You looked up at King Sombra's castle sadly. You saw him, up there, staring evilly down at all of the crystal ponies. A tear fell down your cheek as you trotted along with the other crystal ponies, chained to each other.

You knew King Sombra before he turned evil, before he was king, when he was... Sweet.

You remember it like it was yesterday...

You two would go to the park and have a picnic. Then you would talk and talk all through the picnic until you had to leave.

You two were the perfect couple.

You remembered, on your 3 year anniversary, he took you to a fancy restaurant. It was very special, because it was very expensive.

You wore your favorite dress, he wore a tux. After you ate, Prince Sombra stood up and yelled, "Excuse me! Everyone! I have an announcement!"

He then kneeled down and you gasped. "S-Sombra?"

"Will you, (y/n), make me the happiest pony in The Crystal Empire, and marry me?" He then held out an amulet with a golden chain and a diamond flower.

You gasp, and with tears in your eyes, cried, "Yes!!!" Sombra slipped the amulet around your neck as you hugged him tight. You then kissed him, and everyone cheered.

It was only a few days later that he changed.

You looked down at your amulet that was on your neck. You sighed at the thought of your marriage that was suppose to be today, but never was going to happen because King Sombra forgot who you are.

"Hey! You!" Some pony shouted at you. You turned around to see one of King Sombra's soldiers. "Take this to the king!" He shoved a plate of food to you and unchained you from the rest.

You put the tray onto your back and started trotting to the palace. You were nervous, since you haven't been face-to-face with Sombra since... It happened.

You went up to his room and knocked on his door. "Y-your majesty?"

"Who is this? Another one of my stupid guards?" Sombra laughed. You looked at the ground. It was the laugh you knew and loved... Yet more evil.

"N-no. It's one of your subjects. I-I'm here with your f-food."

He slammed open the door and glared down at you. The king took it from you and was about to gallop away when he looked into your (e/c) eyes. "W-what's your name, peasant?"

"(Y/n), your majesty."

King Sombra gasped and looked side to side. Then, he pulled you into his room and closed the door. Then, he set the tray on his bed and stared at you.

"S-sir? Dif I d-do something wrong?" You ask nervously.

"No! No... It's just..." He sighed. "I can't believe I forgot about you."

"You remember me?" Your eyes widened.

"Now I do, and I'm so happy." He smiled, and the purple must around his eyes disappeared. Then, his eyes turned  back into his regular dark green eyes that he had before he turned. "(Y/n), we were supposed to me married today."

"W-we were, Sombra. How could I forget?" You smile as a happy tear fell from your eye.

Sombra then smiled. Suddenly, a mist surrounded him and when it cleared, he was back to what he was before. He had lighter skin, blue highlights, wings, and a cape. The amulet dropped from his neck and broke.

"Your back!!" You cried, and he wiped the tears away from your face.

"I'm back, (y/n), I'm back." Sombra then kissed you. You then got rid of your sad form. You turned back into the beautiful Crystal pony that you were.

After you stopped passionately kissing, you looked into each other's eyes. "I'm going to fix everything, my love." He winked. "Even our relationship."

Your heart lifted, and you knew that this was the stallion who you belonged with.
