Y/n's POV

It was the start of my favorite holiday. Christmas. I saw the beautiful fairy lights hanging just below the ceiling. I saw the pointy tree in the corner of the fairy light-lit room. I saw my friend Stygian head to the storage room. He looked super sad and over-all just depressed. Who on Earth can be depressed on such a lovely holiday?!  I heard some sounds in the storage room...is he crying? I knocked on the door with my little hoof, I was too little to reach the door knob.

"Stygie? A-are you in here? Let me in!" I whispered soothingly. My ears perked up when I heard the door lock. I pounded on the door as hard as I could, fear showing in my e/c eyes.

"Go away, Y/n. This is none of your business." He said sternly. I pounded harder, finally, I broke through. I saw him cutting himself with his horn. My ears were back and my eyes watered as they widened.

"S-Stygian....why?!" I gasped. He started to sob as I hugged him, or...most that I could, that is I am very tiny.

"Everypony hates me! I am worthless! All I deserve is pain and suffering in Limbo!!!!" He sobbed as he cut more and more. I hugged him tighter and whispered.

"Shh...You're not worthless...I love you. You absolutely do NOT deserve pain and suffering in Limbo! You deserve everything you could ever wish for. You deserve all the gifts. You matter to me." I said. He smiled and hugged me. He kissed me on the head and I kissed his cheek in a lovingly manner. <3

TIMMYSKIPPER about uh....15 minutes later?

Stygian seemed to be doing better. I wrapped up his hoof carefully and we were now sitting around the Christmas tree. I heard a little snap as the Christmas lights and fairy lights fell off the tree and fell on me. 

"S-Stygian...help..." I said as I was tangled up in the lights. The lights made my eyes light up. Stygian had a mischievous smirk on his face as he stepped closer to me. He wrapped the lights around him too, so we would be stuck together. 

"Well...." He started as I glared at the grey figure. "....I guess we're stuck here." I felt him get closer to me as he saw the fear in my eyes. He held me close to him and whispered soothing things to me. He spun with me in his hooves as the lights unravel around us. It seemed like everything stopped at that moment, or at least slowed down. Stygian smiled warmly at me as I blushed a bit from excitement. I jumped and knocked over a Christmas bulb.  It glittered and sparkled in the calmly lit room. I kept it up in the air for as long as I could until it broke in pieces on the hard wood floor. I grinned in embarrassment. Stygian smiled and knocked over a bulb and it broke too. I tilted my head.

"Why did you do that?" I asked. He smiled as he put his hoof around my back. 

"Because." He said with a half smirk. I smiled.

"Hey, can we open presents now?" I asked eagerly, looking at a pretty large present. Stygian nodded.

Stygian opened his first. It was a stuffed animal of him. It had button eyes and was super soft. He grinned and hugged it<3. 

"Thank you." He said.

"You're welcome! I got it for you because I saw you were really sad...so I thought maybe you need a friend." I explained. Stygian seemed super happy.

"Thank you for this, but I will not longer be needing magic for my cuts or anything. If you're around, or if I see this handsome boi," He looked at the plushy. "I won't hurt myself. Because I know someone cares." He said. I smiled and hugged him.

"Good, because you really worried me!" I told him as I tore open my gifts.

Ah...my favorite holiday. Christmas. Lights hanging up....presents under the tree....what's not to love about this day? Especially if you get to spend time with your favorite stallion. <3
