The first scene shows the surface of the planet Möbius with invading ships in the sky. Y/n, in the distance, watches from afar before he closes his helmet over his face.

Our world's about to break
Tormented and attacked!

Y/n leaps forward with his shield out front, the scene transitioning to Mobius as Shadow The Hedgehog is seen looking over a cliff.

Lost from when we wake

Sonic is then seen as he speeds around Knothole.

With no way to go back!

Y/n latches his shield to his arm as he activates his Ring Blade.

I'm standing on my own

Y/n was then seen standing against Infinite with a Badnik army behind him...

But now I'm not alone!

... only for the Freedom Fighters to walk up behind Y/n as the knight raises his shield into the air.

"Freedom Fighters! Assemble!"

They all rush forward to attack as does the Badnik army and Infinite, the two clashing head-on.

Always we will fight as one
Till the battle's won!

Sonic speeds around the battlefield as the Chaotix and others take down more robots.

With evil on the run
We never come undone!

Knuckles lifts a giant Badnik over his head and tosses it at some smaller ones as Shadow uses his Chaos Powers to take down more Badniks.

Assemble, we are strong
Forever fight as one!

Sonic and other Freedom Fighters cut through the Badnik army as Tails flies into the battle, piloting the Tornado as he shot at some Badniks. Y/n also dispatches some Badniks before he opens up his helmet and looks up to see Infinite nearby, watching him.

Assembled, we are strong

Y/n closes his helmet over his face and leaps forward to Infinite, the jackal doing the same as the two prepared for battle.

Forever fight as one!

In Old Megaopolis Harbor, Tails fires bullets from the Tornado's guns. Shard also fires his blasts from his arm cannon as well, which Eggman narrowly avoids.

Dr. Eggman: "By my calculations, Sonic should be in Knothole City buckling up his shoes! Yet he, his pesky sidekick, and that blasted bot have somehow arrived and intend to ambush my atomic launch. M, how is this possible?"

M: "There is a ninety-nine percent probability of a Power Ring being involved, Dr. Robotnik."

Suddenly, Sonic dropped from the Tornado and down on Eggman.

Sonic: "Gotta hand it to your new sidekick, Eggman. Not only is she cool as a cucumber, she's also quick in the uptake!"

He tackles the mad doctor and they both fall to the floor. Sonic then notices a hover-cam nearby, making him grin.

Sonic: "Hope that hover-cam of your is still sending a live broadcast back to Castle Acorn, 'cause my great-grandkids are gonna want to see this someday!"

The blue hedgehog pins the man down with his foot, and he takes out some handcuffs from thin air.

Dr. Eggman: "You may imprison me, hedgehog, but it's too late to stop my missiles! The countdown has begun!"

Sonic: "Remind me why I should worry when I've got some whiz kids pulling double duty to stop it, creep!"

Back in the air, Shard stays silent for a moment before he grins.

Shard: "I'm in!"

Tails: "Rotor! Shard hacked into Robotnik's computer system! What's next?"

Rotor: *through comms* "Find the launch program!"

Eggman freaks out and rolls away from Sonif.

Dr. Eggman: "What?! Those high-tech hooligans aren't attempting to access my hard drive, are they?"

Sonic: "Why shouldn't they?"

Dr. Eggman: "Because of ADAM!"

Sonic: "ADAM?"

Dr. Eggman: *grins* "The Autonomous Digital Assaukt Microbe. A sentient computer virus I accidently created nine months ago. ADAM controls my main computer, plus every SWAT-Bot, War-Bot, and Com-Bot in my armed force. When your cohorts linked to it, their own systems became infected by him. Even that damn rogue can't hold him back."

Shard's grin suddenly falls as he becomes serious. His entire visor turns dark green before the color shrinks just to his eyes.

Tails: "Uh, Shard? You okay, pal?"

The now infected robot turns to Tails and aims his arm cannon at him. It charges with green energy, making Tails' eyes widen.

Tails: "Oh, boy!"

Robotropolis...

At Fort Acorn, the soldiers lined together at the ready. Inside the fort, Julie-Su was talking to her boyfriend.

Knuckles: "Aww, come on, Julie-Su! Gimme one good reason why I shouldn't fight in this battle."

Julie-Su: "I can give two, Knuckles! One, you don't possess the power of a Chaos Emerald anymore. And two, you could really get hurt."

Knuckles: "I recall ending up a lot worse than hurt when I had the Chaos Energy right at my fingertips!"

Julie-Su: "A lot worse than hurt? You ended up dead, Smarty-Pants! Only a miracle brought you back to life and I, for one, want you to around!"

Knuckles: "Okay! Okay! Don't kill me!"

Knuckles laughs as he takes a playful punch from his girlfriend.

Julie-Su: "Seriously, Knuckles. I'm worried."

Knuckles: "Don't be, Julie-Su. I'm not going anywhere. Trust me. Besides, with the muscle we got on our side, there's no reason to worry!"

The two walk through a door to the other room.

Julie-Su: "Wh-what's Amy doing?"

Knuckles: "Warming up."

On the floor, Amy is sitting with her legs crossed in Indian position. She had her hammer over her legs. Energy basically danced around her. D'Coolette then walked inside.

Julie-Su: "General D'Coolette! Is it time?"

General D'Coolette: "Oui, oui, mes braves. Zee robotic horde eez now approaching our location from zee Badkands!"

Knuckles: "Okay. Is Vector in place?"

Outside, Vector wore headphones over his ears as he held a disk in his hands. He takes the disk out of its container.

Vector: "Aw, yeah. Robotnik's crew is about to get a serious beat down. And in the true sense of the word. And I know just the old school track to hit 'em with."

In front of the crocodile was a disk player. On either side were giant speakers hooked up to the player.

Knuckles: "Are we ready to get this party started, Vec?"

Julie-Su: "Those bots are marching full steam towards Robotropolis!"

Vector: "Are we? You all wearin' your headphones tight?"

They all nod.

"Good! 'Cause I'm about to bring the noise!"

Vector placed the record in the player and started the music as the robot army approached. Then the crocodile smirked before the speakers let out a massive eruption of sound which blows them back.

Vector: "How's that for keepin' it on wax?"

Castle Acorn...

At the Technolo-Tree, the Acorns and Sonic's family watch Sonic's fight with Eggman. They also saw an infected Sharr firing at and chasing after a terrified Tails.

Sally: "Mom... Dad... ADAM is in control of Robotnik's atomic launch, his robot army, and Shard! What are we going to do?"

King Max: "Princess Sally is right, sir Charles. We have to act."

Chuck: "Not to worry, King Max. This might be a blessing in disguise, since ADAM's attention is now split three ways!"

Old Megaopolis Harbor...

Back at the harbor, Tails flew the Tornado through the air as he did his best to maneuver around Shard.

Shard (ADAM): "I am ADAM, Tails. I ascertain no reason for your continued existence."

Tails: "SONIC!! HEEELP!!"

Back on the ship, Sonic glared at Eggman as he grabbed his coat. He pins him against a pillar.

Sonic: "I'm only gonna say it once, Robuttnik. Make your pet virus stop!"

Dr. Eggman: "I can't, hero! He has a mind of his own!"

M began walking up to the two as Shard chased Tails.

Shard (ADAM): "Eleven point five seconds, and that is all I need to eradicate you from Mobius. Say your final words."

He aims his arm cannon and prepares a heat-seeking missile for launch. Tails grits his teeth as he flips and spins his plane around.

Tails: "Fine! Hey, ADAM!"

Down below, Sonic notices M approach him from behind.

Tails: "Why did the chicken cross the road?!"

Shard hesitates for a moment before ADAM makes him lower his arm cannon.

Shard (ADAM): "I do not know. Why would a domesticated farm foul traverse a public pathway?"

M kicks Sonic in the chin, sending him flying off of Eggman.

M: "You hurt Father."

Tails: "To get to the other side!"

Shard (ADAM): "Interesting. That would be technically be the chicken's base motivation..."

Back on the ship, M grabs Sonic and throws him into a jet.

M: "No one hurts Father!"

Robotropolis...

A SWAT-Bot aims a gun at Vector's speakers and blows them to pieces.

Vector: "That gave a whole new meanin' to the word 'boom box'! Those bots cold vaporized my favorite speakers, Knux!"

Knuckles: "Vec, if we survive thus attack, I'm sure King Maximillian will give you a brand new set! What's important is that you bought her time!"

Vector: "Bought who time?"

Knuckles smirks as he points towards a hill in front of them.

"Amy Rose!"

Said pink hedgehog holds her giant Piko-Piko Hammer over her shoulder as she glared at the robots. She then holds the hammer in both hands before charging at them.

Amy: "Okay, Bozo-Bots. This is coming from me to you... WITH LOVE!"

She swings her hammer at the robot army, destroying every SWAT-Bot in her reach.

Meanwhile...

"Say, ADAM, when's a good time to strike a match?"

Tails has been telling ADAM jokes for a few minutes now. The virus-controlled Shard hadn't yet realized that the twin-tailed fox was distracting him.

Shard (ADAM): "When in need of a flame."

Tails: "Guess ag--WHOA!! Look out!"

Both he and Shard move out of the way to avoid The Crusader.

Bunnie: "Y/N! LOOK OUT!!"

Inside the ship, Y/n panics and moves the ship to the side. He narrowly avoids his 'son' and the boy genius, his eyes wide.

Bunnie: "That was Tails' Tornado and Shard! But why were they up here so high by themselves?"

Y/n: "I don't know, but something feels wrong. Bunnie, take the controls and get us close to the ship! I feel like Eggman has something to do with this."

Down back at the ship, M jumps up at Sonic to attack him.

Dr. Eggman: "Oh, Sonic, how rude of me! Meet Mecha! I call her M for short! She's another one of my creations, but unlike her 'brother', ADAM, M was no mistake. I designed her with a true sense of purpose."

Sonic gets punched in the face by Eggman's 'daughter'.

Dr. Eggman: "You see ADAM is 'software', and as you're learning firsthand, M is definitely 'hardware'."

The mad doctor chuckles and M picks up Sonic.

"And, though they're both my 'children'..."

Eggman's robotic daughter tosses the Blue Blur overboard and into the sea.

"... M takes after 'Daddy' more!"

Castle Acorn...

Everyone watches in horror as Sonic crashes into the water.

Sally: "SONIC!!"

Bernadette: "Oh, no!"

Sally: *crying* "B-but... he can't swim..." *wipes away tears and walks away* "I can't stand here and watch this happen! I'm going to Old Megaopolis!"

Bernadette: "Oh, dear..."

King Max: "Sally, please..."

His daughter doesn't listen and walks to the door. However, the two guards step between her and the exit.

Sally: "Why are you blocking the exit? I order you both to move at once!"

King Max: "Sally, you're a royal princess and simply can't charge into battle alongside Sonic the way you used to."

Queen Alicia: "Our kingdom is at war and you can't go chasing behind enemy lines. It's far too dangerous."

King Max: "And too much is at stake."

Queen Alicia: "Please, sweetheart, you must listen to logic."

Sally: "... okay..."

Tears fall from the princess' eyes as she accepts her parents' decision.

The Badlands...

Back in the Badlands, dozens upon dozens of fallen SWAT-Bots litter the ground. Amy Rose, completely exhausted, was sitting on a bench with a tired look in her eyes.

Knuckles: "Amy, are you okay?"

Amy: "I will be, Knuckles..."

Knuckles: *smiles* "Your Piko-Piko Hammer wiped out almost half of Robotnik's bots, kid."

Amy: "Really?"

Knuckles: "Yeah, but the rest of 'em are regrouping on the horizon. You up for another round?"

Amy stands up with a smirk as she lifts up her hammer.

"You can count on me!"

Knuckles: "Great! We can use all the help help can... get?"

A large shadow passes over the Mobians who all look up to see a helicopter.

Mighty: "Who the--?"

Julie-Su: "Look, everyone!"

The helicopter lands on the ground, along with...

Knuckles: "Rouge the Bat?! What brings you here?"

The bat walks up to the Guardian as soldiers step out of the helicopter.

Rouge: "Station Square's president has sent me, and the commandos of GUN, to give you guys a hand, Knuckles!"

Old Megaopolis Harbor...

Back at the harbor, Eggman looks down in the water. He then turns to his 'daughter'.

"M?"

"Yes, Father?"

"I want to see a body."

"Yes, Father."

Mecha dives into the water in search for Sonic. However, a familiar grim voice catches Eggman's attention.

"You never could do your own dirty work, could you, Eggman?"

Dr. Eggman: *turns around* "Th-that voice!"

Standing before Eggman was none other than Shadow the Hedgehog himself.

Back in the water, M searched for Sonic. However, the blue hedgehog had already escaped his would-be watery grave. He pulls himself up on to some docks by a broken wooden ladder.

Sonic: 'Okay, should've seen that coming. Got way too sloppy. Robotnik's taken his game to another level.'

Sonic gets on the docks and gets on his hands and knees. He coughs up water before standing up, using a wall nearby to support him.

Sonic: 'Taking him down is gonna be tougher than I thought! He's got some major Badniks on his side and I've gotta--"

Sonic stops when he sees a hand shoot up from the water and pull itself up. M steps on to the docks as she walks towards Sonic.

M: "Hello. Father said he wants to see a body."

Sonic: "'Father' can go to--"

M takes off her visors, making Sonic stop as he looks at her glowing blue eyes.

M: "Yes...?"

Sonic: "Uh-oh..."

However, before M could fire her laser beams, a shield hits her in the face and sends her stumbling back. The shield bounces off of the robot and flies back into the hand of its owner. A knight falls from the sky and lands between M and Sonic, lifting up his helmet to show (E/C) eyes.

Y/n: "Sorry to drop in. Thought a new friend of mine could use a hand."

M: "Captain Möbius."

Y/n: *stands to his feet* "So, Sonic. Wanna tag-team?"

Sonic: "I don't mind."

M: "Hmph. I will dispose of two of Father's biggest pains."

Y/n: "Sounds fun. Hey, question. Where's Zero?"

As if the universe was answering the question, a black-gloved hand shot up from underneath the docks and grabs Sonic's ankle. Before anyone could react, Sonic gets pulled back under the water to see a jackal in a mask.

Sonic: 'WHAT THE--?!'

"Hello, Sonic."

"Pleasure to finally meet the Little Blue Hero."

Back on the docks, Y/n closes his helmet and faces M. He activates his Ring Blade.

"Oh, boy."

Man, that took a bit to get Y/n and Infinite back in, eh? But don't worry, they'll be some big action in the next chapter! Bye-bye!
