"We used to live on another planet. And on that planet laid an orb buried underground. With this orb, we're able to understand each other. In addition to that, as I said before, we naturally have the same powers as yours," Langua said to Runa.

Back with the Comono and the others...

"But each of us have a unique ability that can only be used when needed. I have the power to transfer thoughts into anyone's minds, Langua has the power to see things through the Amulet of Communication," Comono said to the Royal Guardians and Shadow.

With Langua...

"And you, Runa, have the power to seek souls when needed. But then, something tragic happened."

With Comono...

"Our planet was destroyed by the black hole. We lost our homes. We lost our needs. And worst of all, we lost everything. But we, the remaining Langcomns, had evacuated to the ship created by our own technology. The remains of the orb, food and water were with us, too. We all worked together to find a home to stay in."

Back with Langua...

"Until, finally, we encountered a part of this jungle where we allowed ourselves to make food from edible plants surrounding it. We made this place our home. This place, which we're currently in right now."

Back with Comono...

"For many years, we spent time building our homes. At the same time, some of the orb was used to forge into a sacred artifact."

With Runa...

"The Amulet of Communication?" Runa asked Langua.

"Yes, Runa. The Amulet of Communication," Langua said. "The very first chief named it. We made a promise to protect the amulet from the wrong hands. And we've been keeping that promise for years. Until one day..."

Back with Comono...

"Professor Lucas came in from another land to this one and asked for the amulet. Langua got so mad she ran off to her own bedroom. That time, I got to hear the rest of the details."

"Wait, Professor Lucas? Who's he? What are those details?" Clifton asked.

Just as Comono was about to speak up, a strong wind brushed everyone's faces. A few moments later, everyone turned to see a helicopter landing on a big space in front of the cell.

Back with Runa...

Runa's shocked eyes shot their directions towards Langua. No. No, it can't be him. He's a gentle and caring scientist to all of us. Plus, he treats me like a real father. There must've been a big misunderstanding at that time.

"And now, we're out there, hunting for the amulet. I'm yearning to get it back, for I made a promise to protect it from evil. The others are hesitant, but I keep telling them to focus on this mission," Langua concluded.

That's ridiculous. Please, stop getting carried away, Runa thought. Then, the rest of those words were said out loud. "Listen to me, Langua. I know there's a big misunderstanding when it comes to the Amulet of Communication," she said, her eyes reverting to her amulet, then back to Langua. "Maybe you might wanna look carefully, put pieces of a puzzle together and figure things out, not jumping to conclusions."

"I'll try, Runa. Sometimes, things that go my way can get completely carried away," Langua said.

After a few moments of silence, a faint sound of the helicopter rang in Runa's and Langua's ears.

Back with Leo and the others...

After the helicopter landed, the door slid open. Then, out came two G.U.N. agents. One of them was standing right at the door. The other peeked up behind the first.

The first G.U.N. agent waved his hand. "Hey! I heard you need some rescuing."

"Yes. About time. How did you know we were here?" Shadow asked the G.U.N. agents.

"We were called by New Commander Tower to go on a mission to rescue you and your companions from a group of glowing aliens. After that, we'll journey to where Hope is being held captive," the second G.U.N. agent answered.

"I see," Shadow said. "What happened to our Commander Tower?"

"Unfortunately, Commander Abraham Tower passed away because of old age. Our current commander is his son, Jonathan Tower," the second G.U.N. soldier said.

Shadow turned to the second G.U.N. soldier in shock. "Commander Tower is married?"

"Well, not really. Commander Abraham Tower found Jonathan when he was in a basket. So he adopted him and raised him as his own son," the first G.U.N. soldier said.

"I see," Shadow said.

In the background, you could see Clifton jumping up and down behind Shadow. "Um, hello?! I'm here, too, you know?!" he exclaimed.

Intellizo and Leo pushed Clifton's head down and shushed him. This sent Clifton back on the ground.

Just then, a familiar voice joined in.

"Who are they?!"

Everyone turned to see Langua and Runa.

Runa turned to the helicopter. Her eyes scanned the details of the helicopter. She could see the G.U.N. logo applied on the helicopter's side.

Runa turned to Langua and was about to speak up, but Shadow answered Langua's question. "That's G.U.N., also known as Guardian Units of Nations. I work there with Rouge, Omega and Hope."

"I see that now," Langua said.

Runa turned to the two G.U.N. agents in the helicopter. "I'm assuming you came to rescue us?"

"Of course, ma'am. We're here to rescue you and your companions," the first G.U.N. soldier answered. Then, his eyes were now on Comono in their corner. "Now, sir. Do you mind if you set them free for us?"

Comono nodded nervously. "Yes. Of course. After all, they're innocent."

"WHAT?!" Langua asked, glaring at Comono.

Comono's turned to Langua. "I'm sorry, sister. It's for the best," he said with an apologetically concerned expression.

With that, Comono used his spear to open the cell door the same way Langua did with Runa. Then, out came the Royal Guardians and Shadow.

As Shadow walked outside the cell, words escaped his mouth, "We have to go. Now."

"Shadow's right," Leo said. Then, he gestured the Royal Guardians, Runa and Shadow. "We all have to go find hope and save her from the Underworlders and the Eggman Empire." With that, he motioned his companions to go inside the helicopter.

First was Shadow, then Billie, then Bashiri, then Clifton, then Leo. Runa was the last to go in. Runa was about to take her first step inside the helicopter when she heard a thought in her head, Got room for one more?

Runa turned around to see none other than Comono. Oh, right. I almost forgot he can transfer thoughts into anyone's minds, she thought.

Then, Runa turned her head back to the helicopter. Her head started peaking in. On her right was a wide chair on each side. Four seats on her right were occupied by Shadow, the first G.U.N. agent, Bashiri and Intellizo. On the other side, another five were occupied by Clifton, Leo, Billie and the second G.U.N. agent.

In response, Runa asked the agents of G.U.N., "Can someone else go in the helicopter? We need all the extra help we can get."

"He's one of the glowing aliens, ma'am. He can't come with us," the second G.U.N. agent said.

"Really, Barton?" the first G.U.N. agent asked the second G.U.N. agent with a slight glare on his face. "You're not gonna include him here?"

"Yes, Tommy. Really," Barton said, turning to the first G.U.N. agent. "I was informed by the Commander that you are trapped in a cell provided by some glowing men. Or should I say, glowing aliens?"

"Never judge a book by its cover," Intellizo defended the Langcomns.

"It's true," Comono said, approaching the helicopter behind Runa.

"Comono and the other species may have an equal connection with me. Langua said so herself. She and the others have the same powers as I have," Runa said.

After that, the next thing everyone heard was Shadow's calm voice, "Let him come. I believe the Langcomns have a connection with Runa."

After a few hesitations, Barton groaned and nodded, "Alright. Let's bring him along, but we'll keep an eye on him."

"Don't worry, Sir Barton. I assure you. We are not that bad," Comono said.

With that, Runa and Comono stepped in the helicopter.

Runa sat on her seat beside Clifton. Farther away on Clifton's left side were Barton and Intellizo. On her right side were Comono, Leo, and Billie. Right ahead of her was Shadow and on his left was Tommy.

As Runa sat back, a sudden question she's curious about popped into her head. What could possibly make Comono join us in this helicopter?

Before answering herself, Jonathan Tower's face popped up on her far right. As a hologram.

Jonathan was a young boy with brown straight hair, fair skin and blue eyes. He was wearing the exact same outfit as Commander Abraham Tower.

"Well done, Tommy and Barton. You rescued Shadow and their company from the Langcomns." Jonathan caught a glimpse of Comono. "I see you brought a new companion."

"Yes, Commander Tower," Barton said.

"I see." Jonathan paused. "In today's mission, we are going to find out where Hope is being held captive. Once we know her location, we'll find a way to sneak inside and save her. Do not let yourself get caught."

"Yes, sir," Barton, Tommy and Shadow replied.

"Good. You're all dismissed," Jonathan said.

With that, the hologram was shut off.

Then, the two G.U.N. pilots drove the helicopter to a place where Hope could be found.

Soon after, the helicopter landed in the middle of the forest to rest for the night.

Everyone exited the helicopter. The two G.U.N. pilots went out first, then Intellizo, then Bashiri, then Tommy, then Shadow. Next was Barton, then Billie, then Leo, then Runa.

After they went out, the helicopter's engine slowly died down. Then, half of the group scattered around to collect firewood while the other half of the group stayed to set up the campsite.

The ones who would collect firewood were Runa, Barton and Bashiri. The ones who would stay to set up the camp were Leo, Shadow and Tommy.

A bit later on, Runa had collected a decent amount of firewood. Just as she was about to walk back to the campsite, a needle shot through her. "Agh," she muttered.

Runa ran her way back to the camp hurriedly. She planned to take the needle off immediately once she got there. Unfortunately, her plan failed.

After a few minutes of running hurriedly, Runa's body collapsed to the ground and everything blacked out.
