(Evan Kiryu's P.O.V)

It was the first time my dad ever made me go to a school where I've already known as much knowledge to sustain a job as a physicist, but Dad thinks that I need to go to school and get a high school and college degree. Without the degree, I can't get anywhere as a scientist. He said my friends will be there, but to keep me in check just in case something bad happens

As Dad was driving us to our new school, I was busy working on a whole new Driver to function with both the Hazard Trigger and a single Fullbottle, the Hazard Driver. The problem was I didn't have the necessary tools to complete it or get it working. I didn't ask Dad about helping me with it because he knows how dangerous it is to people like him and me. The Hazard Trigger, a forbidden item which can increase a user's Hazard Level at the risk of losing one's sense of self after a long period of combat.

"OK, we're here. Your friends have already gotten a head start. I'd suggest you hurry before you end up late." he told me, as I grabbed my backpack.

"Me, late? I'm the son of the great Sento Kiryu. I'd rather be dead then be late for the first day of school." I replied, as I left the car and entered the school. I made tracks pretty quick to reach my first class with only seconds to spare. The teacher let me find the seat not too far to the front to help me see what the teacher's doing.

My first class happens to be one of my favorites, Science. Being that my father and I happen to be epically large science geeks, but I'm more tame then my father. We started learning about the basic human genome, the fact that our DNA makes us different based in our personality and how we work.

"Now can someone tell me what are the benefits of mapping the Human Genome?" asked the teacher, as I raised my hand so fast and I got called on.

"The answer is simple. By mapping the Human Genome, we can use it as a predictor to find the proper DNA letter codes to help us combat disease and virus before they spread. Plus it will give scientist the use of better and cheaper tools to find even more new genomes to study." I replied, as almost everyone in the entire class was jaw-dropped even the teacher.

"That's... actually correct, Mr.Kiryu. I guess that saves me the trouble of explaining it to the class. OK since we got to the base of our lesson early, we will be doing our current activity. You all will be put in groups of three and you will be given a science-based riddle or question to solve. Your job is to work together to find out what the item or thing is." said the teacher, as I looked around to see who I could partner up with... I couldn't see Paul or Trent and Adrien and David were already taken, so I was left with my only option... I have to mingle with other people.

I got up from my seat to try and find a group who had a space left I could fill. I could see a bunch of different groups around me, but they looked like they all had three people in a group... all except for two girls. On the left was a girl with brilliant amaranth hair with apple green stripes and moderate cyan eyes while the girl on the right had moderate sapphire blue ponytail with moderate violet and brilliant rose streaks, Moderate violet eyes and a pair of thick black glasses.

As the new kid on the block, I didn't want to rub the students here the wrong way so I tried to keep my cool, solve the riddle and have fun before getting back to work on my Hazard Driver. As was trying to come up with a way to go in and talk to them, but the red-head seemed to be one step ahead of me.

"Hi, you must be the new guy here right?" she asked, and I nodded in response.

"Evan Kiryu. I'm sort of an exchange student from Touto, Japan." I replied, as I shook her hand.

"Sunset Shimmer and my friend's name is Twilight Sparkle." she said, as she pointed to the girl next to her.

"Pleasure to meet you two... I also noticed you girls seem to be a group member short." I asked,

"Well our friends have already made groups of there own as well as the other students in class. Would you like to take our open spot?" asked Twilight, as I took a spot right next to Sunset.

"I'd be delighted. Now let's solve this riddle or question." I replied, as the teacher handed us a slip of paper with our riddle on it to find out what we got.

'I'm made of carbon, but I'm pretty tough to break and hard to find. I'm beautiful when I'm carved and in many colors too. What am I?'

This one was a no-brainer. The answer is obviously a diamond. It's molecular base is made from carbon and when it is heated it becomes a more stronger and more solid form. It can be more beautiful when it's carve in different shapes. It also comes in many different colors when exposed to different types of impurities and is extremely rare and hard to find.

"So have you figured it out?" asked Twilight, as I nodded as I told them that the answer was a diamond. We wrote down our answer and gave it to the teacher only to find out that so far we're the only group to solve the riddle first. So we went back to our seats to wait til class ended, I preferred to stay quiet and wait until I could go and find a place to finish my Driver.

"So you said that you came from Japan, right? What's it like, ya know after the Sky Wall incident happened?" asked Sunset,

"Well to be honest, I'm not quite sure. I've grown up in Touto for most of my life until my father needed a change of pace and sent me to school, but just as a means to relax until this whole mess with Faust blows over." I replied,

"Why do you have to lay low? What exactly did you do to this Faust?" asked Twilight, as I was about to respond when the bell rung. I then grabbed my backpack before heading to the door.

"Sorry can't stay and chat. I gotta bounce to my next class, we can catch up at a later time." I replied, as I headed towards my next class. I happened to be Workshop which was the perfect place to work on my Hazard Driver after I got done with my other work. I was just about to add the limiter when the bell rang.

I then had to go to Culinary Arts to test my baking skills with deserts, fortunately I was able to make a pretty mean brookie recipe to throw down. I just started working when I meet a familiar face at my table, Trent Abadon. I could tell it was him by the fact that he had silver hair and marine blue eyes.

"Hey Evan, working on your brookies?" he asked, as my timer went off and I pulled out my chocolate peanut butter brookies for me and my chocolate chip molasses cookie pizza for the teacher.

"Just finished. Now I got something for lunch later and something for my class grade. Two types of deserts, one for me and one for class. I'm pretty much set for my first day." I said, as I then noticed that a corner of my brookie was gone.

"Lost some of your brookie? Don't worry, I think I know where it went. Which is why I brought this." replied Trent, as he pulled out a fishing rod with a chocolate chip cookie tied to the fishing line on it.

"What is the that for?" I asked, as he casted the line out across the island.

"To catch Canterlot High's most well known girl with will to party and a massive sweet tooth and probably find out if she's your brookie thief." replied Trent,

"That's ridiculous. There's no way on earth that you could-." I began, as his line got a tug on it as began to reel it in until he pulled up a teenage girl with brilliant cerise hair so puffy it looked as if it was made of cotton candy and pale cerulean eyes holding onto the line by her mouth... I was practically speechless.

"...How?!" I exclaimed,

"I probably should explain. This girl is actually well-known by many here at CHS, she's great at making people laugh and bring smiles. When we first met she had me on my knees laughing. Evan Kiryu, meet Pinkie Pie." replied Trent, as she began to shake my hand.

"So your the boy that Trent kept talking about. I've been super nervicited to met you!... I kind of thought that you were gonna be taller the way he described you." she said, as she pointed out something that I didn't want to hear. It's true that I only come up to Trent's shoulder in height, but I'd prefer not to argue with facts.

"Pinkie, we talked about this. Evan's a good friend of mine, like a brother in fact. Also it's his first day, so cut him some slack while he's here today and tomorrow, I'll bring him up to speed on your usual antics, OK?" asked Trent, as she nodded and happily skipped away... The people here are almost weird.

"Well so far you've met one of the most well known girls in CHS. They're commonly known as known as the Mane 7 and their reputation is as one of the most popular girl group here. If we have the chance, I'd think I'd like meet the other six." replied Trent,

"I think I've both heard and met two of them. Do the names Twilight and Sunset sound familiar to you?" I asked, as Trent almost fainted by hearing those two names before composing himself.

"Those two are the smartest of the Mane 7 and well known as much as the others... don't ask why. Also I thought that you were going to ask Pinkie about the missing brookie piece." asked Trent, as I shrugged.

"It's just some of my desert, not my school work. I think I'll let this one slide." I replied, as the bell rang and I walked outside of the class and returned to workshop to finish working on the Hazard Driver by adding the limiter to finish it. I had already finished my lunch while finishing the Driver, but now came the more difficult part of completion. Actually testing to make sure it works and doesn't backfire.

The first part of the transformation to my belt was to activate the Hazard Trigger and then plug it into the belt. So I started off by flipping off the safety cover on the device and then pushed the button.

Hazard On!

With the device now activated, I equipped the Driver on the top right side. Next came the easy part of the transformation, just shake the Fullbottle  and twist the cap to show the label on the front.

The next step was to add the Fullbottle of the users choosing into the primary slot. Since I currently have the Wolf Fullbottle, I'd have to make use of the only one I brought with me and insert it in the slot.

Wolf Charge!

I was then rewarded with not only that sound, but also with a bit of a tech-rock loop to boot. Now the final part of the transformation was to push the button on the right side of Driver. This is the most delicate part of the procedure, so I gently inched my pointer towards the activation button. 

I was inches away from the button when out of nowhere a soccer ball came out and almost hit me. I then heard voices coming straight toward me, so I quickly unplugged the Hazard Trigger and Wolf Fullbottle before putting it all back in my backpack. As the voices got more easier to hear, I soon recognized one of the voices. It sounded like a similar silver-tongued snake I knew and hated with every fiber of my being.

"Dash, I told you before that I'm not that good of a soccer player. So even if I tried, I couldn't... Oh! Well isn't this quite a surprise to see you here... Hello, Evan." said a familiar face, Dakston Huugs, my worst enemy I've ever known since I've lived in Touto.

Daks was a transfer-student from Seito at my original school before I was transferred over here to Canterlot High School. He was a great person when I first met him, but that was all just an act for him to get close to me and my father. It turns out that he was actually an agent sent by Namba Heavy Industries to spy on my father and steal the Build Driver as well as the Fullbottles so that their company could mass-produce them as weapons. Fortunately I was able to stop him with the help of Ryuga Banjou aka Kamen Rider Cross-Z Charge, we were able to defeat him. 

"Hi, Daks. I'd say I'm glad to meet you, but I'd rather not have our reunion begin with lies. Also I thought you were still in Seito, what are you doing here at CHS?" I asked, as he just chuckled.

"I got transferred here after what happened back in Touto. Though I suppose I'm the last person you'd want to see here after what I tried to do back there at the time." replied Daks, as I felt a twitch of all those bad memories from that very day.

"You tried to kill me in order to stop from preventing you stealing my father's Driver and our Fullbottles... and I couldn't transform at the time!" I exclaimed, but that last part slipped out. I knew that if I told him about my Hazard Driver, he'd go after that and get Seito to mass-produce that version instead.

"Hmm? What do you mean 'you couldn't at the time'? Last I recall, your father and two of his friends were the only ones with working Drivers and your father never lent you his. So how exactly do you have a functional Driver?" he asked, as I knew his aim was my new Driver, but knowing him he'd just try and steal it.

"It's nothing really. I was just thinking about what it would be like to become a Kamen Rider." I replied, as Daks raised his eyebrow at me but soon gave up trying to dig for info. I soon noticed a girl leaning against the doorframe. She had rainbow hair and moderate cerise eyes.

"So... about that ball?" she asked, as I saw the soccer ball had landed right nearby my backpack. I soon picked up and passed it to her.

"Sorry I took so long, Dash. I was just meeting up with an 'old friend' of mine." replied Daks,

"I'd prefer to be a known-acquaintance to you, Daks but I wouldn't mind getting to know your friend over here." I said, pointing at the girl who I returned the ball to.

"Oh, where are my manners. Dash, this is Evan Kiryu. Evan, this is Rainbow Dash, captain of every single sports team here at CHS, as well as the Rainbooms leader guitarist as well as member of the Mane 7." replied Daks,... that's the third time I've heard someone talk about this group today. What makes this Mane 7 group so... popular? I mean my father quite well known for not only his technology involving Kamen Rider Build as well as his high intelligence, but I don't know what's so special about this Mane 7 group.

"So are you still on for soccer practice or..." began Rainbow, as Daks eye-balled me before returning his attention to her.

"I'm sorry, Dash but I need to stay afterschool to help with tutoring other students but I'd be more then happy to practice with you tomorrow." he replied, as he left. Leaving me with another member of the Mane 7 who was holding a soccer ball. I decide that lunch was almost over and I couldn't let someone beside the friends I know see it, so I left the room only to end up seeing that rainbow-haired girl follow me while practicing her juggles with the soccer ball.

"So... what's the deal with you and Daks? You seem like that you had an axe to grind with the guy." asked Rainbow Dash, as I sighed at what she said.

"Well after what he tried to do back in Touto with stealing my father equipment and trying to kill, why wouldn't have such grudge against the guy." I replied, as she eyeballed me after I mention something I shouldn't have.

"What kind of 'equipment' did Daks try to steal?" asked Rainbow Dash, I knew I shouldn't have said anything about my father's research. Still this did reveal a great opportunity for me to get some information about the Mane 7.

"Tell you what, I'll will tell you about my father's research in exchange for information about you and your friends." I replied,

"What kind of stuff do you want to know?" asked Rainbow Dash,

"My friends have told me a bit about you and your friends. I just want to know why you girls are so popular." I replied, surprising she was more than willing to tell me about them. Apparently she and her friends were given magic after a bunch of random events over the past several months. They've fought two power-crazed students, evil sirens, a camp counselor who got hyped up on magic geodes and even a former movie set worker who ended up with a magic mirror with made her mad with power.

In exchange, I told her about the Pandora Box that was found on Mars which created the Sky Wall Incident back in Japan, how it split them into three separate nations and final and most importantly, the Rider System my father built.

"So let me get this straight, you're actually the son of this world famous physicist from Japan who's actually uses some of the technology he made which he forgot because someone erased his memory, to fight and save the world like some kind of superhero?!..." she questioned,

"That's kinda hitting the nail on the head. It's true that my father from time-to-time save our country. It's only because my father made the very system that allowed them to fight as Kamen Rider Build. He told me that he was going back to Touto to help end a war back in Japan so I'm pretty much on my own for the time being." I replied, as I took my leave with Rainbow's jaw dropping.

I was about to head to my next class when I noticed that David and Paul were talking with some girls nearby the science lab. I knew it was them because David usually has deep orange short hair with lavender eyes while Paul had black shaggy hair with icy-blue eyes. The two girls they were talking to seemed quite friendly. One had long pale rose hair with moderate opal eyes while the girl next to her had a pale olive ponytail with moderate sap green eyes and a cowgirl hat.

I was gonna talk to them, but I didn't want to risk exposing anymore information then I already have... Though I'd rather not leave my friends hanging, so I decided to drop by and see how things were going.

"Hmm? Evan! It's been a long time since we last talked man!" said David, as he gave me a nice big bear hug. As much as I like David he tended to squeeze to the point where I can't breathe... and his grip hasn't changed since we last met... Ribs cracking... Lungs giving way... Death is near!... or it was until I felt him let go and air returned to my lungs.

"See David? I told you that you shouldn't hug him too tight. He's not as strong as you man." replied Paul, as I was practically gasping for air to notice what we were talking about. Someone offered me a hand to help me up and I took their offer. It was the girl with the cowboy hat.

"So you must be Evan. I'm Applejack and my friend here is Fluttershy. David here was telling us about you, how you and your father are pretty smart. Also the fact that your own father sent you here to hide you from some kind of... organization?" she asked, and I scratched the back of my head.

"That's pretty accurate. How exactly did they explain it to you? Because they might have added something in or might have forgotten some details." I asked, and they explained the parts in regards to my father's job, about Faust and the reason of my transfer as well something about a hedgehog.

"The first three are accurate, but I don't remember adding the part about the hedgehog. I do remember something involving the time I accidentally mistaken a hedgehog for a porcupine, but that was on purpose so I could stop some random from messing David whom was attempting to talking with it." I replied, and almost immediately, Fluttershy's eyes widened in surprise and got quite close to David before grabbing his hands.

"You talk to animals too?!" she said, with her voice sound a bit louder before quickly realizing what she's doing and let go of David's hand and began to blush a little.

"Umm.. Yes I do tend to talk to animals, but only so I can assess the problems of the animals in question. When I was born, I had the unique ability to understand the instinctive behavior changes in animals. Soon after I was able to decode the complex animal language of my dog, Geipers. Afterwards I was able to get to the root of our problems and that became my drive to study and decode the language of every animal on the face of this Earth." replied David,

"He plans to become an ambassador to the entire animal kingdom. He's already able to translate hamster." replied Paul, but before I could reply we soon heard an explosion not to far off from where we were standing. We then rushed down the hallways to see something that I hoped to never see again... a Smash. This type appeared to have the DNA of a Excavator and it was swinging wildly trying to destroy anything around it.

I noticed a familiar face trying to hold it off the Smash along with a girl creating a diamond shield to hold them off. The face I remembered was definitely Adrien with his clean auburn hair with his emerald green eyes. The one holding the diamond shield had moderate indigo hair, moderate azure eye with light cornflower bluish gray eyeshadow.

The two were trying to keep it from getting anywhere, but they could only slow it down by deflecting it's blows. I couldn't risk letting it run rampant in this school, so my only option I need to do was to get that thing out of this crowded area. I soon rushed in and vaulted over the diamond shield and kicked the Excavator Smash.

"Hey ugly! Over here!" I shouted, while holding my Fullbottle which grabbed it's attention like a moth to a flame. I quickly I rush out onto the football field with the Excavator Smash to try and get the people around me safe from the fight that was about to go down... I suppose this may be a good time to test out the Hazard Driver's capabilities!

I quickly unzipped my backpack and pulled out all the components I need, the Driver, the Hazard Trigger and the Wolf Fullbottle. I began to repeat the steps I made to attempt to transform.

I then carefully but quickly began to repeat the steps prior to activation, releasing the safety on the Hazard Trigger and pushing the button before inserting it into the driver. Next grab the Fullbottle, shake it up before twisting the cap and insert it. With the techno-rock loop now started I felt ready despite the fact that I was being attacked.

"Time to put this prototype through it's paces, Henshin!" I shouted, as I pressed the blue button on the right side of my Driver and almost immediately it sparked with life and my body was transformed.

Single Match! Unbreakable Forrest Hunter, Wolf Hazard!

With the transformation complete I got a chance to see my armor equipped, I got a weird feeling of excitement through out my body. The design was similar to that of Kamen Rider Build with the optics, color scheme and the arm-claws, but the helmet, chest and shoulder armor were more in the concept of a wolf and I was wearing matching color scarf with my armor.

I soon blinked back to reality to notice the excavator claw about several centimeters from my face, but thanks to the effect of the Wolf Fullbottle my reflexes and my sense of sight, hearing and smell were increased in this form allowing me to dodge faster as well as see attacks coming.

I swung my claws on my right arm to counter the blow and I barely felt the backlash. I then quickly countered with my left claw to dish out some damage. The Smash's movements were definitely powerful and wild to an untrained eye, but I knew that this Smash like others had a pattern to his attacks. It only seemed to attack with it's left arm which was the excavator part of it's body and it seemed like it was aiming at the student body when I got there.

I then decided to attack with my claws, unleashing a fury of slashes and punches to the creature and causing it to stumble backwards. I then pressed the red button on the left side of belt once.

Single Hazard!

The energy of the Hazard Driver flowed from right into my right claw before striking the creature right on the arm which destroyed it. Though I knew I could handle all that this thing, but I know that I couldn't let it do what it wants. So I pressed the red button three times and the energy from the driver to both my claws and my right foot.

Overdrive! Hazard Finish!

I then lunged at Smash before slashing with my charged claws, landing on the palms of my hands and then pulling off a spin-move and striking with my charged foot in a personalized Rider Kick of my own. The Smash then felt the buildup from the damage I dealt before exploding and falling onto it's face unconscious.

"Alright, one thing left to do." I said, as I pulled out an empty Smash Bottle and unlocked it before using it to absorb the Unpurified Nebula Gas and reverted the Smash back to a human. The boy was unconscious, but alive and that what's was bothering me. How did this Smash get here even after my father took time to scan for any Faust activity?

I was gonna go further when I heard the cheers of my friends. I felt a pat on the back from Paul, a nice hug from Trent and a thumbs up from Adrien to prove that this fight was a perfect test. It felt good knowing that my friends were here to witness this.

"That was so awesome! I can't believe you actual managed to transform with that prototype driver and the Hazard Trigger and not go berserk!" said Trent, as David walk out from behind him.

"What do you expect? He's the very son of a brilliant physicist and Kamen Rider, it was kinda expected that he'd pull through." he replied, as I removed the Hazard Trigger and Wolf Fullbottle from my driver before de-morphing.

"... Guys, did you notice any Smash or Faust activity around here recently?" I asked, as the four of them began to think back to recent events before my arrival.

"None that we can recall. If we saw any activity like that, we would have call your dad in advance." replied Trent, as Adrien raced in, trying to catch his breath and dust himself off.

"I figured you'd be here, Evan. I just got it new sweatshirt and I felt like it got wrinkled by me by bending that shield." he exclaimed, as I forgot that he has issues with some people messing with his stuff.

"Nice to see you too, Adrien. If you guys need me, I'll be at my new place trying to examine this Nebula Gas from that Smash I defeated." I said, as I put my stuff and the Smash Bottle in my backpack.

"Wait, what about your other classes?!" questioned Trent,

"Considering the fact that a random monster appeared out of nowhere and attack anyone it could see in the school, I'd think that would be the last thing the teachers and faculty would want us to be doing right now. That being said, Evan if it's OK with you me and David would like to crash at your place." replied David, as I raised my brow.

"Why do you wanna do that, don't you have your own places to stay?" I asked,

"Had one, but the landlord booted me from my apartment because someone blamed me for something I never did. As for Trent, he kind had an accident with one of his animal therapy lesson and his folks kicked him out." replied David, as I sighed in response.

"I might as well. You've had my back when we were in high school back in Touto, so it only seems fair that I do the same for you." I said, as the three of us left for my place.

(???'s P.O.V)

"You actually managed to stop that Smash... even though it was a rough-drafted version they created. You managed to pull all that off with nothing but an untested drive, perhaps there might be some hope after all." I thought, as I felt my phone vibrate before I pulled it out of my pocket. It was my boss trying to get ahold of me and I answered.

"Is the target eliminated?" he asked, as I took a deep breath and looked around the corner.

"The Smash has been dealt with. Apparently Mr. Kiryu wasn't aware of what's going on under the surface. His son managed to take it down, but I think there might be more on the way." I replied,

"Not this time, rookie. Our spies on the inside have double-check the equipment their using to make these guys. They've been having trouble decoding the Nebula Gas' genetic code in an attempt to create an unpurified version. This Smash was just test dummy for the road ahead. Keep an eye on the kid and his pals, we'll keep you posted." replied the boss before he hung up. I put my phone back in my pocket before setting off, out of sight with hood over my head.

"The die has been cast, Evan Kiryu. You'd better be ready to play your hand at what's coming!" I said to myself,
