I sat next to Stygian in his room, sighing.

"I'm so bored..." I laid my head on his pillow. He smiled.

"We could go outside, if you want." He suggested. I looked outside and saw it was getting dark.

"It's getting dark, I don't want to." I replied, staring at the dark forest, eyes widening. Stygian smiled and wrapped a hoof around my small form. Sure, Stygian was short for a pony, but I was shorter. I loved it.

"I'm tired." He whispered in a cute voice, then yawned adorably. I grinned and laid down. He laid next to me.  I snuggled into his fluffy, uncloaked, chest and felt his hoof play with my mane. I smiled and closed my eyes.

"Tired?" He asked. I nodded and snuggled more. He pulled me closer. I fell asleep listening to his calm heartbeat.

I woke up in my room, panicking. I saw that my Hearth's Warming lights died, and my nightlight died. Did the power go out, or did my lights die? I tried to get used to the pure blackness of the dark, but was too scared to. I looked around, breathing heavily.

"Okay, take deep breaths, it's okay..." I thought to myself. I walked slowly to my door, glancing everywhere in the process. It felt like the darkness was closing in on me and I had no escape. I opened the door, running through the hallway of the Pillars' home-well,...castle? I ran into somepony, falling onto the floor. 

"Y/n? Is that you? I..can't see- here.." The pony used his magic to make some light appear, illuminating both our faces. In front of me, I saw Stygian. My eyes were wide already from fear, and my breathing increased.

"Stygian..." I gulped. He looked worried. "What is going on? Why did the lights go out?" I asked.  

"Somepony flew into a electricity pole." He answered. He wrapped his hoof around me, then brought me into a hug.

"Are you scared?" He asked. I slowly nodded. He smirked.

"Good...I am too. I am afraid of the dark,..mostly because of shadows..." He gently pushed me against the wall. I smiled.

"Oh, good. I'm not the only one!" I smiled more. He smiled more back, then leaned in to rest his forehead on mine. 

"Don't be scared. It's just the dark. And when you're with me, there will be light." He whispered in a low voice, making me blush.

"O-..Okay.." I whispered back to him. He kissed me on the lips, surprising me. I kissed back, then felt him nip at my lip. My face flushed darker, and I slightly opened my mouth. When we pulled apart, we were both panting, our eyes were half closed. He pecked my neck softly, making me sigh a little.

"The shadow claims you." He said before walking off into the darkness. Then the power turned on again.

"Uh, Y/n, why are you sitting against the wall." Flash Magnus asked.

"What? Who? Me? Haha, you must be seeing things!" I quickly stood up. He shrugged and flew off.
