The rest of the day had been nothing short of spectacular. After what seemed like a million thank yous, blushes, and hugs, the teenagers were as thrilled as they could possibly be. It was, without a doubt, the most memorable day of their life. After the moment Adrien and Marinette shared, the teens proceeded to ride almost every single ride in the amusement park. Of course, Alya took it upon herself to select the most romantic rides available. She only had one day before returning to the other side of the world, and she planned to make sure her two best friends confessed their love for each other and lived happily ever after.
Marinette smiled at how the day had turned out. During the first few rides, things between Adrien and her were a little awkward. Neither one of them talked much. It seemed as if they were the only friends amongst a world of couples. Everywhere they looked, they witnessed loving couples sharing their romantic moments. It didn't help that their friends were also in a committed relationship, making them feel like the odd ones out. That was until Alya persuaded Adrien to make a move.
-Flashback-
Marinette observed as the couples next to her and Adrien, her "best friend," wasn't afraid to express their love with passionate kisses.
She secretly envied them. Not in a negative way, of course, but as in she wished she had that type of relationship. She wanted a relationship that was passionate and loving. One that is not ashamed to be shown to the world.
Marinette knew that type of passion was heart-felt and most certainly not forced or planned. For some reason, her relationship with Luka was not like that. At least it did not feel that way to her.
Unknown to most, the farthest she and Luka had gotten to was kisses on the cheek. Sadly, even that felt a bit awkward for her. It was not that she didn't want him to kiss her, but every time he did, she couldn't help but think of how a year ago she hoped it was Adrien who did.
Marinette frowned, not realizing she had been staring. Why was she feeling that way? She pictured herself sharing her love with someone the same way, but why did she see Adrien with her in that picture? No, she couldn't! Marientte shook her head, attempting to get that crazy thought out of it.
Alya noticed as Marinette stared at the couple to her left with a frown. Walking closer to Adrien, she whispered in his ear. "What are you waiting for, a new day? Say something, do something, show her your love before it's too late." Adrien nodded before taking a deep breath and walking a step closer to where Marinette stood.
"Are you okay, M'lady?" His sweet and attractive voice rang in her ears, making her shiver.
"Y-yeah," Marinette stuttered. Adrien smiled. It reminded him of when they had first met. If only he had realized she liked him then, he wouldn't have felt so much pain watching her with Luka. "It's just, well, everyone here seems so in love. Doesn't it bother you or makes you feel left out?" She continued, nervously speaking as she fidgeted with her fingers. The last thing she wanted was to make things awkward between them again.
Marinette was surprised when Adrien responded with a head shake. "No, it doesn't." Watching her stare at him in surprise, he continued. "I mean, I am also here with the girl I love. True is not how I wished it was, and it's true we can't be like them, but I am here with you anyways, even if our relationship is complicated at the moment. I guess I am just happy to be able to spend this time with you. Your company is all I need. Who knows, maybe one day that can actually be us. Maybe one day, you will realize you love me as much as I love you."
Adrien was not sure how or what gave him the guts to say the things he did, but at the moment, he could care less. What was important was that he finally said what he had been thinking all day. He wanted her, and he hoped that soon she would realize that she wanted him just as badly.
Marinette's heart pounded erratically. She mentally cursed her teenage hormones. Why were they acting up now? She was not sure if it was just her or it was Adrien's actions. Adrien always knew what to say. It was as if he knew what to do to drive her body, heart, and mind crazy.
Upon her silence, Adrien spoke again with confidence, "you know, that could still be us today? We could give it a try."
Feeling both surprised and confused at his words, Marinette spoke up. "W-what mean you? I mean, what do you mean?" Marinette mentally cursed her stuttering.
"I mean, I could be your boyfriend. J-just for today. I know I won't be able to kiss you, but we could do other couple stuff. We could hold hands and hug. I'm already in love with you so it would be easy and I could show you how it would be like if you gave me a chance. I can show you how I feel for you. Of course if- if you want," Adrien hoped with all his might that she would agree. He wanted it more than anything right now. He wanted her.
Marinette wanted to say yes right away. She wanted him to hold her tightly as he had last night, but Luka popped up in her mind.
"I- I don't think that is the best idea, Adrien. I know that in the end, it will only cause you pain. I don't want to hurt you, kitty," Marinette whispered, watching Adrien visibly deflate. But even then, Adrien refused to give up.
"If I get hurt, then it will be on me. I will have to find a way to heal the hurt. Princess, all I have wanted this past month is to be able to call you mine, even if it was only for a day. I need this. I need you. Please, let me show you what true love is because deep inside, I know you love me too, Mari. Give me the chance to prove to you that no one can love you as I do. Let me show you what a relationship with me would look like, and if at the end of the day you still feel like Luka is the one for you, then I will understand," he begged.
Before she thought of it through, Marinette found herself nodding and agreeing. Who was she kidding? She wanted it just as bad as he did. She wanted to know how it would feel like to be with the blonde. "O-okay."
At the sound of her voice, Adrien's heart soared. He was so happy that he couldn't help but pull her into a hug. "Thank you, Princess," he whispered in her ear lovingly. Marinette held back tears. She had no idea something so small could mean so much to him. All he asked for was one day with her. To most guys, a day would be nothing, but not Adrien. He was not like most guys. Adrien was truly unique.
"Then, what are we waiting for, M'lady? Allow your prince to make this the best day ever."
-End of flashback-
The rest of the day consisted of hand-holding, laughter, long loving hugs, kisses on the cheeks, romantic rides, and much more. Adrien felt as if he was in heaven. It was everything he dreamt of, and Adrine loved it. As much as it would hurt when it was all over, Adrien couldn't help but allowed himself to believe it was. It felt like it.
In the beginning, Adrien was scared he would go too far. As time went by, he slowly did more and more. His heart skipped a beat every time as it excited him that Marinette never attempted to stop him. Now more than ever, he believed Alya's words.
Marinette, on the other hand, was having trouble controlling herself. The more Adrien did, the more she wanted. She knew they were going too far. Marinette knew this was wrong and shouldn't allow it, but the teen loved it just as badly as he did. Never before had she felt what she was feeling right now. It was as if it was always meant to be this way. Every time Adrien would lean in and kiss her cheek, the shy bluenette wished it had been her lips. Why did she feel this way?
Then teens sat up high in the air as the Ferris wheel slowly went around. Marinette admired the view. She could almost see all of Paris from up there. It was simply beautiful. Adrien admired Marinette. Unlike Marinette, Adrien had seen all of Paris many times during commercials and modeling tours, and yet he still believed it was not as beautiful as the girl sitting next to him. Reaching for her hand, he held on to her tightly. If only the day didn't have to end.
"Thank you, M'lady," Adrien said lovingly as their eyes met. "For today, for everything. Thank you for allowing me to at least have a day to call you mine. You have no idea how much it means to me. You truly are amazing. I-I know this has to end soon, but I need to let you know that-" Adrien hesitated. He knew he was pushing it too far already, but he had to tell her.
"I- I love you, Marinette. Your beauty, intelligence, kindness, talent, heart, and everything in between makes you perfect. At least to me." Adrien smiled as he said the last words.
"I want you to know that if after all that has happened today you still feel like Luka is the one for you, then as much as it would hurt, I understand. I will be okay, as long as I can still call you my best friend." Adrien's eyes filled with tears as he thought of having to bear watching Marinette and Luka together again. It was so hard.
Holding back his tears, Adrien continued as he reached to cup the cheek. "Princess, I rather have you in my life as a friend than as nothing at all. You are my everything, the only person I have but the only one I will ever need. I love you with all my heart, M'lady. I lov-" Before Adrien could finish, he was silenced by Marinette's lips as they found his.
Marinette could not fight it any longer. She needed him, and she wanted him. Adrien stiffened as her lips met his. He was not expecting it, but he loved it. It only took him a second to relax and melt into her kiss. Kissing her back passionately, his free hand wrapped around her, bringing her even close to him. Their lips molded together as if they were always meant to find each other. It was unlike anything either one had ever felt before. Nothing could compare to the feeling in their hearts the second their lips met. It was the first and most outstanding kiss of their lives.
After what seemed like the most amazing kiss in the world, the two young teens pulled back for air. A big smile adorned their faces as they both sat silently wishing the day would never end. Marinette then leaned her head on Adrien's shoulder, and the two sat in peaceful silence.

The young man watched as the two teens looked so in love. He felt his blood boil. He observed Adrien as he chased after a laughing Marinette. It only angered him more when Adrien picked her up and spun her around as if they were in some sort of romance film. Marinette wore the biggest smile he had ever seen.
His teeth gritted together as he watched them walk hand in hand towards the ice cream cart where their friends were waiting for them. All so happy about the occurring events. To him, it was apparent what Adrien was attempting to do, but he was there to stop it.
He waited in the shadows for a minute and watched as the teens all sat down on a nearby bench, engaging in what seemed like an amusing conversation. His blood boil, the second his blonde nemesis placed his arm around the bluenette's shoulder, making her lean into him. That was when he decided enough was enough. Moving quickly, he walked up to them.
"Hey, baby," he called out, sending Adrien a smirk as he looked up, making him immediately stiffen and remove his arm from around the bluenette. How bad could his luck be? He was finally about to share a sweethearts ice cream with the love of his life, but it had to be interrupted by the musician.
Adrien frowned as he watched Marinette quickly stand up, dropping the ice cream in the process.
"Luka? What are you doing here?"
