We open on an empty room.

It appears to be uninhabited.

*camera pans right*

There's no one here!

*camera pans left*

There's nothi—Oh wait!

*zooms in*

*focuses on Katie hiding in the trash can*

Aaaaaaaaaahhhhh!! Please don't kill me!! I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while!!! Don't kill me!!!!

*Katie pokes her head out of the trash can*

I'm in the trashcan because I belong here. I have not updated in 4-6 weeks—therefore, I am trash.

Anyway, I haven't updated in a while because I've been working on some other stuff.I've been working on my SAT prep and writing the background for "Chasms of Copper"!!! (Please check it out, I only have 1 part and it's just an explanation page! I need to know if you guys think it's worth my writing it!!)

'''''

You guys would not believe my month.

I lost my 40 chapter plans for Chasms of Copper PERMANENTLY. They got deleted, and weren't in iCloud.
I cried until 3am, ate ice cream, watched old Studio C episodes, and snuggled with my cat, Toby.

Anyway, the plans are all the way gone. So, I've had to rewrite them all.

'''''

Does anyone else think that English is weird?

Like, it's my first language and all, but it's weird!! XD

Adding an 'e' to a word makes such a difference.

Like, if you write the word 'heroin' you're talking about a drug, but when you write it like 'heroine' you're talking about a brave female warrior/protagonist.

Or if you write 'butt' you're talking about someone's hee-haw. But if you write it like 'butte' you're like "Ah, yes. I'm talking about an isolated hill with steep sides and a flat top."

Sorry, I came up with this in the shower, and had to share it with y'all. XD

'''''

I just wanted to say; I know NOTHING about Chinese formalities and customs. I'm just using my basic knowledge from "Mulan".

All I think I know is that the last names come before first names.

If this is wrong, please correct me!! I don't wanna offend anyone!

'''''

Also, the "akuma"'s name is Muteineer. (It's a pun; Mute-ineer)

It's pronounced like the normal word, 'Mutineer'.

'''''

WARNING: This is a fight scene chapter with a vicious villain.

'''''

Now, enjoy!!

A Tale of Fallen Heroes (Pt. 3)

Chapter 3: Purple Peach Blossoms

"Su Ling! Su Pao!" The distorted shout cut through the chilly spring air.

In a small household, two young men froze in their seats with terror.

The Su brothers stared at each other as they heard their names being called, once more.

That was all the warning that the boys had.

A dark figure kicked the door open, walking into the room.

Wait—scratch that—levitating into the room.

She was of medium height, had pasty-white skin and wore a dark kimono. Her violet eyes were rimmed with black liner, her dark lashes were fierce. Her lips were dark.

Her medium-length dark hair was loose, and appeared to float, as well. Scattered purple blossom petals were the only additions to her hair.

Her outfit was decorated with accents of purple; specifically purple versions of the traditional peach blossom.

The boys yelled in fright at her appearance. Pao stumbled back against the wall.

Finally, Ling called out to the figure.

"W—who are yo—you?" His voice quivered.

The female smirked and stretched out her hands.

"You don't recognize me? Maybe the fact that you made fun of my mute sister will ring a bell." Her sonorous voice was deep and distorted.

The boys froze, again.

"Ca-Carmin?!" Pao stuttered, terrified.

She laughed, maniacally.

"I'm not Carmin, anymore. I am Muteineer! I will avenge Madeleine by making those who hurt her, suffer the the same fate that she has uncomplainingly burdened. Starting with you."

She surged forward, towards Su Ling; who was the closest to her.

Pao watched in horror as she grabbed his brother by the wrist—forcing him to come closer.

"Any last words?" she smirked.

"I-I'm sorry!!"

"Too late."

With her unoccupied hand, Muteineer touched her thumb and pinky together and folded her three middle fingers over them.

^ (A/N: Like this. It's ASL for the letter "M". At least, that's what my dad told me. XD sorry for my nails; it's been a while since I've had them done since quarantine, because no nail salons are open and I can't get these removed because of that. XD)

A flash of purple light emitted when she forcibly touched her hand to Ling's lips.

He stumbled backward, frantically mouthing words that couldn't be heard.

"What did you do to him?!" It was Pao who asked the question.

Muteineer chuckled, darkly.

"I muted him, obviously." She furiously turned to face the silent brother. "And that's not all I'll do to you, either. Let's just say that...no one will be able to hear you scream."

Ling's eyes widened with terror.

"But first," the tainted woman paused. "I have to take care of your brother."

Pao's erratic breathing increased.

He scrambled backward; only to find there was no room left to move.

Between the wall at his back and the advancing Muteineer, he was trapped.
The young man whimpered and cowered as the figure closed in on him.

She smiled and held up her hand—forming the foreboding sign.

"Any last words?"

Suddenly, a pole came whizzing out of nowhere and hit her extended hand.
The young woman hissed in pain as she drew back her injured hand. She swung around to see the pole flying back to its master.

Standing six feet tall, a tan young man dressed in orange robes caught the pole.

He wore a white undershirt, which was tucked into rust-colored pants, and an orange robe over the ensemble. The back of the robe had a white tip and dipped from the front to the back; creating a slight 'tail' look.

The pole—which, upon closer examination turned out to be a flute—was orange with a hint of white.

Orange fox-ears peaked from the top of his head; half-hidden by his hair. His wavy locks were shoulder-length and (with the exception of the front section) in a high ponytail.
It faded from a dark brown at his roots, to a red-orange, to the white tips.

Finally, his face was covered by an orange and white mask. An orange 'hook' necklace hung from his neck.

The man's amber eyes twinkled as he surveyed the pair's shocked expressions.

"What?" He quirked an eyebrow, jokingly. "Is there something on my face?"

Muteineer snarled and drew back from Su Pao. She skidded over to the newcomer.

"Who are you?!" She demanded. "Night Viper didn't say anything about you."

"Well," the man drawled. "I don't know who this 'Night Viper' is, but if he's the guy who sent you to torture these young men, then I don't approve of his methods.

"As for my name," he continued. "I think I've decided on 'Foxglove.' It sounds kinda cool, right?"

He watched as the figure before him clenched her fists, menacingly. He shrugged.

"I guess not."

The tainted young woman leapt at him.

The man dodged her attempt very easily.

"Are you actually trying?" He taunted.

Muteineer's eyes blazed with fury. But all too soon, the spark turned into a steady flame of cunning.

She smiled, dangerously.

"You're not worth it; you're not the one I'm after. However," she swung around. "They are."

Foxglove turned to see Su Pao attempting to help his muted brother to his feet, as he had passed out.

The next thing he knew, the Muteineer lunged towards the boys—hands outstretched.

It all happened so fast; he didn't have time to react.

Luckily, someone else did.

With a zipping sound, the villainess was restrained.

A long black cord was wrapped around her; one end was covered by a circular red container with black dots—it was a yo-yo.

The other end was held by the new hero; a young woman of medium height. She stood in the light of the open door.

She donned a curious-looking outfit; a mix of warrior armor and a traditional women's kimono.
Red and black warrior armor covered her torso and shoulders—cutting off at the mid-riff and elbows.

A black, skintight suit covered the rest of her; ensuring modesty. There was an occasional red dot on the suit, as decorations.

Red swaths of sheer fabric hung over her hips, elegantly. A red and black-spotted belt secured the material to the black suit.

Crimson combat boots completed her warrior-maiden outfit.

Her long, loose raven hair framed her fair face and rosy lips. The front sections were held back by red spotted ribbons; one on each side. Sideswept bangs lightly rested against her forehead.
Her earrings had the same spotted pattern as the rest of her ensemble.

Finally, the young lady wore a red and black spotted mask; drawing attention to her spring green eyes.

"Now," the young lady spoke. "That's not very nice. I don't suppose you think you're overreacting, do you?" She spoke in a soft, polite voice as she addressed the woman she was currently restraining.

Foxglove furrowed his brow.

Where had he heard that voice from, before?

With an infuriated yell, Muteineer jerked backward; causing the yo-yo to loosen its tight hold.

She widely eyed the new heroine.

"There's another one of you? Why?!"

Foxglove coughed to cover a laugh.

"Well," he drawled. "I'll be honest with you; I'm sorry to say it, but I've never seen this beautiful creature before in my life." He said, winking at the spotted woman.

She grinned.

"Well, you're certainly a sly fox, aren't you?"

"Of course, O' fair Spotted Lady."

"Actually, it's Ladybug." The raven-haired beauty smiled. "And you are?"

"Foxglove, at your service, Your Ladyship." He bowed, teasingly.

"Pardon me, but would you two quit flirting and give me a hand?!"

The pair turned to see another young man in a supersuit, pining a struggling Muteineer to the ground.

Ladybug was quick to get to business. She wrapped the yo-yo around the villainess's still fighting form; more securely this time.

Foxglove was next to the young man in less than three strides. He held out his hand, pulling the brunette to his feet.

Ladybug turned to get a better look at the new superhero.

He was tall, although, not as tall as Foxglove.

He had light skin and brown hair that just brushed his ears. Grey rat ears peeked through his fluffy hair.

He had a lean build and wore a dark grey skintight suit. The suit had lighter-toned grey armor on the torso. Reflective seams lined the arms and legs in abstract patterns.
A silver tail peaked from between his legs; connected to his belt.

A two-toned grey mask covered the top half of his face—highlighting his honey-colored eyes.

He dusted off his chest and stood—assuming his full height.

He held his hand out to the orange-clad hero.

"I'm Col—" he paused and shook his head. "Oh, I should probably not use my civilian name, right?"

"No," the other male responded, sarcastically. "Whatever gave you that idea?"

"Tone down the sarcasm, Vixen," the rat-themed hero retorted.

"The name's Foxglove."

"Like the flower?"

"What?! No!" he sputtered, indignantly. "And that's beside the point; who are you?"

"I think my name will be..." the grey-suited hero paused. "Remmytail."

Foxglove sniggered and brought his hand up to his face.

"Think my name's funny, do you?" Remmytail countered. "Well at least it isn't a flower."
"I didn't choose my name after a fl—!"

"—Boys!"

The bickering males turned to see Ladybug; hair disheveled, holding her empty yo-yo, and looking at them with an annoyed expression.

She gestured to the place where Muteineer was no longer.

"Where did she go?" Foxglove exclaimed.

"Well, while you two ladies were arguing," the boys winced at her insult. "The Muteineer and I had a fight as she tried to escape. When she broke through my hold, I tried to call one of you to catch her. But 'lo and behold' you were too busy annoying each other to notice!"

She turned away from their sheepish faces and faced the now-conscious Su brothers.

"You two need to hide. I don't know what you've done to offend her, nor do I care, but I do know that you're in danger." She faced Remmytail and Foxglove.

"Muteineer is still on the loose. I can't protect these boys and capture her at the same time. Foxglove, can I trust you to get the Su brothers to safety?"

Grin back in place, the fox-themed hero nodded.

He walked over to Su Ling and helped him up; motioning for Pao to grab onto him. With a leap, Foxglove and the two boys were out of the door and into the mid-day sun.

At their absence, Ladybug turned to Remmytail.

"Okay, Mr. Rat, I need your help to catch the villainess. Has your kwami explained what's at stake?"

Remmytail shrugged.

"Mullo mentioned something about the basics of my Miraculous, my power, how there's a supervillain at large but we don't know who, and that you can purify the 'tainted people'."

Ladybug nodded.

"Yeah, pretty much. But I need your help to catch them. What's your power?"
"From what my kwami told me, I can turn into tiny versions of myself. It's very useful for strategy-demanding plans."

"Okay, let's go find the tainted woman. I can't capture her until we know what we're dealing with. Got it?"

The grey-clad hero nodded and followed suit as Ladybug swung out of the window on her yo-yo.

'''''

After an hour of searching, the pair sat on the edge of a roof; exhausted.

"Where could she possibly be?" Ladybug blew at her bangs, impatiently.

"Beats me." He drummed his fingers on the roof, thinking hard. "Do we know anything about this girl?"

The spotted heroine shook her head.

"Not much," she said. "Just that she's definitely a tainted person and is out to get the Su boys. She also mentioned someone named 'Night Viper' to our fox-friend, soon after he arrived."

Frowning, Remmytail turned towards Ladybug.

"You don't suppose that she's ou—"

"—Look out!!"

A blur of yellow, black, and blue barreled into Remmytail; knocking him over.

A young woman stood from her place at Rem's side and called out to Ladybug, "Behind you! Quick!!"

Spinning around, the spotted heroine threw her yo-yo at the villainess.

But the Muteineer had anticipated the move. She caught the yo-yo, easily, and used her own strength to pull at it and sent Ladybug flying through the air.

At the last second, however, the ladybug-themed heroine righted herself and landed on her feet.

She turned, snarling furiously, to face the dark personage but instead was met with an empty spot. She dropped her scowl; replacing it with a confused frown.

"She's gone." A feminine voice interrupted her thoughts.

Ladybug turned to see the young woman who had pushed Remmytail out of harm's way and had warned her of the Muteineer's presence.

The girl's supersuit resembled Ladybug's own; in which it was a combination of warrior armor and a women's kimono.

She wore a black undersuit; ensuring modesty and logical breathing room. Occasional yellow stripes ran down the arms and legs.

Fashionable, but durable, black shoes enclosed her small feet.

Overtop of the female's undersuit, she donned a yellow kimono with fitted armor panels and both black and sky blue accents. A long slit on the right side ran from the bottom of the dress to her mid-thigh.

A bee-embellished sash was fastened around her waist. A transparent sky-blue cape hung on her shoulders.

Yellow ribbons held her dark hair in two high pigtails. Honey-colored highlights accentuated her wavy midnight locks. The shorter sections of hair floated, framing her fair skin.

Finally, a sunshine-yellow mask shone brightly on her peachy face. Her cerulean blue eyes were curtained by thick lashes.

"What do you mean 'she's gone'?" Ladybug queried. "She just disappeared?"

The bee-themed heroine nodded.

"It's part of her power. She can fly in the wind. The purple peach blossoms gather around her and lift her up at her command. I've been watching her ever since she started doing it—about an hour ago."

By this time, Remmytail has gotten up. He held out his hand for the new hero to shake.

Ladybug grinned as she saw the hint of pink on his cheeks as he did so.

"My name's Remmytail. And you are?"

"Bumblewing," she smiled and shook his outstretched hand in a friendly manner.

"Well," she turned to face Ladybug. "As much as I'd love to stay and chat, shouldn't we get back to work? We do have a villainess to find."

"I agree. Where did you see her disappear to?"

At this, Remmytail faced the spotted heroine.

"I saw her blossom cluster heading north."

Ladybug smiled at the pair before her.

"Then that's where we're headed."

'''''

The small band of heroes came to a stop at the northern bridge, where they were surprised to see a gathering of people.

What was odd, however, was how some of them didn't make any sounds.

Ladybug frowned as she heard clips of the other people's conversations.

"—she just came in, all scary-looking, and muted my broth—!"

"—said she knew her; but, I swear, we didn't recognize he—!"

"—just asked if my cousin had any last words and then pressed her hand to Cho's lips. Next thing we knew, she couldn't tal—!"

"—horrifying! The woman had these purple petals in her hair! She hardly had any color on her; just purple, white, and blac—!!"

"Well," Remmytail said. "At least we know we're in the right place."

Bumblewing frowned.

"Why do you think she only attacked certain people?" she asked. "There obviously were witnesses to her attacks, but she didn't go after them."

"I've been asking myself the same question," came the voice, behind her.

The group turned to see the fox-themed hero leaning on his flute.

"But then, I remembered something the Muteineer had said while I fought her, earlier." He paused.

"She'd said that the boys were worth the effort to hurt. Because they'd done something. So, I assume that she's out for revenge. That's why she's only attacking certain people!"

"Wow," commented the bee heroine. "That's a sound theory. You're pretty smart—for a fox." She smirked.

"That's the thing about us foxes; we're all charm and cunning." He winked, dramatically.

"H-Hey—well," Remmytail stuttered, looking flustered. "I-I'm sure that we're allsmart. You know," he faced Bumblewing. "Rats happen to be very resourceful and protective."

Foxglove sniggered and brought a hand up to his mouth, to smother his teasing grin.

Ladybug saw Remmytail tense up, so she intervened before they had a fist-fight on their hands.

"Haven't you guys heard that ladybugs get super annoyed with their teammates when they decide to compare strengths rather than to help them find the dangerous tainted people?!" she exclaimed, sarcastically.

To her surprise, Bumblewing began to laugh.

"I agree with you," the yellow-clad superhero said. She turned to face the boys. "Let's get on with our mission, shall we?"

'''''

After a hour or so of tracking and relying on witnesses, the troop of heroes reached their destination.

Before them was the Muteineer, cornering a terrified young woman.

"When I get through with you, Ming Li, you are going to regret what you did to Ma—!"

Ladybug had slung her yo-yo around the villainess before she could finish her sentence.

"I'm not letting you get away this time!" she declared.

The dark blossom-themed woman growled and jerked her own body, causing Ladybug to go flying through the air.

In a flash, Muteineer was free, again.

"Well," she scoffed at the spotted-bug heroine. "Looks like I just proved the Luck-Bug wrong."

She grinned, maliciously, and darted over the yard wall; disappearing from view.

Ladybug grimaced and drew back her arm to fling the yo-yo.

"Wait!"

Bumblewing reached out to her.

"Let us help you!" She indicated herself and the two boys at her side.

The red-donning woman shook her head.

"No, I'm the one that she escaped from all those times; I'm gonna be the one to catch her."

"Ladybug!"

Bumblewing's shout fell on only hers and the boys' own ears as Ladybug shot away on her yo-yo; going after the Muteineer.

The spotted heroine scanned the area for the havoc-wreaking woman.

She couldn't believe herself. She'd let Muteineer get away, again!!

"Looking for me?"

The low whisper came from beside her. Ladybug gasped and whipped around to see the Muteineer—standing dangerously in front of her.

In a flash, the Muteineer struck. She kicked out at Ladybug—sending her crashing against the stone wall of the surrounding garden.

Ladybug fell into a limp, shaking heap on the ground.

The Muteineer stalked toward her.

"Do you have any last words?" She mocked the red-clad hero.

"Do you?"

Only, it wasn't Ladybug who had said it.

Suddenly, the Muteineer was flung from Ladybug's prone body.

While the villainess was temporarily out of action, the man pulled the spotted heroine into his arms and vaulted out of harms way.

Minutes later, he set her down on a nearby roof as she came 'round to consciousness.Ladybug gasped as she opened her sparkling spring-green eyes. She leaned back—rubbing the spot on her stomach where the Muteineer had kicked her.

"Are you okay?"

She turned at the sound of the man's deep, but gentle voice.
She tried not to make a sound as she took in his appearance.

The man was very tall and fit.

He wore a slim black armored suit with accents of silver, green, and grey.

The collar of the suit was slightly stiff and opened at the top. The lowest the neckline went was a few inches below his Adam's apple.

Black clawed-gloves were connected to the suit. They were seamlessly fitted and a silver ring was on his right ring finger.

A long, black cape hung over his shoulders. It fastened at an angle; making it swoop to the side.

Dark grey fur lined the top of the cape—creating the same effect a lion's mane gives to the majestic beast.

A low black sash was tied round his waist; almost invisible to the normal eye. A dagger was fastened to the side of it.

Calf-length black warrior boots covered his feet; they were obviously sound-absorbent.

He held a decorated—but logically supplied—spear in one hand.

His skin was an olive-tan and had occasional faint freckles.

Black leather cat ears poked through his loose, shoulder-length, raven-black hair.

Finally, black leather cat-themed mask covered the top of his face; preserving his identity. There were hints of silver and green along the edges.

His eyes were mesmerizing; a mix of green and brown. The two colors conflicted; making his eyes seem deeper and more soulful.

"Are you okay, miss?" came his deep voice, again.

Ladybug blushed, heavily.

"I—uh—yes. I'm fine. T—thank you for sa—saving me."

"No problem, Miss—?"

"Ladybug," the spotted heroine interjected, still blushing.

"Ms. 'Ladybug', may I ask what you were doing, back there?"

Ladybug sighed.

"I was trying to fix my mistake by catching the Muteineer." She explained to the cat-themed hero.

"Forgive me if I'm wrong," he said. "But don't you think you'd be more successful if you worked together with the rest of the team?"

Confused, the red-donning heroine turned to to her rescuer.

"How did you know about the rest of the team?"

She practically melted when she heard him give a light chuckle.

"It was common sense," he explained. "If there's another hero, besides myself, then there's bound to be more."

After a pause, Ladybug spoke to the stranger.

"What is your name? I don't believe you told me."

"It's Ki—"

"—There you are!"

The pair of heroes turned to see the rest of their troop join them.

"We've been looking for you everywhere!" Bumblewing exclaimed to Ladybug.

"What you do to her?" Came Remmytail's cold voice.

Ladybug turned to see him standing offensively in front of the new hero.

"He didn't do anything!" She hurried to his aid. "In fact, Rem, he saved me from the Muteineer."

At her words, the rat hero relaxed and apologized to the man in front of him.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me," he frowned. "I just went into a 'protective mode.'"

The black-cat themed hero smiled and patted the younger man's shoulder.

"It's okay; you have good instincts. Even though I wouldn't harm Ladybug, you were right to interrogate me."

Ladybug turned to Remmytail.

"My kwami, Tikki, explained that to me," she began. "When a person wears an active Miraculous; characteristics of their themed species tend to mix with their personality. You said so, yourself, that rats were incredibly protective."

"So, wait," Foxglove spoke. "Does that mean that I'll have dog-breath and an annoying laugh?" He dead-panned, causing the rest of them to chuckle.

"How's that any different than how you already are?" Remmytail smirked.

Foxglove flushed with fury.

"Why you—!"

"—Guys!" Bumblewing and Ladybug called, exasperatedly.

The boys sheepishly swung around to face the frustrated women.

"We need to come up with a plan to capture and purify the Muteineer," Ladybug explained. "Any ideas?"

After a couple moments of silence, the new hero stepped forward.

"I have a suggestion."

'''''

From her perch on the roof of the house, Ladybug scanned the horizon for the villainess.

Finally, her bright green eyes zeroed in on the purple-wearing woman.

She was leaping off of the crests of traditional village houses.

The purple blossom petals trailed behind her in the wind.

The spotted heroine sat up and called out to her hidden teammates.

"I found her! North-bound; on the rooftops!"

On cue, Remmytail took cover in a nearby building.

"Multitude!" A flash of silver light erupted into he air at his words.

From her view of the setting, Ladybug witnessed miniature versions of Remmy scatter throughout the scenery; waiting for their part in the plan.

Meanwhile, Foxglove leapt out of a bush—sprinting in the direction of the Muteineer.

Along the way, he whispered, "Mirage!"
He cast the illusion to the left, as planned.

"Hey! Flower Face!" he taunted her; trying to get her attention. "Care for a little one-on-one fight with the Foxy?" He winked as the woman angrily growled.

"Seriously?!" She exclaimed, furiously. "What will it take to get rid of you?! You're like a persistent bug on my shoe!!"

Foxglove chuckled, airily.
"Me? A bug? Oh no, that'd be Bumblewing or Ladybug; seeing as they're the insects of the team."
He paused and smirked. "I suppose Remmytail could fit that description, too."

Muteineer leapt at him; fury evident in her eyes.
She harnessed her blossom powers; floating upward, and aimed a kick at the fox-themed hero.
With the help of his heightened senses, Foxglove dodged the blow and moved back.

"Stay still!" She snarled.
"Not a chance!"

Slowly, the Muteineer smirked.
"You're such a smart-mouthed young man," she drawled. "Whatever would you do if you had your voice taken from you?"

Suddenly, Ladybug dropped from the rooftop above the pair.

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that, Muteineer," came her polite but firm voice.
"And why not?"
"Because...I haven't used my Lucky Charm!!" Ladybug cried out, flinging her yo-yo into the air.

Moments later, a hand-held fan fell from the sky into her awaiting hand.
"Uh," began the spotted heroine. "I'll be honest; this is not what I expected."

The Muteineer laughed, harshly.
"Are you feeling a little faint, Little Bug?" She mocked the heroine. "What is that for? Are you going to fan me to death?"
"Don't talk to my friend like that."

Behind the villainess came Bumblewing; springing into action.

"Wings!" She called upon her power.

In less than a second, her blue cape was consumed in a flash of light.

The cape divided itself—straight down the middle—and turned into bee-wings.

She flew above them and dropped onto the Muteineer—knocking her to the ground.

The Muteineer growled and began to gather her blossom cluster; ready to launch into the air.

Suddenly, there were no blossoms for her to summon.

Confused, the tainted woman looked around.

Then, her gaze landed on Ladybug, who was fanning the blossoms and keeping them at bay.

"Noooo!" Muteineer cried out.

As soon as the last petal was far away, Ladybug turned around. Quick as can be, she secured her yo-yo around Muteineer's struggling form.

"You think you can contain me? May I remind you; I've broken your hold on me several times."

She was surprised when Ladybug smiled, smugly.
"Yes," the spotted heroine began. "But now I have my friends to help me."

On cue, Bumblewing and Foxglove came to Ladybug's aid; adding their own efforts to making sure the Muteineer wouldn't escape.
Bumblewing turned to her side.

"Rem!" She called out. "It's your turn!!"

The mini versions of Remmytail came scampering over.
They ran over to the Muteineer and began to search her body for the tainted object.

Finally, one of them exclaimed, "Here it is! On her ankle!"

Sure enough, on her left ankle was a curious anklet.

It was decorated as a snake's head and body.
Almost as if a serpant had wrapped itself around her ankle and froze to stone.

"Alright, Mystery Man!" Called out Foxglove. "We're ready!"

Behind the illusion that Foxglove had previously conjured came the new hero.

The mirage itself had been an act to camouflage his whereabouts from the tainted woman.
Because he was the newest of them all; he had the element of surprise.

The man stalked closer to the Muteineer.
"Cataclysm!"

At his shout, a destructive matter radiated from his palm. He placed his dark-enveloped hand over the anklet—destroying it, immediately.

By what can only be described as 'magic', the snakelet came to life.
The small, dark snake unhitched itself from the Muteineer's leg and began to slither away.

"Oh no, you don't!"

Ladybug withdrew her yo-yo and aimed it at the retreating snake.

With a flourish of her hand, the yo-yo caught the viper.

"Slither home, serpant." Ladybug spoke, in triumph as she released the cleansed creature.

The team of heroes watched as an enlightened version of the snakelet writhed away, into the distance.

"Is that it?" asked Foxglove. "Are we done?"

"Almost," Ladybug said.

"There's a two more things left to do."

She got off the ground—dusting off her outfit.

She confidently stood; almost as if she could challenge the deities of the sky.

"Miraculous Ladybug!"

She hurled the spotted fan into the air.

The onlookers watched in fascination as it was overcome by glowing ladybugs.

Soon, the sparking magic ladybugs flew around—repairing all the damage that the Muteineer had caused.

They witnessed people exclaim and upon regaining their voices.

Many cried out in join and sang praises to the heavens.

Ladybug caught her yo-yo in her hand and smiled down at it. It was just so...so...Miraculous.

She couldn't help but giggle at her thought.

"Ladybug!"

The next thing that the spotted heroine knew, was that she was being pulled into a hug by Bumblewing.

Remmytail and Foxglove followed suit.

The four of them laughed and rejoiced in their victory.

"Are you alright, miss?"

The group turned to see their newest hero helping a young woman to her feet.

It was obvious that she had been the Muteineer; but she no-longer donned a dark warrior outfit.

She was of medium height and wore a blue and pink kimono.

Her black hair was shoulder-length and in a choppy cut.

She turned her dark brown eyes upon the cat-themed hero.

"Where—" she hesitated. "Where am I? What happened?"

"Carmin?"

The group turned to Foxglove at his outburst.

"You know her?" Bumblewing asked.

"Umm, yeah. She's an acquaintance of mine."

He turned to the girl as she got to her feet.

"Do you remember what happened?"

'Carmin' groggily rubbed her eyes.

"Not much," she said. "I remember Night Viper manipulating me and his followers coming out of the trees. He had a small snake. The last thing that I remember is it wrapping its body around my ankle."

She opened her chocolate eyes and focused on the group before her, at last. She gasped.

"Who are you?" she demanded.

Remmytail smiled, comfortingly.

"Well, it's kinda complicated, but you turned into this raging villainess and we were chosen to be heroes. So, obviously we—"

"We saved you, silly!" Bumblewing interupted, chuckling.

"Hey! I was gonna say that!" Remmy pouted.

"Well, you were taking too long!"

"Wait, let me get this straight; I turned into a 'raging villainess'?!" Carmin exclaimed; eyes wide with shock.

"Oh yeah," Foxglove sniggered. "And you were a sight to behold; I'll tell you that. Your powers were that you could turn into this vortex of purple petals and fly, and that you could take away a person's voice. You went after the Su brothers, first, and then a bunch of other people. You had this black and purple warrior-maiden outfit. And your hair floated and had these purple peach blossom petals in it. And your eyes were glowing purple and looked demonic—it was so cool and so scary at the same time!"

He paused and turned to his teammates.

"Too much?" He asked.

Bumblewing nodded.

"And it was too soon."

They turned to the girl, expecting her to faint.

She was taking the news surprisingly well, although she did look a little pale. Okay, a lot pale.

"'P—purple'? 'Peach Blossoms'? 'Ta—take away voices?'"

Ladybug frowned.

"Do these mean anything specific to you?" She asked the poor girl.

She watched Carmin's expression harden.

"I have a little sister, Madeline," she explained. "Her favorite color is purple, and her favorite flower is a peach blossom. Madeline has been mute from birth and has been bullied by the Su boys for it; but their taunting went to far, last time. That must have been what caused me to act the way I did."

Ladybug grew sympathetic.

"I'm sorry, Carmin, for what the boys did to your sister. Is there anything we can do to help?"

"Just get me back to my sister, please. I told her I wouldn't go after the boys. She must be very worried and upset by now."

The spotted heroine nodded.

"Of course. I'll take yo—"

"—I'll take you home."

Ladybug turned to see Foxglove step forward, tensely.

There was something off about him; she couldn't put her finger on it.

But he looked like he'd resolved his mind.

"Alright," she agreed. "Then it's settled."

With a simple nod, Foxglove wrapped an arm around Carmin and vaulted into the air, enroute to her house.

Bumblewing sighed.

"Well, I'd better be going, too. I'd promised a friend that I'd only be a few minutes, but seeing as it's been three hours—he's gonna be livid."

"He?" asked Remmytail, quirking his eyebrow. "Does Little B have a boyfriend?"

The bee-themed heroine laughed.

"Him? My boyfriend? Goodness, no. We're just friends—he thinks so, too."

Ladybug smiled as Remmytail obviously relaxed at the news.

He and Bumblewing bounded off in different directions after bidding the others 'Goodbye.'

Blushing, Ladybug turned to face the man behind her.

"I just remembered; I never got your name."

The man in the black super-suit smiled, kindly.

"King Noir, at your service, Ladybug." He made a small bow.

"Well then," began Ladybug. "'Till we meet again, My King."

With a flourish, she threw her yo-yo and zipped off into the distance.

Seconds later, Ladybug landed safe inside her garden walls.

"Spots off."

Laila felt the transformation drop.

"Great job, Laila!" came the high voice of her kwami, Tikki. "You did wonderfully; especially considering the fact that it was your first fight! I'm so glad that you made friends with the other heroes!"

"Thank you, Tikki."

Laila smiled, warmly.

She felt her mind wander.

She thought about his dark hair, tan skin, and his deep brown-green eyes.

She felt a blush grace upon her pale cheeks.

My King.

Hey!!

What did you think?!

Did you like it?

Were the descriptions good?

I will have you know; I procrastinated on this for about 3 weeks. I had big-time Writer's Block.

But, if it makes you feel any better, I'll be posting regularly, now. (Hopefully)

Why is that, you ask?
Well....

Drum roll, please.

I GOT AN IPAD!!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaa!! I'm so happy!!

I talked to my parents about how hard it is to write on my phone's touch keyboard, so we put our heads together (and our money XD) and we bought me an iPad, a cover, and a Bluetooth keyboard that makes writing so much easier!!!

So, hopefully, I can write and post more often.

But, to make sure that I don't get behind, again, I'm gonna have to get serious about only posting once every week or two.

That way, I can write one or two oneshots during that week and post the one that I already had written, on that appointed day.

So, I hereby declare Saturdays as my posting day.

'''''

On a note about the story; I'm glad that we finally got some interaction with the characters!

Now it isn't just a sophisticated angsty book about Carmin.

We actually have dialogue and descriptions now!!!
Yayyyyyy!

But, wow, that fight scene was the cheesiest and most wince-worthy thing I've ever written.

Wait.....

*looks back at first MLB Oneshots*

Nevermind.

'''''

Oooooooooh boy was this hard to write.

It was supposed to be between 500–1,000 words...

But it turned out to be between 6,000–7,000.

So, you're welcome.

This was the product of my blood, sweat, and tears.

Okay, that didn't actually happen to me, I guess; but it felt like it!!!

In reality, it was the product of 3 weeks of procrastination and writer's block, considering giving up on being a writer, several late nights of slow writing, craving Taco Bell, and a bucket of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream.

Now for the questions:

#1. What did you guys think of Carmin/Muteineer?

#2. Were her outfit and powers cool?

#3. Did you think it was sweet how her powers, outfit, and theme was inspired by her sister? 🥺

#4. Do you think her reason for wanting to harm the Su boys was justified?

#5. Which character is your favorite, so far?

#6. What about character dynamics? Like, how two characters act with each other.

(For me, I love Foxglove and Remmytail's dynamic. They act like bickering siblings who—deep down—love each other. )

#7. Also, did you have a favorite superhero outfit?

(For instance, Ladybug's warrior maiden outfit, Bumblewing's winged kimono, or Remmytail's armored suit.)

#8. Finally, what's your favorite ship?

(I'm all for Remmywing)

'''''

P.S. You know the scene, earlier, about Remmytail and Foxglove bickering about stuff?

This one:

Foxglove sniggered and brought his hand up to his face.
"Think my name's funny, do you?" Remmytail countered. "Well at least it isn't a flower."

"I didn't choose my name after a fl—!"
"—Boys!"

Well, here's a tad bit different version of the scene. PLZ let me know if you get either of the three references!!

(I changed the first one up a little to fit the story, but that's it.)

Foxglove sniggered and brought his hand up to his face.

"Think my name's funny, do you?" Remmytail countered. "Well there's no need to ask who you are. Brown-red hair, and a hand-me-down Orange robe; you must be a Weasley."

"A hand-me-down robe?! A hand me down robe?! My father will hear about thi—!!"

"—Ugh!!" Ladybug groaned and facepalmed. "Girls, girls; you're both pretty!! Can I go home, now?!!"

Hehehe

I love Megamind. It's such a great movie.

'''''

Okay, this is random, but should I name my iPad? XD

Do you have any name suggestions? XD

Maybe I should call it Tikki? Or a made-up kwami name?

If it helps to name it, the iPad has a blush-pink case, the lock-screen is a Harry Potter thing, and the home screen is of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream.

'''''

Comments?

Questions?

I'm not taking requests, right now. I'm kinda trying to catch up on them. (I have all the way to #41 planned, but I need to write them XD)

'''''

Have a nice day!!

Love ya!

<3 Katie
