MJ's POV

I'm watching TV in the lounge when Damon arrives with Stefan. They come into the lounge room with Elena. They tell us about the chat they had with Katherine. "You don't believe her, do you?" Elena asks them.

"No, of course not. We just want the moonstone" Damon states.

"The stone that is used to break the sun and moon curse with Elena as a sacrifice?" I demand.

"Yes, that stone" Damon states.

"According to Rose's friend Slater, there's a way to destroy the spell that Klaus wants to break" Stefan tells us.

"No spell, no doppelgänger sacrifice. Ergo, Elena lives" Damon tells me. I smile clapping my hands. I like the sound of my cousin not dying.

"How do you destroy it?" I ask them.

"By releasing it from the moonstone" Stefan answers.

"How do you guys even know this is gonna work?" Elena asks them.

"Cause we have a crafty witch on our side" Damon tells her.

"You discussed it with Bonnie?" Elena asks them.

"She agreed to do anything she could to help us" Stefan states.

"It's Katherine who has the moonstone. She's not gonna give it to you" Elena tells them.

"We're going to get it from her" Stefan states.

"Well, what he means to say is, we will pry it from her cold, dead hand if we have too" Damon states. Elena glares at him

"Child present" she reminds him.

"Bonnie just needs to find a way to release the seal long enough for us to get in, get the moonstone, and get out in time for her to return it" Stefan explains.

"Wow. I mean, it sounds like you guys already have it all planned out" Elena states.

"Yep, we're awesome" Damon says cocky as ever.

"Except for one thing. I don't want you to do it" Elena states. Stefan and Damon exchange looks. While I look at Elena shocked.

"What are you talking about? Elena, we don't have a choice" Stefan tells her.

"What about Klaus?" Elena asks.

"He doesn't know you exist" I remind her.

"And if he does, we'll deal with him after we get the moonstone" Stefan states.

"Is that before or after he kills everyone that I care about, including the three of you?" Elena asks. Damon wraps an arm around me.

"Elena, if we can de-spell the moonstone, we can save your life" Stefan tells her.

"I know. Everybody keeps saying that" Elena says. Elena gets up and leaves the room. Stefan and Damon exchange a look again.

"We won't let anyone die right?" I ask the Salvatores.

"Of course not MJ" Damon assures me.

"Nothing will happen to any of us" Stefan adds.

"Ok, can I see Bonnie?" I ask them.

"I'm gonna call her now" Damon tells me. I smile. I can finally ask about witches. He messages her and he drives us to the Salvatore Boarding house. When we arrive we go the parlor and Damon gives me a glass of water while we waited for Bonnie.

She soon arrived with Jeremy and the boys tell them the situation. "I might be able to lower the tomb spell long enough for you to get in there and grab the moonstone from Katherine" Bonnie tells them.

"How? It took both you and your Grams last time, and look what happened to her" Jeremy tells her.

"I thought your grams died from a heart attack?" I say confused.

"That's what we told people" Bonnie states. "I'm well aware of what happened. I've learned a few new things" she tells Jeremy. "How will you get it?" she asks the Salvatores.

"She hasn't been feeding. She's weaker. We're not" Stefan explains as Damon has a glass of blood.

"Eww" I say and Jeremy chuckles giving me a side hug.

"You wouldn't be underestimating her, would you?" Bonnie asks them.

"It's a plan. Is it perfect? What plan is?" Damon asks her.

"Let me do it. I've got my ring. I can get in, get out, no spells necessary" Jeremy states.

"What ring?" I ask confused.

"Gee, thanks, you 16-year-old child. Why didn't we think about that? Why are you even here?" Damon asks him.

"Maybe I can help better the plan. Do you have anything that belongs to Katherine?" Bonnie asks them. Damon looks over at Stefan, significantly. Who went and got a photo of Katherine from 1864.

"This belonged to Katherine. Found it with her things after I thought she was dead, but it was hers" he tells Bonnie. Bonnie places the portrait in a ceramic bowl. She dips her fingers in a glass of water and lets the water droplets drip from her fingertips into the bowl. Flames sprout from the bowl, I look at it awed. Bonnie shuts her eyes and begins to chant a spell in Latin.

"Wow" I say and Jeremy shushes me. Bonnie soon finishes and there's a pile of ash in the bowl.

"What will this do?" Damon asks her.

"I can turn the metal into ash. Blow the ashes on her, and it'll incapacitate her for a minute or two. Long enough for you to get the stone and get out" Bonnie explains.

"Cool, can I ask you some questions?" I ask her hopeful.

"Sure" she says and we go over to the couch. "So what do you want to know?" she asks me.

"Are there wizards? Do you have a wand? Are there potions?" I ask her.

"They prefer the term warlock, no wands. There are elixirs and herbs. But I don't know many, I'm better at spells" she states. "Anything else?" she asks me.

"Not really" I tell her.

"Well if you ever have a question related to magic or witches. I'll be happy to answer them" she tells me.

"Oh, I thought of another thing. Spell books" I state.

"They are called grimoires. Each witch writes one with all their magical knowledge. Some are passed down through several generations. Grimoires vary in content, depending on the witches who own them. Making some more valuable than others given their unique and powerful spells. They can also vary in size and are generally aesthetically beautiful, bound in leather and contain pages of parchment; others seem only like old books with torn page" she explains. "I'll show you my families one sometime" she adds.

"I'd like that" I tell her.

"Time to go" Stefan states.

"Where's Jeremy?" I ask him confused.

"No idea, will you be ok getting home?" Stefan asks me.

"Can you call Caroline?" I ask him. He nods his head telling me to wait here. He then left with the other two. Caroline soon arrives and takes me home. Before going to her place to see Tyler. "Elena!" I call and no answer. Strange, I wonder where she is. She's suppose to look after me today with mum at work.

I do my homework. Before going onto Netflix and watch some cartoon. Until Bonnie appears with an injured Jeremy. "What happened?!" I demand as I run over to my cousin.

"Nothing important MJ, I'll be fine" Jer assures me. "I'm home, okay? I don't need an escort to my room" he tells Bonnie. He opens up the medicine cabinet and takes out a bandage.

"Oh, I don't know. Between here and upstairs there's still time for you to do something stupid" Bonnie snaps.

"I already feel bad. I don't need you to berate me" Jeremy grumbles.

"What happened?" I ask Bonnie.

"Your cousin went on a suicide mission. Now Stefan is stuck in the tomb with Katherine and I can't get him out" she states.

"Elena won't like that" I state.

"Where is Elena?" Jeremy asks me.

"No idea, she wasn't here when I got home" I tell him.

"Go get ready for bed, I have to talk to Bonnie" he tells me. I nod my head and go upstairs. I get ready for bed and hear Bonnie leave. As I finish doing my teeth I hear Elena return and go to the stairs.

"MJ, you should be in bed" Elena states when she sees me.

"Stefan is stuck in the tomb with Katherine, thought you'd want to know" I tell her.

"What?" she exclaims. Jeremy appears and explains it. Elena and Damon leave to go see Damon. While Jeremy tucks me in reading me a story.
