The beautiful town of Ponyville. Known to be the most peaceful town in all of Equestria, birds chirp as they fly past clouds, the sun shimmers down onto all of Ponyville and the glitters of the sky shine down on the Golden Oak Library as we see the leader of the Mane 7 come out of their window and it was none other than the studious Twilight Sparkle as she starts a beautiful song and dance number on this nice day.

Twilight Sparkle: ♪ Morning in Ponyville shimmers ♪

Inside the bedroom, she trots by the sleeping Spike's basket and levitates his blanket away.

♪ Morning in Ponyville shines ♪

Spike snaps awake, then lets his head flop onto the pillow. Outside, Twilight magically opens the front door, steps out, and closes it. She trots down peacefully and happily across Ponyville.

♪ And I know for absolute certain ♪

♪ That everything is certainly fine ♪

As the morning sun shines, Twilight goes across Ponvyille passes several ponies to then hop on a fountain and come across Mayor Mare.

♪ There's the Mayor en route to her office ♪

She then trots past a stallion hauling a couch on a cart, then the Quills and Sofas shop.

♪ There's the sofa clerk selling some quills ♪

Davenport: Morning, kid!

Twilight then reaches the restaurants in Ponyville.

Twilight Sparkle: ♪ My Ponyville is so gentle and still ♪

She then notices a mare, a stallion, and a waiter stallion over at a table and rushes over to them.

♪ Can things ever go wrong? ♪

♪ I don't think that they will ♪

Jumping onto the table, she does an impromptu flamenco dance and gets the waiter to do likewise, pleasing the out-of-towners greatly. The waiter and the stallion lower her to the ground and Twilight then trots blissfully and others start to fall in as Pegasi arc overhead her.

♪ Morning in Ponyville shimmers ♪

♪ Morning in Ponyville shines ♪

♪ And I know for absolute certain ♪

♪ That everything is certainly- ♪

???: ♪ Fine! ♪

Twilight got surprised of somepony finishing her song and she looks all around for the pony responsible for it.

Twilight Sparkle: Huh? Who said that?

???: *whistles*

Twilight looks to where the whistle came from and she instantly got a smile on her face when she sees that it was none other than (Y/N) who was on a roof and he also starts a song and dance number.

(Y/N) jumps off the roof and he flies out above all of Ponyville with a huge smile on his face.

(Y/N): ♪ Oh yeah! ♪

Tons of ponies out in all of Ponyville give awestruck smiles at (Y/N).

♪ All right ♪

He then lands besides Twilight and they start to dance with one another with (Y/N) taking Twilight's hoof and making her twirl around.

♪ Well, I don't show off, don't criticize ♪

♪ I'm just livin' by my own feelings ♪

He then notices two mares bickering at each other and immediately teleports to them.

♪ And I won't give in, won't compromise ♪

When the two mares hear (Y/N)'s song, they immediately stop fighting and smile at him.

♪ 'Cuz I only have a steadfast heart of gold ♪

He flies up in the air and slowly does a loop to then rocket forward through the sky.

♪ I don't know why, I can't leave though it might be tough ♪

♪ But I ain't out of control, just livin' by my word ♪

He sees a tiny little unicorn colt crying that it's ice cream melted on the ground and flies down to him.

♪ Don't ask me why, I don't need a reason ♪

He then uses his reverse spell to make the ice cream not melt in the first place and have it back in the colt's hooves as he became super happy.

♪ I got my way, my own way ♪

He then trots over and notices a nearby broom and takes it to pretend to play it like it's a guitar.

♪ It doesn't matter ♪

♪ Now what happens, I will never give up the fight ♪

He levitates the broom back to where it belongs before flying in the air once more.

♪ Long as the voice inside drives me to run and fight ♪

♪ It doesn't matter who is wrong and who is right ♪

He then notices Lyra Heartstrings and Bon Bon who were awestruck of (Y/N) and he shoots both of them a wink and a charming smile making both of the mares blush and let out silent dreamy sighs.

♪ Well I don't look back, I don't need to ♪

He lands on top of the town hall's roof and gazes out in all of Ponvyille amazed at it's view.

♪ Time won't wait and I got so much to do ♪

(Y/N) jumps up excited before he flies down and around the town hall in a (C/C) and (M/C) streak.

♪ Where do I stop now, it's all a blur and so unclear ♪

♪ Well, I don't know but I can't be wrong ♪

(Y/N) then stop flying in the air to let himself fall down straight to the ground to then have a group of ponies catch him and toss him up and down.

♪ It doesn't matter now what happens, I will never give up the fight ♪

♪ Long as the voice inside drives me to run and fight ♪

With one final toss in the air, (Y/N) flies up and faces the group to then give them a salute and they salute back to him.

♪ Place all your bets on the one you think is right ♪

He then runs to then cartwheel and do and backflip and lands on all four of his hooves which the ponies around him started clapping at his little gymnastic ability. He then sees Twilight once more smiling at him and runs on over to her to then take both of her hooves in his hooves making her blush.

♪ Oh, it doesn't matter now what happens, I will never give up the fight ♪

They then stand on both of their hind legs and spin around and around happily as the beautiful light of the sun shines down on both of them.

♪ Long as the voice inside drives me to run and fight ♪

♪ It doesn't matter who is wrong and who is right ♪

They stop spinning to stand back down on all four of their hooves to then wrap one another with a foreleg to hug affectionately.

♪ No, no no no ♪

Twilight Sparkle & (Y/N): ♪ It doesn't matter! ♪

With the song being finished, a gout of water falls from above and drenches every inch of the two ponies giving them annoyed looks. Twilight then glares up toward the sky.

Twilight Sparkle: Rainbow Dash, that's not funny!

Rarity: Terribly sorry, darling.

The sound of that refined voice, coupled with a thunder rumble brought both Twilight and (Y/N) shocked eyes as they both look over to see Rarity. She was standing on one of the bridges spanning the stream that borders Ponyville. She has her horn going and is trying to move several storm clouds around in the sky, with little success. . . but something was different about her.

Rarity: I'm afraid I'm. . . I'm not good with the thundery ones.

(Y/N): Rarity, why are moving clouds? Isn't that supposed to be Rainbow Dash's job.

Rarity: Not at all, darling. It's what I'm actually meant to do.

(Y/N) was confused by that before he sees something on Rarity that gave him a sharp gasp in extreme shock.

Twilight Sparkle: What's wrong, (Y/N)?

(Y/N): L-L-L-Look at Rarity's flank!

Twilight looks at the said place and when she did, she got the exact same reaction that (Y/N) had. . .

On Rarity's flank, the three blue gems of her Cutie Mark have been replaced by Rainbow Dash's cloud and lightning bolt.

Twilight Sparkle: Something tells me everything is NOT going to be fine.

They both run up to Rarity to witness what she was doing and the clouds that she was controlling are behaving badly, dropping rain in some places and snow in others.

(Y/N): Rarity! What's happened?! Why do you have Rainbow Dash's Cutie Mark?!

Rarity: Whatever do you mean (Y/N)? This is MY Cutie Mark. And I've been doing it ever since the first day that's it's appeared.

(Y/N): First day? That "first day" had to have been today, since I saw you with your Cutie Mark with three diamonds the last time I saw you.

Rarity: I've been doing this every since I got a Cutie Mark, (Y/N).

Sunlight starts to shine down through a few openings in a cloud cover. Rarity then arranged the clouds into a checkerboard pattern.

Rarity: Does my sky look fabulous or what?

"Or what?" is probably the correct answer as tons of ponies were walking on the bridge and started to suddenly complain about the sudden change to random stormy weather.

Rarity: Too last season?

Twilight Sparkle: Where is Rainbow Dash? Why isn't she handling this?

Rarity: The last time I saw Rainbow Dash, she was over at her cottage trying to calm down some of the rowdy animals that she has been having to deal with.

(Y/N): Rainbow Dash's cottage? You mean Fluttershy's cottage, right?

Rarity: Sorry, darling. I don't recall Fluttershy ever having a cottage. She's actually at Sugarcube Corner right now as we speak.

Twilight then turns to (Y/N) with a worried look.

Twilight Sparkle: Rainbow Dash's cottage? Fluttershy at Sugarcube Corner? I think we're about to expect what I think we are about to expect.

(Y/N): Me too. Go get Spike. I'll meet you two out in the meadowlands.

Twilight nods as she runs off to go and get her dragon assistant while trying to avoid getting drenched by the stormy weather in the process.

Once Twilight got the sleepy dragon to wake up from his sleep in the library, he along with Twilight and (Y/N) were now walking through a tract of meadowland outside the town proper.

Spike: *yawns* I still don't know what you had to wake me up for. I love sleeping in the rain.

(Y/N): It's not about the weather, Spike. Something weird is going on with our friends and we don't know exactly what it is yet.

Twilight Sparkle: All we know is that Rarity had Rainbow Dash's Cutie Mark and she said that she lives in this cottage which really belongs to Fluttershy.

They approach Fluttershy's cottage and once they got up, muffled animal noises could be heard inside.

(Y/N): I can't even imagine Rainbow Dash even wanting to live somewhere like here. We've known her to be the more outgoing type of pony, not a zoologist.

Twilight Sparkle: Well, time to see what's going on with her.

Twilight knocks on the front door to the cottage and the pony who opens to answer was none other than Rainbow Dash. She looks about one good scare away from a full nervous breakdown.

Rainbow Dash: Hey, guys.

(Y/N): Rainbow Dash, how come your here at Fluttershy's cottage?

Rainbow Dash: . . .Cause it's where I'm supposed to be right now.

Twilight Sparkle: Well, why is Rarity doing your job?

A crash from inside sends Rainbow diving back in and makes (Y/N) raise an eyebrow.

(Y/N): What was that?

(Y/N) opens the door fully and him, Twilight, and Spike have their eyes pop wide open as they all look inside to see something that shouldn't ever be happening at Fluttershy's cottage.

All of the animals around the place were in total chaos as seemingly every critter Fluttershy has ever taken care of is running amuck and paying no attention to Rainbow's herding efforts.

(Y/N): This can't be happening?! First some weird storm clouds fill up the sky and now the cottage has a bunch of wild animals running around!

Twilight Sparkle: Not only that, look!

Twilight points to Rainbow Dash's flank and he sees that she had three butterflies on it that belonged to Fluttershy.

Twilight Sparkle: Our friends Cutie Marks are all mixed up. . . why?

(Y/N): Rainbow Dash! What is going on here?!

Rainbow grabs Pinkie Pie's alligator Gummy and stuffs him in a birdcage.

Rainbow Dash: ♪ These animals don't listen, no, not one little bit ♪

A duck and raccoon run around her, spinning her dizzy, and a cat shreds the curtains and hisses at her.

♪ They run around out of control and throw their hissy fits ♪

♪ It's up to me to stop them, 'cause plainly you can see ♪

She flies up after a bird and it dives into a mouse hole, which she slams into face first into as she falls back into a dazed haunch-sitting position, and looks at her mixed up Cutie Mark.

♪ It's got to be my destiny, and it's what my Cutie Mark is telling me ♪

Twilight and (Y/N) exchange worried glances at each other.

At Sugarcube Corner, the two ponies trot up and walk inside to see the yellow Pegasus on the shop floor inside and through the gathering of unimpressed onlookers. She has picked up Pinkie Pie's three-balloon mark, and her attempt at a balloon animal gets no farther than blowing the balloon up and letting it hiss out of her grip. She forces a smile onto her face and dons a set of Groucho Marx joke glasses.

Fluttershy: ♪ I try to keep them laughing, put a smile upon their face ♪

♪ But no matter what I try, it seems a bit of a disgrace ♪

She ditches the glasses and blows a noisemaker, which instantly goes limp

♪ I have to entertain them, it's there for all to see ♪

The crowd looks elsewhere and laughs because Spike has put on the glasses and it dancing stupidly, to Twilight's great chagrin and (Y/N)'s half eyed glare. Fluttershy then looks at her wrong Cutie Mark as well.

♪ It's got to be my destiny, and it's what my Cutie Mark is telling me ♪

The journey was then on to Sweet Apple Acres as Twilight, (Y/N), and Spike walk toward the main gate and once they all got to the farm, they see Pinkie shaking a tree. She now bears Applejack's Cutie Mark, her mane and tail have gone completely straight, and she sings with a bit of a Southern accent. One fruit drops loose and conks her on the head and next she tries to push a plow with her head, but slips and falls on her face.

Pinkie Pie: ♪ I don't care much for pickin' fruit and plowin' fields ain't such a hoot ♪

She then scrambles around in a fruitless attempt to repair a bent downspout on the barn.

♪ No matter what I try, I cannot fix this busted water chute! ♪

It breaks under her weight, dumping her into a full rain barrel. Now she hauls a cartload of caged chickens through the orchards. One bounces out of its pen, pecks her on the head, and lays an egg there.

♪ I've got so many chores to do, it's no fun being me ♪

Bucking a tree gets her just a small scatter of apples, all of which miss the tub she is holding up and find her head instead, knocking her down. She then looks at her wrong Cutie Mark as well.

♪ But it has to be my destiny, 'cause it's what my Cutie Mark is telling me ♪

Onwards onto Carousel Boutique as Applejack is on a sewing machine needle stitching a piece of fabric doing a bad job at it. She holds up the cloth to fill the screen, revealing a measuring tape across her shoulders.

Applejack: ♪ Lookie here at what I made, I think that it's a dress ♪

It wasn't as it poorly fits on the pony mannequin, patched, uneven lace hem and collar. She has acquired Rarity's Cutie Mark to supplant her own.

♪ I know it doesn't look like much, I'm under some distress ♪

She plops a hat onto another dummy draped in a patchwork of fabrics.

♪ Could y'all give me a hand here and help me fix this mess? ♪

A feathered headdress goes on a third, whose outfit is made from a flour sack. She goes back to the sewing machine only to get it jammed and she looks at her wrong Cutie Mark.

♪ My destiny is not pretty, but it's what my Cutie Mark is tellin' me ♪

Back to where they started, Rarity on a hill outside Ponyville, under a maelstrom of gray clouds that quickly resolves into her out-of-control checkerboard pattern.

Rarity: ♪ I'm in love with weather patterns, but the others have concerns ♪

Sunbeams wash out to three ponies who have gone beet-red from sunburn. A sudden burst of snow then flurries covers them end to end.

♪ For I just gave them frostbite over top of their sunburns ♪

The entire panorama contracts to a small white circle against a black field, top left corner to show Rarity.

♪ I have to keep on trying, for everyone can see ♪

Rarity & Rainbow Dash: ♪ It's got to be ♪

Fluttershy fades in, bottom right, and takes off her Groucho glasses.

Fluttershy: ♪ It's got to be ♪

Pinkie appears, bottom left, then Applejack, top right, taking off her hat.

Pinkie Pie: ♪ My destiny ♪

Applejack: ♪ My destiny ♪

Rainbow Dash then appears, center.

Rarity, Rainbow Dash & Fluttershy: ♪ And it's what my Cutie Mark ♪

Pinkie Pie & Applejack: ♪ It's what my Cutie Mark ♪

One by one, they slide into view from alternating top and bottom each Cutie Mark replaced by the pony who now possesses it. Only one side of each is visible within a panel, so that the images appear to form three mares with mismatched halves. One straight panel forms above all of them to show (Y/N) over them all.

Mane 5: ♪ Yes, it's what my cutie mark is telling me! ♪

Twilight just leans out past the split between her panel and Applejack's and shoots a puzzled sidelong glance at the others before looking at (Y/N)'s panel who had the same look. All seven panels pivot about invisible vertical axes and disappear.

Back in reality with (Y/N), Twilight, and Spike, they were all just so confused that this is what their Cutie Marks are telling them.

(Y/N): This doesn't make any sense. How can one pony's Cutie Mark be the same one day and just swapped with somepony else the next day?

Twilight Sparkle: I don't know. Nothing bad seemed to have happened yesterday that I can think of.

Twilight then puts her hoof to her chin to think hard on why might this situation be happening with the five's Cutie Marks being swapped. It took her a minute, but he then goes wide eyed and gasps.

Twilight Sparkle: Or maybe it did!

Spike: What do you mean?

Twilight Sparkle: Follow me!

Twilight runs off with (Y/N) and Spike following her and they go all the way to the Golden Oak Library.

At the Golden Oak Library, the door instantly swings open under a burst of her magic by Twilight, and she trots in hurriedly to stop on the mat.

Twilight Sparkle: This is bad. This is very, very bad.

She then enters inside followed by (Y/N) and Spike.

(Y/N): Twilight, what's going on? Do you know why our friends Cutie Marks are swapped?

Twilight crosses over to a case, that has the Elements of Harmony contained within it.

Twilight Sparkle: Yes! Apparently, it was just last night and I didn't realize it! Spike was just taking one of his seven-hour bubble baths, and right after you left the library after we read for some time, I got a special delivery from the princess.

(Flashback)

Twilight is seen at the front door of the library with a delivery stallion who passes over a package, which she takes in her magic. She walks back in, closing the door and ignoring the clipboard he has held out for a signature. More telekinesis opens the package and brings out a scroll and a book to read it.

Twilight Sparkle: "Dear Twilight Sparkle, The spell contained on the last page of this book is Star Swirl the Bearded's secret unfinished masterpiece."

She gasps happily and floats the book up to eye level.

Twilight Sparkle: Ooh! "He was never able to get it right, and thus abandoned it. I believe you are the only pony who can understand and rewrite it. Take the time that you need to figure it out, but you should know that (Y/N) will also be your key if you want to complete this spell as well. Princess Celestia."

Letting the scroll drop, she positions the book in front of herself and flips pages until she gets to the end. The lights in the reading room dim, leaving her and the Elements' case to stand out.

Twilight Sparkle: "From one to another, another to one. A mark of one's destiny singled out alone, fulfilled."

She has her back to the case, and thus does not notice the tiara's star jewel and the crown's heart gem start to glow on the end of this. They both throw off a burst of light, affecting the five necklaces and causing their gems to cycle through each other's colors.

Twilight Sparkle: That doesn't make any sense. It doesn't even rhyme!

Each pony's original jewel has changed to the color of the one whose mark she has acquired. Still not noticing, Twilight yawns expansively and trots off up the stairs to go to sleep.

(End of Flashback)

Twilight Sparkle: I cast the spell so I could find out what it was, but nothing seemed to happen. But now I know something DID happen. The spell has changed the Elements of Harmony! That must be why their Cutie Marks are all wrong!

Spike: So just cast a counter-spell to switch them back.

She leafs through the book she got yesterday, but to her luck she found no possible solution.

Twilight Sparkle: Oh. There is no counter-spell!

Spike: Why don't you just use that memory spell you used to fix everypony when Discord was here?

(Y/N): Spike, that wouldn't work either! Discord made eveypony forget their memories and have them see a different goal as their alternate selves! This is their TRUE selves that we have to fix!

Spike: Zecora's cure for the Cutie Pox?

(Y/N): Hence the term "Cutie Pox." That won't work either.

Twilight then despondently closes the book and floats it into Spike's grip. The pattern of stars and swirling lines confirms that it is the book Princess Luna briefly conjured up at when the Mane 7 left after completing their task at the Crystal Empire.

Spike: Uh. . . then what about you, (Y/N)? Isn't there any combat spells that can cure the others?

(Y/N): What?! Of course not! And also how would a combat spell help in this situation?!

Twilight Sparkle: *sighs* Then I guess we're out of luck.

(Y/N) notices that Twilight is a little dejected and goes up to put a hoof on her shoulder.

(Y/N): Don't worry, Twilight. We've just got to find out how to fix them.

Twilight doesn't look back at (Y/N) however, and she pushes his hoof away gently before turning away and solemnly walking up the steps.

(Y/N): Twilight?

Twilight Sparkle: *voice breaking* That's the thing, (Y/N). We can't. I don't even know how. Our friends are not who they are meant to be anymore. Their destinies are now changed, and it's all my fault.

Spike walks up to (Y/N) who could only gaze wordlessly at Twilight after she solemnly walks up the steps. (Y/N)'s ears lay flat as he just walks over to sit on a chair with a sad frown.

Twilight goes into her room where she lies glumly on her belly atop the bed and the area is lit only by the shaft of halfhearted sun coming in through the window from the rainy gray sky.

Twilight Sparkle: ♪ I have to find a way ♪

She looks outside of her window.

♪ To make this all okay ♪

At Sweet Apple Acres, the trees and crops have withered. Pinkie tries to buck a tree, its branches bare except for one leaf that blows away.

♪ I can't believe this small mistake ♪

♪ Could've caused so much heartache ♪

A sodden-maned Rarity is then seen trudging down a street and she cringes at the sight of an angry mare at a window slamming the shutters closed. She is alone on the block, under the checkered sky.

♪ Oh why, oh why? ♪

At the Carousel Boutique's ground-floor showroom and its deplorable new line of clothing. One window on the opposite wall has been boarded up, and Applejack has already put several boards across these panes, and she adds one more.

♪ Losing promise ♪

♪ I don't know what to do ♪

Rainbow Dash is then seen sitting dejectedly among the animals running wild at the cottage.

♪ Seeking answers ♪

♪ I fear I won't get through to you ♪

Fluttershy is then seen sitting at the edge of the fountain in the town square amid a lot of ponies in very bad moods. She hunkers down miserably at her inability like the rest.

♪ Oh why, oh why? ♪

She then lowers her head into her forelegs and cries silently.

Twilight Sparkle: What have I done?

Back down in the library, (Y/N) was sitting down on a desk solemnly thinking about Twilight. He just sighs while staring out at the melancholy weather that was happening outside. Spike sees this and looks upstairs before back to (Y/N) and he walks up to him.

Spike: (Y/N), you've got to go up there and talk to Twilight.

(Y/N): I don't think I can. . . not this time, buddy. You heard her, she knows nothing on how to fix this and neither do I, this spell is just going to have to run it's endless course.

Spike then walks up and puts a claw on (Y/N)'s shoulder.

Spike: But your friends are out there with talents that they're not supposed to have and if seeing how it is right now, if this continues then. . . who's knows what'll happen.

(Y/N): You say that like I don't know that's happening, but I do! I know my friends are out there failing at what their Cutie Mark is telling them! But this isn't something that I know the knowledge of! I'm mostly around to spread the positive out to everypony that's here in all of Ponvyille and protect them as well, but this is something on another level.

Spike then narrows his eyes at (Y/N) when he said that.

Spike: What are you talking about? No, it isn't. Look around, the ponies of Ponyville are in disharmony because of an unfinished spell and it's up to somepony to help them.

(Y/N): . . .

Spike: And it's got to be you and Twilight, (Y/N). Remember what you said to me back when we saved the Crystal Empire?

(Y/N) remembers that as he get's a puzzled look and faces Spike.

Spike: You told me that if I didn't get the Crystal Heart to Princess Cadance then the whole empire would've been doomed. In the end, it may have been me who finished the test, but to me, it was ultimately you who helped me out, (Y/N).

(Y/N) was surprised that Spike of all ponies. . . or dragon is trying to motivate him.

Spike: And now it's got to be you who helps Twilight see that you two can fix this. You're the legendary Element of Heroism, (Y/N). The element that's more powerful than all of the six combined. So, I'm sure with you're abilities, you should be able to get Twilight to know that she'll be able to fix this like she always does.

(Y/N) looks outside then back up at the stairs and still hears some quiet sobbing coming from Twilight and breaths in and out before turning to Spike.

(Y/N): Okay. . . I'll try, but. . . I have no idea on what I should even say to her. She just seems so depressed and ashamed that. . . I need to find the exact words to tell her that we can help our friends.

Spike looks up to where her room is and thinks for a minute before a thought came into his head making him blush and he twiddles his thumbs contemplating whether he should do this or not. However, seeing that there is no real time to be even trying to think about it, he sighs knowing that it's needed to help Twilight.

Spike: I'll be right back.

Spike then runs on over to another area in the library and (Y/N) watches him go off, a couple of objects could be seen thrown back in the library such as rubber ducky, a hole puncher, and a fork.

He then comes back to (Y/N) to show him a book that he had which was lavender like Twilight's mane and it had her Cutie Mark symbol in the middle of it with a purple strap wrapped around it and it had a lock on it. He shows it to (Y/N) who only raises an eyebrow at it.

(Y/N): Is that. . . Twilight's?

Spike: Yeah. . . it's. . . it's her diary.

(Y/N) was shocked from that.

(Y/N): Her diary?

Spike: Y-Yeah, and I know she might get angry with me for showing this to you without her permission, but. . . I feel like you should see this.

Spike then snorts a small flame onto the lock of the diary which makes it melt a bit as it gave Spike the ability to now open the book.

Spike: She told me that one day she would want to say to these things to you, but she could never find the right way, words, or place to even tell them to you.

Spike then flips to a page and he smiles that it looks like that he's found the correct one that he was looking for.

Spike: It's here. . . read this.

(Y/N) was a little reluctant to read something Twilight has considered private, but he knew that Spike knew her a little better than he did, so it was right to trust him. He levitates the book and makes it face towards him and looks at the page that Spike was referring and starts to read it.

(Y/N): "I could read a thousand words in a book, but it would all be meaningless. I could write something so big that everypony would take a look, but to all of them it would be senseless. A friend that's very close to me has told me since day one we met that they care about me. But he says this in a way that he knows that's it not just me in this world that he's protecting. I wanted to show my friends this on Hearts and Hooves Day, but. . . something happened that day that I just can't describe to probably anypony. Me and him have done so many things together that probably nopony else may even get the chance to. He's my best friend, he's my partner, he's my companion, he's my. . . hero."

Tears were welling up in (Y/N)'s eyes as this is how Twilight truly feels about him. He continues to read the rest.

(Y/N): "Sure, he may not be the smart one like me, but he sure is somepony that I can count on. He's somepony that I hope I can see for eternity. He's somepony that I could make a million words to describe. . . and yes, I do mean literally. But let me tell you this, my greatest dream. . . is to have the best relationship that I ever can with him. To be his best friend forever, and for him to be mine, we always support one another, and we gives things a try no matter what obstacle stands upon us. But listen, somepony may just ask me this one question, if you could name one pony in this world that means the most to you, who would it be? Well. . . . . . I'll cry when I say this. . . it's not only my friends, but. . . this one amazing stallion that I know. . . his name would be. . . (Y/N) (L/N)."

Tears were coming out of (Y/N) eyes that were of joy from hearing this is how much Twilight cares about him. He looks back up the steps and smiles in that direction. Spike had a tear coming out of his eye as well and he walks up to (Y/N).

(Y/N): *sniffles* Twilight. . .

Spike: Go on. You know what to say to her.

(Y/N) wipes his tears away and gives a determined smile at Spike and nods. His friends are out there with mixed up Cutie Marks and it's up to him and Twilight to figure out how to fix and finish the spell that's mixed them all up. But he's got to first tell Twilight the right words in order to get to see that there will and is a way to help their friends get their Cutie Marks again.

(Y/N) places the diary down and walks up the stairs to go and see Twilight in her room. Once he get's there, he sees that she's still just staring outside witness that sad looking precipitation that Rarity is causing because of her switched up Cutie Mark. He sighs seeing that she's still looks down and walks up to her.

(Y/N): Hey, Twilight.

Twilight Sparkle: *sighs* . . .Hey, (Y/N).

(Y/N): Still wondering if there will be a way to finish the spell?

Twilight Sparkle: No, because there isn't.

(Y/N): Twilight. . .? What do you mean there isn't?

Twilight Sparkle: There isn't! There can't, and will never be a way to finish it! Princess Celestia sent that package to me thinking that I can finish something that Star Swirl The Bearded himself made, but I can't! He's the one who made the spell! What could Princess Celestia possibly that a unicorn like myself could do to finish a spell that was made a ton of moons ago!?

(Y/N) was surprised at Twilight raises her voice a little, but he takes a deep breath in and out before he speaks to her.

(Y/N): Twilight, Princess Celestia would have never sent that spell to you for no big reason or just to see us fail. She knows for a fact that we can finish it.

Twilight Sparkle: How?! The Elements of Harmony are all mixed up because of me! It was my fault that I even started to even use the spell!

Tears started to come out of Twilight's eyes once again and she slams her hoof down in frustration.

Twilight Sparkle: I don't know if you came to me in order to talk me into trying to help see that there is a way to fix all of this, but I'm going to tell you one thing, (Y/N). There! Isn't! You can say that there is all you like, but there isn't and there never will be!!

(Y/N): TWILIGHT!

Twilight turned her face a little towards (Y/N) and realized that she's taking her anger out on him which wasn't right. She sniffles before crying and she faces back outside.

Twilight Sparkle: *sobbing* I'm sorry. . . I'm. . . I'm just so ashamed.

(Y/N) then walks forward and sits down next to Twilight and gives her a sympathetic look. He wraps a foreleg around her to pull her in closer and Twilight simply hugs (Y/N) and cries on his chest and (Y/N) returns it as well.

(Y/N) looks out of the window and looks up at the sky and looks at the weather outside. Once he does however, a vision comes into his eyes of some (F/C) lightning that spread out back in his original home Earth. Seeing this vision also reminds (Y/N) of the time he noticed another vision of when he saw Fluttershy crying and the time that he discovered his dark aura back to when he got angry with Applejack the time that they first met Zecora. However, all of those memories coming into his mind now remind of what happened in his past. . . well, most of it.

(Y/N): (So, that's what happened. Well. . . it's my turn to tell Twilight that I'll always be here for her.)

(Y/N) breaks the hug with Twilight for her to look down to the ground with a sad frown.

(Y/N): Can I tell you something?

Twilight then looks at (Y/N) straight in the eyes when he said that.

(Y/N): I. . . admitted to myself that I couldn't do something either one time.

Twilight Sparkle: Huh. . .?

(Y/N): Back on Earth and, I can't remember this fully, but. . . I know that one time, there was no one out there for me. And I mean besides my mother, there was no one at all. I was just. . . there. . . by myself. . . all alone with no friends and I didn't even hear a single peep, but crickets chirping in the area. It was one of the worst feelings I have ever felt. . . loneliness.

Twilight kept on listening on a little bit of (Y/N) was saying her, but so far it was just sad.

(Y/N): When I finally noticed what true loneliness felt like, I admitted to myself that. . . I really was all alone. . . forever. . . with no friends. Just like how you just admit to yourself that there is no way to finish Star Swirl's spell.

(Y/N) then gives a serious look back to Twilight.

(Y/N): But look where I am now. I've got you. I've got the other girls and Spike. True friends that really mean the world to me. And losing you girls would just make my life, Tartarus.

Twilight was surprised by that as she thinks she's getting what (Y/N) is saying to her.

(Y/N): Twilight, what I'm saying is that you can't just go and say that what seems impossible, is impossible. If I was the one who sent that letter to you, I would say these exact words as well. Sure, Princess Celestia could've sent that letter to anypony who's studious in magic, but she didn't. She sent it to us.

Twilight wipes her tears out of her eyes and get's a guilty look on her face, and (Y/N) then puts his hoof on her chin to make Twilight look at him.

(Y/N): I know what I'm saying may seem like it may not matter right now, but I need to ask you one question Twilight.

Twilight Sparkle: *sighs* Ask away.

(Y/N): What's your greatest dream. . . and I don't mean magic wise. What's the greatest dream, that your heart keeps telling you?

Twilight was confused by that as that threw her in a loop of thought.

(Y/N): *sighs* Okay, so that question was a little vague, but. . . let me say something that I think may give you the message.

(Y/N) puts his hoof down from Twilight's chin and holds both of her hooves in his own hooves making her blush.

(Y/N): (Here goes nothing. . .) *inhales* . . .I could meet a thousand ponies in Equestria, but it would all be meaningless. I could fight the most evil monster in the Everfree Forest, but it would just be senseless. . .

Twilight raises an eyebrow at that as that as it sounded kind of familiar to her.

(Y/N): Somepony I know said to themselves once that the fate of Equestria doesn't rely on them making friends. But she found out that it's exact key into what saves Equestria. Me and her have done so much together that nopony else may get the chance. She's my friend, she's my partner, she's my companion, she's my. . .

Twilight instantly gasps and her eyes widened as she puts her hoof to her mouth in shock for a second as she knows what (Y/N) is telling her now.

Twilight Sparkle & (Y/N): Hero. . .

(Y/N) smiles and nods at Twilight who also slowly get's a smile on her face that (Y/N) is saying the exact words that she wanted to tell (Y/N).

Twilight Sparkle/(Y/N): He's/She's somepony that I could make a million words to describe. . . and yes, I do mean literally. But let me tell you this, my greatest dream. . . is to have the best relationship that I ever can with him/her. To be his/her best friend forever, and for him/her to be mine, we always support one another, and we gives things a try no matter what obstacle stands upon us. But listen, somepony may just ask me this one question, if you could name one pony in this world that means the most to you, who would it be? Well. . . . . .

They both then start to sniffle a little with tears in their eyes.

Twilight Sparkle/(Y/N): I'll cry when I say this. . . it's not only my friends, but. . . this one amazing stallion/mare I know. . . his/her name would be. . .

They both then gives each other a tight hug as there was just one name to finish both of their sentences.

Twilight Sparkle/(Y/N): (Y/N) (L/N)./Twilight Sparkle.

They both held the hug with each other for a literally three minutes as this felt like an eternity to the both of them. However, they broke the hug after those three minutes as Twilight wipes her tears from her eyes and give (Y/N) a huge smile.

Twilight Sparkle: How did you know?

(Y/N) then goes wide eyed and rubs the back of his head in embarrassment.

(Y/N): Well, I hate to rat out Spike, but. . . he may have lent me a word or two.

Twilight then smirks with a smug look on her face.

Twilight Sparkle: A word or two?

(Y/N): *rolls eyes and smirks* Okay, the whole thing.

Twilight just giggles from that.

(Y/N): Still. . . Twilight, was what you said in there true?

Twilight get's a blush on her face with an embarrassment look before she looks away and nods shyly.

Twilight Sparkle: Yes, I meant every word.

Twilight continues to look away embarrassment, but not before something unexpected happened. . .

(Y/N) gives Twilight a kiss on the cheek.

Twilight gives a quiet gasp as she looks back at (Y/N) surprised before that expression turns into one of just being so happy. (Y/N) smiles back at Twilight.

(Y/N): That's how much I mean to you, huh?

Twilight Sparkle: Yes, it does. . . wait a second.

Twilight then get's a concerned look on her face.

(Y/N): What is it, Twi?

Twilight Sparkle: Mean to you. . . mean to you. . .

Twilight then gasps as an idea formed in her head.

Twilight Sparkle: *gasps* That's it! Come with me! I-I think I know what to do.

(Y/N) get's excited from that as they both gallop out of the room to go downstairs and (Y/N) follows her. Spike was surprised to see them both.

Spike: Oh, hey guys. Did you two find anything?

(Y/N): We think so.

Twilight Sparkle: No, (Y/N). We know so. Look.

Twilight points up to a photo on her foyer that includes all of the Mane 7.

Twilight Sparkle: Our friends mean more to us than anything.

(Y/N): *gasps* Now I get it too!

A nimbus of white light forms around the two as they smile. The light steadily grows in intensity and takes on both a violet and (C/C) edge. Spike shields his eyes from the light in confusion of what's happening.

Spike: Twilight? (Y/N)? Are you two alright?

A twinkling, immaterial gust of wind toys with their manes as they open their eyes, whose pupils display a slightly modified version of their Cutie Marks for a moment.

Twilight Sparkle & (Y/N): We've got it! We know what to do!

Spike: You do?

Twilight goes upstairs for a brief moment to grab the chest that Princess Celestia provided for her to hold the Elements of Harmony. She comes back down with it and opens it to have (Y/N) levitate five of them inside. He puts Twilight's tiara on her head and his crown on.

(Y/N): We may not be able to remind them of who they are, but we can show them what they mean to each other.

Twilight Sparkle: They'll find the part of themselves that's been lost so they can help the friend they care about so much!

Spike, catches the closed chest on his back when it was slung his way by (Y/N).

Twilight Sparkle: Come on, Spike!

Both of the ponies gallop out with Spike following them. However, Twilight stays behind for a second to tell Spike something.

Twilight Sparkle: Also, Spike?

Spike then goes wide eyed as he thought he was about to get scolded.

Spike: I-I-I didn't mean to Twilight! Honest! I-It was all to just-

Twilight Sparkle: Thanks.

Spike: Huh?

Twilight Sparkle: Thanks for showing (Y/N) that part in my diary.

Spike: Wait, really?

Twilight Sparkle: It was because of him that I was able to know exactly what we have to do know and you were the one who showed him that page I wrote. So, thanks Spike. You really helped a bunch this time.

Spike smiles from this, but not before Twilight angrily get's up in his face surprising him.

Twilight Sparkle: But no more going through MY private stuff without my permission, understand?

Spike: *quickly* Yes! Affirmative! Capiche!

Twilight then smiles and pats him on the head before gesturing him to follow her with he does.

Outside in the melancholy Ponyville, Fluttershy is seen dragging a set of saddlebags in her teeth toward a hot-air balloon. She turns and pays the pony a couple of bits to use it before two of her familiar friends call out to her.

Twilight Sparkle & (Y/N): Fluttershy! Wait!

The two along with Spike walk up through the disgruntled residents.

Fluttershy: Oh. . . Hey, Twilight. . . Hi, (Y/N). . .

Twilight Sparkle: Where are you going?

Fluttershy: I'm moving back to Cloudsdale. I don't know what's wrong, but I can't seem to make anypony laugh.

She holds up a whoopee cushion and mashes it between her front hooves, only to generate an anemic version of its usual sound effect. Twilight and (Y/N) trade a concerned look, and Twilight walks over to Fluttershy with a smile.

Twilight Sparkle: Before you go, I was wondering if you might be willing to help Rainbow Dash. She's really struggling with her animals.

Fluttershy: But. . . I don't really know anything about animals. . .

(Y/N) then walks up to her with a smile and puts a hoof on her shoulder.

(Y/N): But you should know that Rainbow Dash is your friend. A true friend at that. She's positive, a good flyer, and most of all she would be loyal to somepony like you.

Fluttershy twiddles her hooves nervously and Spike smiles at her which makes her smile back at the two.

Fluttershy: You're right. She is a true friend and I'll do anything that I can to help her.

Soon enough after recruiting Fluttershy to come and help them with the animals, they all immediately arrive at the cottage towards the front door. An impact from within nearly shakes it off the hinges, in time with a clamor of animals.

Rainbow Dash: *muffled* Whoa!

(Y/N): Rainbow Dash! Are you alright in there?!

Rainbow Dash: *muffled* No! Help!

(Y/N) opens the door inside of the cottage and what they found inside was even worse than the last time that they visited. The entire area was now crowded with animals on the warpath and brandishing assorted sharp and blunt cooking implements. They then see Rainbow Dash tied up with copious amounts of rope and placed in the vessel, with a bear snarling in her ear.

Rainbow Dash: Help! I'm trapped!

Fluttershy: Hurry, Twilight! Can't you do some sort of spell to get her out? Or. . . (Y/N), can you fight all of them off?

Twilight Sparkle: No. Fluttershy, you're the only one who can help!

(Y/N): And right now Rainbow Dash needs YOU!

One agonizingly long hesitation later, the meek pony nods and advances slowly into the cottage.

Fluttershy: Um. . . Hello? Little. . . woodland creatures?

A bear stumps past her and she bends down to a mouse.

Fluttershy: I know that you're all very upset and feel like giving Rainbow Dash a hard time, but we'd all really appreciate it if you'd calm down and, um, maybe. . . rest for a bit?

The animals gradually begin to quiet themselves as two squirrels swinging a birdhouse, yield as they heard Fluttershy's voice. A now-pacified menagerie has gathered in front of her by the time she finishes, surprising her greatly. Twilight, (Y/N), and Spike get huge smiles at this development.

(Y/N): It's working!

Fluttershy: Oh! Uh. . . look!

She zips away, then back with a bowl of assorted food.

Fluttershy: Here's some nice, juicy leaves for you to munch on.

A group of rabbits immediately dig into this. she spreads a pile of nuts for a group of various sized rodents.

Fluttershy: And some crunchy, munchy acorns too.

She then approaches the animals that were still menacing Rainbow Dash.

Fluttershy: Uh, wouldn't you like to take a break and have a little snack?

It takes them very little time to ditch the cutlery and join the lunch rush as the whole bunch are now chowing down.

Fluttershy: Aww, look at that. I guess you were all just cranky because you were hungry.

Her pet Angel turns away from the fluffy critters and hops up onto her front hooves with a genuinely welcoming smile to nuzzle her cheek. Several birds gather around her as well.

Fluttershy: Oh, you are very welcome, little friends.

The bear then grabs her and cradles her in its grip. It gives her a happy little growl and a kiss on the forehead and the rest of the animals gather in close.

Fluttershy: Goodness, it's like I can understand them!

A faint pink glow then surrounds her as it was just like how Twilight and (Y/N) felt back at the library.

Spike lifts up the chest, its lid flipping open, and Twilight levitates Fluttershy's necklace out.

Fluttershy: I. . . I feel strange, like. . . like this is what I'm meant to do, like this is who I am!

She then flies up as birds surround her.

Fluttershy: My destiny!

The light around her flares up as Twilight sends the necklace across the open space to land around her throat. As its jewel glows blinding white, inside of her blue-green eyes, images from her past experience with animals flash across the dilated pupils at breakneck speed.

A flash of white then occurs as Fluttershy then ends up down on the floor. When she lifts her head, (Y/N), Twilight and Spike are standing in front of her. The light from her body and her necklace has faded out.

Fluttershy: Wha. . . what happened?

Twilight Sparkle: Fluttershy, look! Your Cutie Mark!

She looks at her flank and the three pink butterflies are right back where they should be, marked by a flash of white as if she had just earned them for the first time. The butterfly jewel on her necklace has resumed its original pink color as well.

Twilight Sparkle: It worked! It worked! Oh, we're so happy you're back to normal! Now we need your help!

(Y/N): This is what we need to do! We need to show our friends that their destiny doesn't rely on their Cutie Mark, their true destiny is being a true, true friend!

Twilight and (Y/N) walks past the gorging squirrels and one of them gives its nut to a hungry mouse.

They then walk along with Fluttershy.

Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, & (Y/N): ♪ A true, true friend helps a friend in need ♪

Rainbow Dash looks at them annoyed as she is still tied up in the pot at the far end.

Rainbow Dash: Um, hello? Friend trapped inside, remember?

Soon enough, Rainbow Dash got out of the rope that she got tied in, thanks to the three and they all go back to Ponyville and they all see Rarity who was still trying to control the weather.

Twilight Sparkle: ♪ Rarity needs your help ♪

♪ She's trying hard, doing what she can ♪

The blue Pegasus flies hesitantly up to the clouds at Fluttershy's urging.

Fluttershy: ♪ Would you try, just give it a chance ♪

A tentative hind-leg from Rainbow Dash kick disintegrates one cloud.

♪ You might find that you'll start to understand ♪

Rainbow's eyes widen in surprise from being able to see that she can control the weather and down below, the cringing, teary-eyed Rarity is stunned to find the overcast sky clearing up. She looks overhead and spots Rainbow breaking up the clouds.

Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, & (Y/N): ♪ A true, true friend helps a friend in need ♪

♪ A friend will be there to help you see ♪

The sun shines over all of Ponyville now and these three gallop past Rarity, who hurries to catch up. Down the way, Rainbow Dash wipes her forehead as a pink-red glow envelops her.

♪ A true, true friend helps a friend in need ♪

Rainbow Dash's necklace is magically put on, jewel flashing white, and her past images race across her eyes.

♪ To see the light that shines from a true, true friend ♪

After a white flash, Rainbow is seen lying sprawled in the street, heaving herself up after a moment. Her Cutie Mark is back to how it originally was and the lightning-bolt jewel on her necklace has taken on its proper red color.

Rainbow Dash: Uh, what just happened?

(Y/N): We'll explain later, but right now what matters more is Applejack. She's making dresses! We need your help for Applejack to see her true destiny.

Rainbow Dash: Say no more!

Twilight and Fluttershy step aside, giving a clear view of one very confused Rarity who just looks at her friends in surprise that she's coming along too.

It was time to try and ameliorate Applejack as the five and Spike go to Carousel Boutique and Rainbow Dash tries to persuade Rarity into helping Applejack.

Rainbow Dash: ♪ Applejack needs your help ♪

Both Applejack and the sewing machine are having a very rough time of it. Applejack starts to cry, and it seizes up and begins to smoke.

♪ She's trying hard, doing what she can ♪

Rarity walks across the room, eyeing the sartorial devastation.

♪ Would you try, just give it a chance ♪

Rarity floats the snarled fabric out of the machine and brings up a pair of scissors, along with a length of cloth that she unrolls.

♪ You might find that you'll start to understand ♪

Rarity then levitates one of the materials away and gets a spool of thread. Applejack turns her head just in time to catch sight of Twilight pushing a rack of mangled dresses out a side door and smiles thankfully.

Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, (Y/N), & Rainbow Dash: ♪ A true, true friend helps a friend in need ♪

Rarity is then seen working upstairs in her workroom and the sewing machine is running full speed, and she floats garment patterns behind herself as she works.

♪ A friend will be there to help them see ♪

Applejack stares in silent wonder as Twilight, (Y/N), and Spike pass behind her, Rarity's necklace floating overhead.

♪ A true, true friend helps a friend in need ♪

Rarity then finds herself wreathed in a purple glow as she finishes an outfit, and her necklace is thrown onto her and fastened around her neck. The gem flashes white and all of her dressmaking life flashes through her eyes.

♪ To see the light that shines from a true, true friend ♪

A white flash bursts across the room and Rarity is then seen slumped across her worktable. Her Cutie Mark is once again normal and The gem on her necklace now its original purple, and she pulls in a small gasp.

Rarity: Oh my, what a terrible dream I had.

Looking across the room, she finds a cringing Applejack next to a mannequin dressed in a hideous brown getup and slouch hat that no self-respecting hillbilly would be caught dead in.

Rarity: Or, maybe I'm still having it.

(Y/N): Rarity, Sweet Apple Acres is about to be gone for good. We need Applejack's help to save it!

Rarity: Lose the apple farm? Well we can't let that happen, now can we?

Rarity then pulls Applejack aside so that they can go and help their pink party friend.

The Mane 6 are now trotting on over to Sweet Apple Acres so they can help Pinkie Pie with her problem with the farm.

Rarity: ♪ Pinkie Pie is in trouble ♪

♪ We need to get there by her side ♪

♪ We can try to do what we can now ♪

Pinkie is then seen straining to hold up the barn's damaged downspout and all ponies gather around her except Applejack, who nudges the conduit back in place.

♪ For together we can be her guide ♪

The soggy pink pony gives Applejack a grateful smile, and a rain of apples tumbles down over the screen. Applejack has now gone to work bucking the revived apple trees as Pinkie Pie watches and the others haul away full tubs on their heads.

Mane 5: ♪ A true, true friend helps a friend in need ♪

Applejack stands proud as she is now in the back of a cart being pulled by Big Mac, and she tosses seeds out for Apple Bloom to cover with dirt.

♪ A friend will be there to help them see ♪

Orange light wreathes Applejack as all three siblings and Granny Smith gather at the barn, and Twilight levitates the apple-jeweled necklace from the chest.

♪ A true, true friend helps a friend in need ♪

It snaps in place and flares white, and Applejack's huge pupils spin through a replay of her life on the farm.

♪ To see the light that shines from a true, true friend ♪

Once a white flash comes and goes, Applejack's necklace is now back to her original color. As she trots happily along, her Cutie Mark which is back to being three red apples shine on her haunch.

Applejack: Yee-haw! Now that's more like it! What's next?

Twilight Sparkle: The townspeople are furious. We need the old Pinkie Pie back.

Applejack: I'm on it. I know just the thing.

Pinkie Pie, still in her worries is how on Applejack's back and is being carried back onto the Ponyville streets with the rest of Mane 7 trotting along.

Applejack: ♪ The townspeople need you ♪

♪ They've been sad for a while ♪

A bunch of ponies is then seen who have definitely had all they can stand and one mare was itching for a fight after a stallion passes her.

♪ They march around, face a-frown ♪

♪ And never seem to smile ♪

All ponies and Spike gather on a bridge as Applejack continues to persuade Pinkie.

♪ And if you feel like helpin' ♪

♪ We'd appreciate a lot ♪

An uncertainly smiling Pinkie sees all of the gloomy ponies and she gets a set of Groucho glasses stuck onto her face as Twilight levitates her necklace on, its balloon gem gleaming white. Applejack then shoves her forward so that Pinkie can show the ponies true laughter.

♪ If you'd get up there and spread some cheer ♪

♪ From here to Canterlot ♪

Pinkie winds up standing on her hind legs at the edge of the town square fountain, a blue aura surrounding her as memories of her party-loving self cycle across her pupils. The straight mane of hers goes back to it's original poofy self as the crowd starts to smile at seeing this. Pinkie then takes off the joke glasses and throws them aside. The jewel in her necklace has assumed its normal blue tone, and she now speaks in her normal cheery tone again.

Crowd: PINKIE!!

The song doesn't end there as all of the Mane 7 and all of the ponies in Ponyville are now marching across the town to finish it all.

Everypony: ♪ A true, true friend helps a friend in need ♪

Twilight and (Y/N) are now seen standing on a pyramid of their five friends. They look at one another and give a hug.

♪ To see the light! (To see the light!) ♪

♪ That shines! (That shines!) ♪

The seven ponies rise into the air and cluster together thanks to Twilight's magic.

♪ From a true, true friend! ♪

The Mane 7 then all land on the ground to gather in their group hug once more. . . that is until a thought came into Twilight's mind.

Twilight Sparkle: (A mark of one's destiny, singled out alone, fulfilled.)

Her eyes snap wide open on this and she sucks in a surprised gasp as her eyes sparkle briefly. The others then break the group hug.

Twilight Sparkle: Wait a second, that's it! I understand now! I know how to fix the spell!

Twilight then turns to (Y/N).

Twilight Sparkle: (Y/N), you were the one who was able to help continue the process, think you can still help me finish this?

(Y/N): Hmm, let me think. . . OF COURSE!

Twilight smiles from as the rest of the ponies head back to the Golden Oak Library so that they can finish the spell that was cast in the first place.

At the Golden Oak Library, Twilight trots inside with a determined look followed by (Y/N), the mares, and Spike.

Floating Starswirl's book over to herself, Twilight flips pages as the lights dim just a bit. Up comes her trusty quill as she writes down the final words to complete this enchantment.

Twilight Sparkle: "From all of us together, together we're friends. With the marks of our destinies made one, there is magic without end!"

The quill tip touches the paper to set down the final period and sparks fly briefly from the spot of ink as it is lifted away. She magically closes the book and sends it back across the room, (Y/N) goes up and hugs Twilight once more that she was able to complete the spell and she returned it. The other five gathered in a semicircle behind them.

However, none of them are in any way prepared for what comes next: a sudden gathering of energy in both the heart and the star gem in Twilight's tiara and (Y/N)'s crown generate a pulse of piercing white light. The other five necklaces respond by emitting beams in their respective colors, which converge onto Twilight and (Y/N) and they are so bright as to wash out the lights in the rest of the room. The two ponies at the center of the power surge look at each other concerned of what's happening. Shafts of blinding white light then pour out from every window of the Golden Oak Library for an agonizingly long second or two and then they cut off to leave the tree exactly as it was, under a quiet blue sky.

Soon enough, when the light dies down the mares are all a little disoriented from what happened before Fluttershy decides to speak up.

Fluttershy: *gasps* What happened?

Pinkie lets out a cry of terror when she looks ahead, and the other look to where she was looking to see the reason why. . .

Twilight and (Y/N) are nowhere to be seen. Where they had been standing, there is only a smoking, scorched patch on the floor in the shape of her cutie mark. A babel of panicked voices erupts among the five ponies as they think their two friends just got disintegrated from the reaction of the spell.

However, they were not gone at all. . .

A light dims out to see that Twilight and (Y/N) were back to back standing in a nebula-like stretch of cosmic infinity where stars shine from near and far. Both of their Elements of Harmony have been discarded from their heads.

(Y/N): What. . . happened?

Twilight Sparkle: I don't know. Just where are we?

(Y/N): Well, let's see. We finally discovered the reason why the spell hasn't been finished and finally made it work thanks to the two of us and our friends. Now, we're standing in the middle of a huge space-like realm that's looks to be nothing, but void.

Twilight Sparkle: You sure you don't see anything?

(Y/N): Nothing, but stars and. . . I guess you.

(Y/N) smiles at Twilight when he said that who smiles back at him with a small blush on her face. However, that dies down once a voice is heard among the two of them.

???: Congratulations, (Y/N). Congratulations, Twilight. I knew you could do it.

Both of them look ahead to see that the voice was none other than their mentor Princess Celestia who appears to have been expecting them. They walk up to her.

(Y/N): Princess Celestia? What going on?

Princess Celestia: Both of you who have appeared to be probably the most closest friends that I have ever seen were able to do the impossible.

Twilight and (Y/N) look at each other with a bit of confusion from that.

Twilight Sparkle: I don't understand. What did we do?

Princess Celestia: Both of you did something today that's never been done before. Something even a great unicorn like Star Swirl the Bearded was not able to do, because he did not understand friendship like you two did. The lessons you've learned here in Ponyville have taught you two well. You have proven that you're ready, Twilight. And (Y/N), your mother was hoping one day that something like this would happen to you, and I believe you're ready to see that as well.

Princess Celestia then walks on as Twilight and (Y/N) follow her.

They all move along a walkway of tiny stars, pictures slide up on both sides to form walls of a sort. Each one plays a scene from one of her past adventures.

Princess Celestia: ♪ You've come such a long, long way ♪

♪ And I've watched you from that very first day ♪

They reach the walkway's end, facing a large pane that plays Twilight's arrival in Ponyville and her meeting (Y/N) for the very first time. It then displays other clips of the two such as when (Y/N) vowed to help Twilight stop Nightmare Moon, both of them dancing at the Grand Galloping Gala, Twilight fighting (Y/N) to help free him from Discord's spell, (Y/N) reassuring Twilight at the Canterlot Wedding, and both of them working together to help save the Crystal Empire.

♪ To see how you might grow ♪

♪ To see what you might do ♪

♪ To see what you've been through ♪

♪ And all the ways you've made me proud of you ♪

The last replay is of the seven ponies warming up the Elements to use against Nightmare Moon during their very first adventure together.

As a white ends this, both Twilight and (Y/N) were tranquilly smiling at seeing these wonderful adventures. Princess Celestia then walks alongside the two puts her hoof on (Y/N)'s shoulder.

♪ It's time now for a new change to come ♪

She then shows (Y/N) a memory that was of him as a newborn foal being held by his mother and gathered by Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Star Swirl The Bearded.

♪ You've grown up and your new life has begun ♪

(Y/N) has tears welling up in his eyes and he smiles with tears of joy at seeing this memory of his mother as he looks back at Celestia who continues to sing.

♪ To go where you will go ♪

♪ To see what you will see ♪

(Y/N) and Twilight both stand next to each other smiling at each other before looking back at Celestia.

♪ To find what you will be ♪

♪ For it's time for you to fulfill your destiny ♪

Princess Celestia finishes the song by rising to her hind legs and gently spreading her wings to full extension, the nebula's light shining forth all around her.

A tiny mote of pink light then emerges from Twilight's chest and a (F/C) light emerges from (Y/N)'s chest as they both begin to circulate rapidly around them lifting them clear of the starry walkway as a small sphere of white light slowly envelops the two.

They both look at one another in astonishment as both of their respective colors whirls at blinding speed and the white blazes forth to hide her from view, culminating in a supernova blast that whites out everything around the void.

Back to the night sky of Ponyville, the blast appears here as well, giving way to a gigantic copy of Twilight's Cutie Mark. At ground level outside the library, the other five mares and Spike have covered their eyes, but tentatively raise them as the radiance plays across the area. Applejack points silently up toward the mark, which slowly descends toward the village and disappears into a gentle pulse of white light upon reaching the ground in front of the group. Twilight's half-slumped form appears at its center as it gradually fades away.

Applejack: Twilight? Is that you?

It was indeed Twilight as the violet unicorn rises carefully to full height, but there was something on her as well. . . something probably would be rare for just about anypony who exists in this world. . .

This is something that this one unicorn got because of her success in completing her final lesson, and it was a legendary thing to acquire. . .

That's right. . .

Twilight Sparkle is now an Alicorn!

She spreads out her brand-new pair of wings gracefully as sparkly white light shines around her for a moment and then begins to fade out. The other mares and Spike voice a collective gasp at this.

Applejack: Wha. . . I-I've never seen anything like it!

Rainbow Dash then flies over and pokes at one of Twilight's new wings before hugging her.

Rainbow Dash: Ha! Twilight's got wings! Awesome! A new flying buddy! *laughs*

Rarity: Why, you've become an Alicorn. I didn't even know that was possible.

Pinkie Pie: ALICORN PARTY!!

Pinkie was swinging across on rope around midsection. She has donned a pair of cardboard wings and stuck a red and white-striped party horn on her forehead for this maneuver. Confetti starts to rain down on the forward arc, while balloons rise on the backswing and a crowd's cheer is heard and in addition, Pinkie toots the horn, having taken it off.

Fluttershy: Wow. . . You look just like a princess!

Princess Celestia then flies down among the six mares.

Princess Celestia: That's because she is a princess.

The entire was both confused and surprised by this statement.

Mane 6: Huh?

Pinkie Pie: Hold on a second!

Producing a glass of water from nowhere, she guzzles the contents and then spews them out in a classic spit take of surprise.

Twilight Sparkle: A. . . A princess?

Princess Celestia then places her hoof on her shoulder.

Princess Celestia: Since you've come to Ponyville, you've displayed the charity, compassion, devotion, integrity, optimism, and of course, the leadership of a true princess.

Twilight Sparkle: But. . . does this mean I won't be your student anymore?

Princess Celestia: Not in the same way as before. I'll still be here to help and guide you, but we're all your students now, too.

Twilight smiles from this before noticing that somepony familiar isn't with them. She get's extremely worried about this.

Twilight Sparkle: Wait?! Where's (Y/N)?! I was just with him when I was with you Princess Celestia! Did something happen to him?!

Suddenly, a radiating light behind Twilight grabs her attention as she turns back and looks up into the sky to see an enlarged version of (Y/N)'s Cutie Mark symbol in the sky.

Princess Celestia: *giggles* There he is now.

The rest of the mares look at this radiating Cutie Mark in awe as it slowly lowers all the way down to the ground where they were. The mares couldn't see (Y/N) so far as his whole body was enveloped by a bright white radiating light.

Inside, (Y/N) was seen looking around before something catches his attention right in front of him as something lowers in front of him.

It was a shiny (F/C) helmet that looked to be just the right size for his head and he slowly reaches out to grab it and he slowly puts it on. What comes brings huge shock to (Y/N).

Shiny and glittery (F/C) armor starts to slowly appear and glow on (Y/N)'s body as they grew from all four of his hooves, then to his knees, then it formed onto his torso with his Cutie Mark symbol being on the center of his chestplate, he spreads his wings out as a cape then materializes on his back and flows gracefully in the wind.

(Y/N): *awestruck* Whoa!

The light then dies down as everypony could stop shielding their eyes and once they noticed (Y/N)'s new armor, they all let out extreme gasps of surprise as all of the armor that was on (Y/N) could only give them one answer to this.

Applejack: No way. . .

Rainbow Dash: (Y/N). . .

Rarity: I-Is. . . Is he. . .

Twilight Sparkle: A prince?!

Princess Celestia smiles and chuckles.

Princess Celestia: Yes, he is. But not just a prince.

She then goes to walk up and go right beside (Y/N) who was astonished everything that just happened.

Princess Celestia: Everypony, I would like for you all to meet. . . The Hero of Equestria.

(Y/N) looks at Princess Celestia very surprised by that name.

(Y/N): Huh?!

Princess Celestia: For a long time now, ever since you first arrived back here in Equestria, you have shown that you were willing to even sacrifice your own life to save the home you were born from. (M/N) was somepony like that as well, but as I stated in the past, it was an unofficial name given to her as the Princess of Equestria Heroes. So, I figured why not give her son a real title. (Y/N), not only have you saved everypony and your friends numerous times, but you have shown that you're capable of being not just a hero, but a prince as well due to you being able to show that all of the Elements of Harmony reside in you. You show Honesty like Applejack, Kindness like Fluttershy, Laughter like Pinkie Pie, Generosity like Rarity, Loyalty like Rainbow Dash, and finally. . . your close connection with Twilight has shown that you've known the true magic of friendship ever since the start.

(Y/N) looks at his friends who were all shocked by this including him.

Princess Celestia: To be honest, if you never met Twilight in the first place, I don't believe she would have known that she has such great friends that she can rely on.

(Y/N): The Hero of Equestria? Me? But like I always say to everypony, I'm just doing the right thing.

Princess Celestia shakes her head as she rests her hoof on (Y/N)'s shoulder.

Princess Celestia: No, you were being a hero. A true hero at that.

(Y/N)'s eyes dilate as he smiled from that seeing that he was truly a hero to all of Equestria. Twilight then walks up right beside him as well and they both exchange affectionate smiles at each other.

Princess Celestia then backs up to where the rest of the Mane 7 and Spike was.

Princess Celestia: You two have shown all of your knowledge and leadership on friendship that you both are an inspiration to all of us.

One by one, Princess Celestia and the rest of the mares and Spike bow to them.

Twilight Sparkle: But. . . what do I do now? Is there a book about being a princess I should read?

(Y/N) chuckles from that as he puts his hoof on her shoulder.

(Y/N): I think we'll have time to worry about that later. . . princess.

Twilight smiles at (Y/N) with a blush on her face from that and they both hold one another's hooves. Twilight then jumps to hug (Y/N) tightly and he returns it as the other mares just smile at the heartwarming scene between the two.

The Next Day. . .

Today was Twilight's and (Y/N)'s coronation as it was taking place inside of the Canterlot royal palace. Inside, the hall was packed with ponies and trimmed with banners, flowers, and candelabra. All three Princesses stand atop a dais decorated with a flowered archway. Princess Celestia at center, Luna and Cadance to her left and right, respectively. The five Ponyville friends stand in a line off to Cadance's right, and all eight are dressed in their best finery.

Princess Celestia: We are gathered here today in celebration of a momentous occasion. My most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle, and the son of my great friend, (M/N), (Y/N) (L/N) has done many extraordinary things since they've lived in Ponyville. They even helped reunite me with my sister, Princess Luna. But today, these two did something extraordinary. They created new magic, proving without a doubt that they is ready to be crowned Equestria's newest prince and princess.

The doors then swing open to admit Twilight and (Y/N) who were both right next to each other holding one another's hoof as they walk down the aisle. Twilight was wearing a pink gown trimmed in pale gold to match her new shoes, each of which is set with a miniature copy of her Cutie Mark. (Y/N) was wearing a (F/C) formal suit that was also trimmed in pale gold, his shoes were brown, and he had a pin on the left side of the chest area of his suit that had his Cutie Mark symbol on it.

Princess Celestia: Fillies and gentlecolts, may I present for the very first time, Princess Twilight Sparkle, and Prince (Y/N) (L/N)!

As she enters the hall, a group of white, blond-maned mares can be seen behind them carry light violet banners emblazoned with Twilight's Cutie Mark on one side and on the other side there were (C/C) banners with (Y/N)'s Cutie Mark.

(A/N): You know for a fact that I had to change this up a bit.

Choir: ♪ The Prince and Princess cometh ♪

♪ Behold, behold ♪

Twilight and (Y/N) step up to face the royal pony sisters, and Spike in a tuxedo jacket, ruffled shirt, and red bow tie approaches with a pillow that had both a crown and a tiara that looked somewhat similar to their Elements of Harmony.

♪ A Prince and Princess here before us ♪

Celestia's magic lifts them off of the pillow and sets them both on the new prince and princesses head. They look over to their friends and they had assorted looks of congratulations.

♪ Behold, behold, behold ♪

Twilight and (Y/N) eye one another before they face the entire crowd once more, still hoof in hoof.

♪ Behold, behold (behold, behold) ♪

They both then step out of the balcony doorway, followed by Celestia and Luna, and they look down on a jubilant throng packing the courtyard under a rain of confetti and streamers.

♪ The Prince and Princess cometh ♪

♪ Behold, behold (behold, behold) ♪

♪ The Prince and Princess is ♪

♪ The Prince and Princess is here! ♪

Twilight waves shyly to her new subjects while (Y/N) was a little more eager and waves to all below the both of them. Princess Celestia then nudges the two gently.

Princess Celestia: Well, aren't one of you going say something?

(Y/N) and Twilight turn to each other and (Y/N) gestures Twilight out to the crowd that she should go first.

Twilight Sparkle: Oh. Um. . .

Twilight let's go of (Y/N)'s hoof as she walks forward a bit. After clearing her throat, she raises her voice a bit to make herself heard over the crowd, which quickly subdues itself. She then turns to see the rest of her friends and gestures them outside.

Twilight Sparkle: A little while ago, my teacher and mentor Princess Celestia sent me to live in Ponyville. She sent me to study friendship, which is something I didn't really care much about. But now, on a day like today, I can honestly say I wouldn't be standing here if it weren't for the friendships I've made with all of you.

The other mares were welling up with tears from that and even (Y/N) sheds one as well.

Twilight Sparkle: Each one of you taught me something about friendship, and for that, I will always be grateful. Today, I consider myself the luckiest pony in Equestria. Thank you, friends. Thank you, everypony!

The crowd begins to cheer once more as Twilight waves to all of them. She then looks at (Y/N) to tell him that it was his turn to go up and give his speech. (Y/N) nods as he walks forward to the balcony. The crowd then lowers their as he begins to speak.

(Y/N): I must tell you all one thing. This was my home. This was where my mother first gave me life. All of Equestria. Ever since I left here, I was always just standing inside of a house with not only, my only family, but also my only friend. My mother was what you would call a creator, a deity, a goddess, she was the one to first bring all of you ponies standing here together. Earth pony, Pegasus, and Unicorn. When I was all alone for most of my life. . .

(Y/N) started to sniffle a bit as this is all probably something very personal to him.

(Y/N): . . .I wanted to know what friendship was. I wanted to see what it was like having a real friend for once. *sniffles* And. . . it was thanks to her that. . . I was able to see that. . . I. . . *sniffles* I had her as my only friend for my entire childhood. . . *sniffles* and. . . when I lost her. . . *sniffles* it was heart breaking.

Tears started to pour out of (Y/N)'s eyes as he was sobbing mildly at this point. Twilight and the rest of the mares walk up to him and give sympathetic smiles to him. The crowd even gave a sympathetic "Aww. . ." to just how sad it was.

(Y/N): *sobbing* But. . . coming to Equestria. . . I was able to make. . . so many friends here. . . and I even made seven special ones here. They were the first to ever give me the life I always wanted and. . . I can't thank them enough. . . *sniffles* I want all of you out in Equestria right now to know. . . . . . THAT I'LL ALWAYS BE HERE AS YOUR HERO! AND I'LL ALWAYS PROTECT EQUESTRIA NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS! THANK YOU! ALL OF YOU!

With those final words being said, the crowd let's out roars of cheers from (Y/N)'s heartfelt speech to all of them as all he could do was smile at all of them with tons of tears to shed. The rest of the mares give a group hug to (Y/N) and he gladly accepted it as that's just about what he needs right about now.

Once they broke the hug, (Y/N) wipes his tears away and they all walk back inside. As they did though, Twilight was greeted by her brother and Princess Cadance.

Shining Armor: Twilight! I'm so proud of you!

Twilight spots a tear working its way down his cheek.

Twilight Sparkle: Are you crying?

Shining Armor quickly wipes the tear away.

Shining Armor: Of course not. It's. . . it's liquid pride. Totally different thing.

The siblings share a laugh and hug, after which Shining Armor and Cadance back off a few steps.

The mares then form a group hug around Twilight.

Applejack: Way to go, Princess!

Pinkie Pie: Best coronation day EVER!

Fluttershy: We love you, Twilight.

Twilight Sparkle: I love you too, girls!

(Y/N) smiles at all of the mares in a group hug, but then a thought came into his mind as he looks at all six of the mares, and even thought about Twilight's feelings for him. It then gave him a slight frown as he looks down to the ground in complete confusion. Princess Celestia however, does not fail to notice (Y/N)'s downtrodden expression.

Princess Celestia: Is something wrong, (Y/N)?

(Y/N) turns to Princess Celestia with a reassuring smile on his face.

(Y/N): No, no. Everything is alright. I'm just happy to see my friends like this.

However, that was a tiny fib as (Y/N) turns back around and slightly get's the same glum expression that he had before. He knows that Twilight loves him, but it came to a realization that the mares most likely love him the same way as well.

(Y/N): (I love Twilight, I love Applejack, I love Pinkie Pie, I love Rarity, I love Rainbow Dash, I love Fluttershy. . . . . . but. . . I. . . can't. . . choose between one of them. Whose feelings should I accept? How can I choose one over the other?)

However, that thought is interrupted as (Y/N) still looks at his six friends and smiles.

(Y/N): (*sighs* I'm sure I'll find out one day.)

Down in the front of the Canterlot royal palace where the courtyard is, a double line of guards has taken up positions stretching out from the main entrance, with the spectators gathered behind them so that a broad walkway is left clear on the grass. Two Pegasus guards pull a chariot done in purple, (F/C), and gold, with sunbursts on the wheels, front panel, and above the seat in which Twilight and (Y/N) is riding together in. They both wave out to the crowd.

Twilight Sparkle & (Y/N): ♪ Life in Equestria shimmers ♪

(Y/N) catches a bouquet thrown by somepony and gives it to Twilight who accepts it with a blush on her face.

♪ Life in Equestria shines ♪

She soon had to ditch it however, as they both jumped to join their friends in trotting alongside down the courtyard along with Spike.

♪And we know for absolute certain ♪

Everypony: ♪ That everything (that everything) ♪

Celestia and Luna observe from the balcony with sheer joy and pride shining among their faces.

♪ Yes, everything (yes, everything) ♪

♪ Yes, everything is certainly fine ♪

Just in front of the top of one wall as all eight pop up to hold the last word of this line over all of Canterlot.

♪ It's fine ♪

Two figures are then flying out over all of Canterlot as they were of course Twilight and (Y/N) who meet up wide in the sky and hold one another hooves once more.

Twilight Sparkle: Yes! Everything's going to be just fine!

(Y/N): And as long as we're around, we'll make sure that it!

As they were both in the sky, a thought came to Twilight as it made her blush and look away embarrassed.

Twilight Sparkle: H-Hey, (Y/N). C-Can we do one thing?

(Y/N): What is it?

Twilight Sparkle: R-R-Remember the Grand Galloping Gala?

(Y/N) blushes from that as well as he knew what Twilight was implying.

(Y/N): J-Just one?

Twilight Sparkle: *nervous chuckle* I'll. . . leave it to you.

Twilight then looks at (Y/N) in the eyes as they were both were still flying high above Canterlot and they both blush immensely. They both smile at one another before they both close their eyes and lean in to share one kiss with each other. It was only for one second however, as it was just a small peck before they let go of one another. They both smile at one another before they both hug one another gently with different thoughts in their minds.

Twilight Sparkle: (I love you (Y/N), I truly do. I just want to say those words to you, but. . . I can't with our other friends having feelings for you too.)

(Y/N): (Twilight, I just wish I could confess my own feelings to you. But I love the other mares as well, and they love me too. I'll figure this all out someday and I hope I don't have to keep these feelings from you forever.)

Back at the unknown location, the mysterious evil figure looks at (Y/N) and Twilight in it's magic ball. He growls and scowls just looking at the two.

Mysterious Figure: (Y/N) (L/N), your mother was the bane of my very existence. I have been hunting you for thousands of years, just so I can snatch the power that holds within you.

Something bright then get's the figures attention as it turns around to see a golden glow rise up from what looks to be molten lava.

Mysterious Figure: Ah, it's finished. *chuckles evilly* So, (Y/N) (L/N) has become a prince? Some. . . hero is what they call him now? No. . . he won't be known to be the Hero of Equestria soon. He'll be nothing. . . he'll be an insulting memory to me. . . his death is certain! I WILL kill you (Y/N) (L/N)! And I WILL take everything you've ever loved in all of Equestria! YOUR END IS COMING!
