hand, making the rabbit girl lean into his touch with a smile. She enjoyed the feeling of Y/n's hand, and enjoyed it even more when her jackal crush began rubbing her ears.

Y/n: "Well, even if you can't fly like an angel, you're still amazing to me, no matter what, Bunnie."

Bunnie looks up at Y/n again to see his signature smile on his face. Her heart skipped yet another beat.

"Scarlette."

"Hm?"

Y/n tilted his head in confusion, making Bunnie giggle at hiw adorable it looks to her before explaining.

Bunnie: "Scarlette. That's mah real name, surgah. Like your Zone's version of me. We both share... or, rather, shared the same first name. Ah found out not too long after the whole Xorda fiasco before you came along. Just thought Ah should tell ya that."

Y/n: "Really? What made you want to tell me this?"

Bunnie hesitated to answer as she looked at Y/n. Then her eyes drifted to the jackal's lips, a familiar feeling of wanting to taste them again after she kissed him during their battles with Enigma returning yet again. However, instead of hesitating like she had for the past few weeks, Bunnie snatches the opportunity in front of her. She smashes her lips against Y/n's, leaving the knight in a state of shock as he watches Bunnie kiss him with wide eyes. Then, after only a short moment, Bunnie pulls away and looks at Y/n with loving eyes as Y/n could only gently touch his lips in surprise.

Bunnie: "That, surgah. That's what made me tell ya. Ah love you, Y/n L/n Akorn."

Y/n starred at Bunnie in shock. He couldn't believe that the very person he was in love with felt the same way about him. However, instead of saying anything in response, Y/n did the same as Bunnie and smashed his own lips against her's. It was Bunnie's turn to react in shock, but the shock is quickly washed away and replaced with joy and pleasure as she kisses Y/n back. She was overjoyed that Y/n had returned her kiss back full. It was a kiss full of love and passion... a lovers' kiss.

Soon this simple kiss turned into a makeout session as Bunnie straddled Y/n, their hands being held by each other with their fingers interlocking. After a few minutes of this, the two part with heavy pants. Neither one of them had ever done anything like that before, but they didn't want to just stop their either. However, Bunnie was first to take action as she increased her grip on Y/n's hands and pinned him down to the ground.

Y/n: "H-huh? What are you doing, B-Bun?"

Bunnie: "Ah don' really know... but Ah'm just gonna roll with it~"

The rabbit girl whispered seductively in Y/n's ear, making the jackal's tail wag beneath him as he chuckles.

Y/n: "Looks like I'm rolling with it right along with ya, sugar."

Y/n smiles at Bunnie again before they kiss once more. They wanted nothing else at the moment than to enjoy the presence of one another... passionately and intimately.
