#42: Chatie Kiss
Requested by my child devanshiprakash2007!
I'll be honest, I was a little nervous to write this because:
1. I wanted this to be purrfect
2. I can't write kiss scenes
3. This is technically a self-insert. And I am an awkward person.
Therefore, points 2 + 3 = awkward potato disaster Katie who is inexperienced in the ~love~ department
'''''
Also, Devs, yes I am posting this at 3:30am. Don't kill me for my non-existent sleeping habits -_-
'''''
I'm just gonna admit that in this oneshot "Katie" is officially Chat's girlfriend 'cause I have NO idea how I could write this if they/we aren't already dating.
And....um...Chat and Katie are really flirty in this one. Sooooooo yeah. I'm too awkward for this!! Aaaaaaa
''''''
Little random note: Be prepared for the next update!! It's gonna blow your mind!!!!!!!
'''''
Hopefully this lives up to your expectations, Devanshi!! XD
'''''
So....enjoy? XD

The girl curled up in her blanket and splayed out further on the couch. Her long light brown hair was pulled in a high ponytail and surpassed her shoulder. She sat there---quite comfy on the couch and turned the pages of her book. A smile worked its way onto her face and she leaned in closer to the pages. She abruptly slammed the book shut, squealed, and hugged the book into her chest.
"Oh my gosh," she laughed. "I love Keefe!!"
"Who's Keefe?"
Katie jumped at the voice. She looked over her shoulder to see the one and only Chat Noir striding across the room.
"Hey Chat," she smiled fondly and reached out to pet his hair. "How was your day?"
The hero flopped down next to her and laid his head in her lap. She raked her hand through his hair and laughed when he started purring.
"It was okay," he said, nuzzling into her side. "I just missed you." He crooned and wrapped an arm around her waist. "Now who's this Keefe that you 'love'? I need to go beat him up for making you fall for him."
Katelyn giggled and continued to stroke Chat's head. "He's a character from this new book series that I started." She lifted up the cover of the book to show him. "It's called 'Keeper of the Lost Cities.'"
"So what does Keith have to do with this?"
"Babe, his name is Keefe." She rolled her brown eyes in a playful manner. "Anyway, he's just a really funny character. He's really nice, handsome, and---hey!" She hit him over the head with the book. "Don't growl at me!"
"Me-owch, Kit-Kat! Did you have to hit me so hard?!" Chat pouted and rubbed the spot she'd struck.
"Anyway," Katie carried on. "As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted---Keefe is funny, nice, and handsome. And," she regarded the boy in her lap before continuing. "He reminds me of you."
"Wait what?"
The girl laughed and fixed her ponytail. "Yeah. You're both blonde, have fluffy hair, good-looking, and have the same sense of humor."
Chat fixed her with a narrow-eyed stare. "As much as I appreciate being called 'good-looking', I don't like you calling another guy the same thing."
"Oh, come on, Adrien. You aren't seriously jealous of a fictional character, are you?" When he said nothing and stared resolutely at a wall she gasped. "Holy Moly Guacamole and Voldemort's Frijoles---you are!!" She cackled and kicked her feet in mirth.
"You know what?" Chat felt his tail bristle and he gritted his teeth. He started to get up. "If you aren't going to take me seriously then I'll just see myself out."
Before he could get very far, however, he was sent flying backward as his girlfriend pulled his tail. She hugged him from behind---wrapping her arms around his shoulders and leaning on him. "Aww, babe, don't be like that. You know I think you're hotter."
"Oh yeah? How hot are we talking?"
Katie paused for a moment to think. "Hotter than the bottom of my laptop," she said, at last.
Chat threw his head back in a laugh. He quickly caught himself and hurriedly moved to look pouty again. "You think you can charm me out of my bad mood!" He accused her with a pointed finger.
"Is it working?"
"No."
"Darn it." She slid her arms back and sat on her heels. She made a move to get her book and whined when it was whisked away at the last second. "Adrien! Give that back!"
"No." He tossed the book to the ground---resulting in an outburst from his girlfriend---and crawled his way closer to her on the couch. "You're always busy or reading. Besides, I'm still offended that you thought that book character was hotter than me! You need to make it up to me." He rested his chin on his hand and drummed his fingers against his cheekbone in anticipation.
"Fine! What would I need to do?"
"I don't know, just do something!"
"I'm too indecisive," Katie groaned and rubbed her hands on her face. "I can't think of anything."
"I can think of a few things we could d---ow!" He rubbed his head where she hit him. "Geez, sorry! I was kidding!"
"Uh huh. Sure." The girl stretched and gave a yawn. "Seriously, I want my book back. Can we just make a decision or something?"
"Well," Chat got a sly look in his green eyes. "How about we have a flirting competition?"
There was a moment of silence before she groaned and sank into the couch cushions. "Adrien, you know I get flustered easily!"
"I know," he smiled, looking proud of himself. "That's why it's so fun."
Katelyn looked unconvinced. She rubbed the back of her neck. "I don't know, Adrien."
"Please!" He was practically begging now. "Just this once."
She gave a laugh. "I would flirt with you, Chat, but I'd rather seduce you with my awkwardness."
The cat hero leant forward and kissed the tip of her nose. "It's already too late for that, Kit-Kat." He smirked. "Consider me seduced a long time ago."
The brunette girl's face flushed bright pink. She squealed and covered her face. Laughing, her boyfriend grabbed her wrists and forced them away from her face.
"Don't hide, please. I want to see your pretty face!"
"Nooooooo!!"
"Then I'm giving you two options." He nudged her face toward him---forcing her to meet his gaze. "Either you can flirt with me now and win your book back, or I can leave and you can wait to get your book back tomorrow."
"This---this is blackmail!! This is a book-hostage situation!" Katie tried to distract him, but unfortunately for her, she had a stubborn boyfriend. Chat could not be deterred from his motive.
He raised a golden eyebrow. "So? What'll it be?"
A few more moments of silence inched by until she finally sighed in defeat. "Fine. But I get to go first---that way I can at least get one little flirt out before you demolish me." The blonde boy smiled and sat up, eagerly.
"U-um," Katelyn stuttered. "Are you a keyboard? Because you're just my type."
Chat guffawed loudly---rocking in his seat as he tried to regain his breath. He wiped the tears gathering in the corners of his eyes and sighed. "A pick-up line and a pun?! I knew we were soulmates!"
"Ha ha," she said, sarcastically. "Okay, it's your turn."
"Alright, then. How about.....are you a daughter of Apollo? Because you light up my world like nobody else."
To his surprise, his girlfriend merely smiled. "Actually," she said with a slight shake of her head. "I've heard that one before. It was a tumblr post!" She quirked an eyebrow. "You're not as original as I thought, are you?"
"Oh whatever, like you could do any better."
To his utter delight, a rare competitive gleam twinkled in her brown eyes. "It's on." She played with the ends of her ponytail. "We're not at a library, but can I check you out?"
Chat could have sworn his heart stuttered. That was the thing about Katie's competitive streak---when she wanted to win, she went all out. Most of it was unconscious, though. She didn't realize that she lowered her lashes when she had a daring sparkle in her eyes. She didn't know how her flushed cheeks made her look even more lovely. She didn't realize that she bit her lip when she was satisfied with what she said.
"We---well," the blonde man cleared his throat. "Is there an airport nearby or was that just my heart taking off?"
The brunette girl leant forward and rested her chin in her hand. "Aside from being the most attractive thing on the planet----what else do you do for a living?"
She was gaining confidence now. Adrien didn't know if he should be flustered, afraid, or deeply in love. Come to think of it, he was probably all three. Yes, just put all those in a blender---shaken, not stirred.
He raked a hand through his hair and batted his eyes---knowing that these features were some of her biggest weaknesses. "I was wondering if you had an extra heart. You see, you just stole mine."
"Do you like Star Wars? 'Cause yoda only one fur me!"
"Sorry, but you owe me a new jaw."
"Huh?" Katelyn frowned in confusion. "What? Why?"
Chat grinned. She'd fallen right into his trap. "Because when I looked at you, I dropped mine."
At last, he succeeded in making her laugh again. She smiled, brightly. "Do you have a pencil? Because I want to erase your past and write our future."
"You don't need keys to drive me crazy."
"Wait, pause." The brunette listed her head to the side. "Was that one an insult or a compliment?"
"Both."
She laughed off his response and paused before finally remembering another one she'd seen on Pinterest. "Kiss me if I'm wrong, but dinosaurs still exist, right?"
Adrien felt his breath hitch. She said the 'K' word. He smirked a little and decided to take it a step further. He leant forward and quickly pecked his girlfriend on the cheek.
"W--what was that?" Her hand rested on top of her flushed cheek---right where is lips had touched.
"Well," he tried to play it off, coolly. "You told me to kiss you if you were wrong, so I did." He inched closer to her. His minty breath fanned over her face. "My turn." He smiled. "'Hershey's' makes millions of kisses each day, but I'm only asking for one from you."
"If you were a Dementor, I'd become a criminal just to get the chance to kiss you."
"Don't worry. If you kiss me, I won't turn into a frog."
Katie was surprised that she hadn't passed out by now. How had this game escalated so quickly? "Can I borrow a kiss? I swear I'll give it back." Even subconsciously, the two were moving closer together.
"Kissing is the language of love. So, how about we start a conversation?"
"If you're not gonna stop being so cute, you're gonna have to kiss me. I'm sorry, but I don't make the rules."
"Sha-la-la-la-la-la don't be scared---you got the moves prepared, you know you want to kiss me, girl."
At last, they were nearly nose-to-nose. Their arms acted of their own accord---wrapping around each other. Katelyn's arms came to a stop behind his neck. Chat, himself, had perched his arms at her waist. He slowly reached up and worked her hair out of it's high ponytail. He played with the silky ends, examining it in hyper-focus. At last, he worked his gaze to her face. He reached a gloved hand into her light brown hair.
"I like your hair best when it's down. I think it suits you." He said, stroking it. Goosebumps erupted along her back as he trailed his fingers along her hair, down her spine, and came to rest at her hip.
"Katie?" he prompted.
She hummed in response---not trusting her own voice for fear of it cracking.
"Your lips look lonely. Let me introduce them to mine."
With a swoop of his head, Chat connected their lips, at last. They closed their eyes and relished in the moment before he took action. He buried his hands in her soft hair, again, and cupped her jaw. Inexperienced as she was, Katelyn followed her boyfriend's lead and played with the ends of his own hair. After months of dating and agonizing complicated feelings----they finally had their first kiss as a couple.
They stayed like that for a minute until he suddenly pulled away. He chuckled as she blindly tried to follow him back with her lips. "Hang on," he said with a smirk. "Don't you want your book back?"
The brunette scoffed and reached for him again. This time, she grabbed him by the bell of his super-suit to bring him back as she kissed him again.

FYI, I wrote this on Valentine's day. That way I can at least have an imaginary love-life lol
'''''
Y'all I cringed so bad when I had to describe myself as if Chat found me attractive! I was like "uhhhh wat." I literally have no clue what I just wrote and I am so sorry XD
'''''
Okay, but like, I seriously love the nickname "Kit-Kat". It's so cute!!
Oh! Especially with this relationship 'cause 'Kit' is practically an abbreviation for Kitten and the 'Kat' bit is a shortened version of Katie. And if you put them together, it equals a chocolate candy.
What can be more fulfilling in life than having a name that also means a candy?
'''''
I'm too awkward for thissssssssssssssssssss
'''''
Okayyyyy, it's currently 1:26am when I finished writing this, so Imma go to bed XD
