Star Swirl's Pov

I was with my best friend, Y/n, studying the power of the Pony of Shadows. Sure, Stygian could just tell us how powerful he was when in the monster... but he was far away at his home.

"It says here, if you place (this is all made up, I have no ideas) an inkwell in a ring drawn in dirt with black candles, we can summon the monst-" I put my hoof on Y/n's mouth.

"There's no way in heck we're going to summon that monster again! It's far too dangerous... and I don't want to lose you." I said with a small blush on my face.

"...well...okay then. If you say so, Beardo." She replied. It seems like she got closer to me after I said I didn't want to lose her.

Y/n's Pov

After Swirl Star- ahem...Star Swirl said he didn't want to lose me, I gladly moved closer to his side. I felt his warmth and to be honest...it felt pretty good. I wrapped my hooves around him and smiled.

"So warmmm...~" I mumbled. I felt him get warmer, probably in embarrassment. But, before I even knew it, I felt his hooves wrap around me. I grinned.

"Hey, Star?" I started.

"Yes, N/n?" 

"Can I tell you something I rather not say...?" 

"Of course."

"I've liked you ever since we were in magic school... and not in a friendly way. I love you." I whispered, but of course seeing that we were hugging... he heard. He seemed to have froze after I said those 3 words. I love you.

"I...I-I love you t-too." He stuttered. How cute~! I pulled away from his shoulder to look at him. He was grinning.

"You do? But...you yelled at me earlier... and you acted like you ha-" 

"I only did those things because I was trying to keep my feelings in that I felt for you."

"Makes sense." 

Star kissed my cheek and smiled. I smiled back and hugged him again, except...longer.

"Hey guys, I- Oh my goodness, TWILIGHT COME HERE STAR SWIRL IS SHOWING HAPPINESS!" Spike yelled for the purple alicorn. Twilight came in and took a picture.

"Keeper!" She said and smirked.

"We're gonna leave you love birds alone now." She said and trotted off with Spike to probably hang the photo in her room. Along with all her other love bird pictures. Like, s/n/f/r (Ship name for Rainbow), and s/n/f/p (ship name for Pinkie). I was cut out of my thoughts when Star pecked my lips.

"Woah. What?" I asked.

"I said, I love you."

"I love you too."

Sorry it's so short. I have a docs appointment soon so I need to get ready and stuff. Bye, my dragons~
