Suni nahi, zamanay ne teri meri kahaniyan...
Karde koi, nawazishe karam, meherbanian...

Ye arzoo thee kay dekhe ye dunya..
Hum jesa koi deewana hi nahi!
__________

Exact same thing happened that azlan shah was dreading. Meherwish was not talking to him again. She was legit ignoring him. Everynight she would silently sneak away into the guest room and he was not able to do anything to stop her. She was extremely upset. He felt like strangling azka for ruining everything.
......

Meher had started work at shah industries, mr shah had given her all the authorities and ignoring all that her heart said she was very efficiently doing her work. She was putting in all her efforts in this job. She had a huge office to herself.

Today she was to attend a very important meetimg with mr shah and she was thoroughly ready for that. They had cracked the deal and mr shah was extremely happy and impressed by mehers intellect.

"She is a gem azlan!" Mr shah said smiling at the dinner table.

"Meri beti!" Ama jan cooed.

"We are lucky to have you in our lives meher bachay." Mr shah praised again and she smiled trying to hold back her tears. No one had ever said it to her. This word, this sentence meant alot.

"Main humesha aisi beti ya beta chahta tha or khuda ne humain tumhe dedia. Iss nalaik ko bhi kuch sikhao."
Patting her head mr shah said. Azlan was silently observing it all.

"Tum kiun khamosh ho, jealous hogaye ho?" Mr shah teased him.

"Main kiun honga jealous, you guys should be thankful to me because of me she is amongst us." He teased back.

"Chalo iska credit bhi tum lelo barkhurdar!" Mr shah smiled.

"Sun rahi ho apne shohar ki baten meher. Chalak kahin ka."
Mrs shah chuckled. She looked at the old couples happy faces and she felt hammers in her heart. How could she ever leave them?

Wishing them a goodnight she retired to her room and azlan was quick to follow.

"Meher ruko meri baat sunlo please." Seeing him enter the room she quickly picked up her laptop to leave the room.

"Jee farmaiye." She stopped in her tracks saying sarcasticly.

"Mere azka logo kay sath koi bhi plan nahi tha usdin, I swear. They just showed up and I..." He started but she was quick to cut him through.

"Mujhe explanations dene ki tumhe koi zaroorat nai hai. Tum jo karo mujhe ussay fark nahi parta." She had said.

"Tum khafa ho?" He asked.

"Nahi bilkul bhi nahi. Main aise hi over react kargai, mera khafa hona banta nahi hai."
Replying she walked ahead trying to cross him from his side when he held her hand.

"Kiya chahtay ho ezi?" Sighing she asked. Extremely tired.

"Aik smile. Please. Or aj yaheen sojao, promise kuch nahi kahunga."
He pleaded leaving her wrist and taking a deep breath she nodded.

"Smile!" He voiced out again blocking her way.

"Bohat dheet ho ezi!" Rolling her eyes she smiled.

"Ye chez mere azeez! Aise khoobsurat lagti ho!" He grinned before getsuring her to sleep on the bed while he made himself comfortable on the couch.

_________

"Tum saqib se contact main nahi ho kiya aj kal?" They both were seated in the lawn when azlan asked.

"Busy hoo main and you know that." She said sipping her tea.
She was just too shut from many days . She was contemplating on this issue. Saqib had also told her to get free till next month but her heart was going against all this. Her conscience was telling her something was definitely off.

"Meher wo tumse milna chahta hai, wo aj kal lahore main hai or chahta hai kay tum wahan jao for two or three days. He wants to discuss the matters with you." Looking into her eyes he said with a heavy heart.

He was extremely disturbed from a week. He was not hanging around with his friends anymore neither he could go out with other girls or talk to them. His mind was only stuck at meher. He wanted to keep her, to stop her but ofcourse the contract and her life choice always came in between.

On top of that saqib was seeming fishy. Till now roman could only figure out that he had a huge family of 9 siblings and his two old parents which he was financially supporting and went to qatar for a few days only then his visa had expired. So it meant he lied about the missed flight. He was still digging in but nothing was found further. Azlan knew that meher already knew all this.
The thing that was now bothering him was that meher did not know about the money saqib was taking from him.
Since day one saqib had asked that in replacement of the contract azlan would have to pay. Azlan had initially thought that ofcourse the girl would be imvolved in all this and he had thought about the girl the other way. Ofcourse paying money was not a deal for azlan and he was fine with it. Atleast he was getting his work done but after seeing meher he was shocked. She was not that sort of a girl at all. She was a well respected girl of the university, students and teachers spoke good words about her. She carried a good reputation also. And also in the period of four months he was damn sure she was pure and naive. She was never concerned about money, she was an independant girl.
Now it was bothering him that saqib was using her, he had trapped her and was not a good person also. Specially when in karachi meher asked astonished as to why he was giving money to saqib had confused azlan all the more.
The only problem was that he couldent just tell all this to meher. He couldent hurt her. He had to plan something to let her know.

"Kis chez kay mutalik baat karna chahta hai wo?" She asked.

"To end this contract. Humari divorce and all..." He sighed telling her. He had noticed her face had gone all pale.

"Main kahin nahi jaa rahi." She murmurred.

"Matlab?" He questioned.

"Tumhe andaza hai Tum bol kia rahay ho? Tum keh rahay ho kay main 2 din kay liye saqib kay sath chali jau munh utha kar." She asked unbelievable.

"Tumne akhir usi k sath hi jana hai meher." He looked at her with red blood eyes. He seemed disturbed.

"Nikkah karke azlan! Main tumhare ghar hoon kiunke nikkah kia hai tumse. Humari ghalti hai humne nikkah jaise pak rishtay ko mazaq banaya.
Lekin contract tha ya jo bhi tha, hai humara aik halal rishta azlan!.
Wo mera na mehram hai. Nikkah bagher kese jau uske sath. 2 din akele! Kuch hosh karlo! Tum logo ne mujhe samajh kia rakha hai. Majboor hoo per ghatiya aurat nahi."
she said heart broken. She felt insulted. It all felt like a stinging slap.
Digesting in her words he sighed.

"Aik baat boloo meher." He said.

"Aur kuch baki hai to wo bhi kehdo." She seemed hurt.

"Main ghalat tha. Tum bohat achi ho, aik bohat achi larki ho tum. Mene humesha tumhe sabke sath boundries me rehte dekha hai. Tum khas ho, or pak bhi.
Thats what always draws me close to you, it was never lust I swear.
Or tum nahi jana chahti to tum nahi jaogi. Aj kay bad tumhari marzi kay khilaf kuch nahi hoga. Saqib kuch baten ghalat bolta raha hai, jhoot bhi, me yakeen karleta tha per ab nahi karunga. Me islye bata raha hoo kay tumhe pata ho iss bat ka."
Calculating his words properly he said in a meaningful tone. His words had her heart churn. Wetness had made its way to her doe like deep eyes.

"Thankyou." She murmurred before seeing his broad retreating back. He was moving away from her physically but deep down he had taken a step further in her heart.

_______

"Maam, sir shah is calling you in his office." Secratory had come in saying. Nodding she walked inside mr shah's office.

"Jee baba sayeen." Entering his office she voiced out but stopped in her tracks seeing azlan already present there.

"Dekho isko samjhao, me isko bol raha hoo tumhare sath muzafarabad meeting attend karne chala jaye per baat hi nahi sunraha."
Mr shah said and she looked over at azlan.

"Apne to khud jana tha na baba sayeen." She asked hesitating.

"Meri tabiat nahi theek bachay or isko bhi buisness ka kuch pata hona chahiye. Kuch to karle." Mrs shah stated and she sighed in her heart. The two were continously avoiding eachother from a week and tommorow they were to meet with saqib to end all that was going on and now they had to travel together. "Nava sayapa" she thought.

_______

"I swear I tried to avoid it all but baba sayeen was just too adamant."
They had hit the road. They were on their way to muzafarabad when after a 30 minute silence azlan voiced out.

"Mene kuch kaha?" Looking over at him she chuckled giving up all the seriousness.

"Socha to hoga na..." He continued.

"Soch ye rahi hoo kay iss meeting kay baray main tumhe kuch nahi pata or baba jan ne bhejdia tumhe. Ab mujhse kuch blunder hua to cover up kaise hoga." Pouting she voiced out her thoughts.

"Itna anari nahi hoo, baba sayeen kay bohat siyapay handle karchuka hoo akele or uske ilawa unke sath bhi meetings attend kiye hain. Aur ap per meher jee humain poora bharosa hai!"
He chuckled.

"Ye sunker kuch tasali hui sach main." She smiled.

_______

In about two hours they had reached the city. The meeting was to be held in about 3 hours. Muzafarabad was beautiful. It was the land of beautiful rivers.

"Khana khaalen kahin?" Entering the busy bazar azlan asked.

"Wahan darya kay kinare dhabay per khatay hain?" She suggested seeing a road side hotel with the view of river jhelum. The view was spectacular.

"As per the maam's wishes." Smiling he turned the car around.

She had ordered some pakoras with tea as she was not hungry yet while azlan had ordered a paratha and tea along with an ommelette as he had skipped breakfast. The breakfast was very delicious, specially the tea.

"Nice choice meher, i never had anything from a dhaba before." Sipping on the last sip of his tea he stated.

"You missed alot then!" She chuckled and pulling on his raybans he lighted up his cigarette. In a span of four months she had gotten used to the smell of the expensive tobacco she once got headaches with.

"You are Ruining yourself." She stated looking towards him.

"I know!" He scoffed.

"Phir bhi?" She questioned.

"Phir bhi!" He replied.

"Wajah?" She further asked looking at the flowing water which spread for miles and miles. They were now sitting by the bank of the river.

"Adat bangai aur kuch adaten jald na badli jayen to sari zindagi sath rehti hain."
Teasing the flowing water with his hand he replied.

"Kabhi kabhi achi or gehri baten karlete ho azlan shah." She smiled.

"Yaad karogi?" All of a sudden he asked.

"Kia?" She closed her eyelids.

"Meri baten! Kabhi fazool kabhi gehri batain..." He murmurred pinching her heart in the process.

"Ezi, tum kaisi baaten kar rahe ho." She barely voiced out.

"Batao na meher, kiya main yaad aunga tumhe, meri koi aik baat to achi hogee na?" Disposing his cigarette away he held her hands and asked.

"Haan yaad aogay tum." She whispered. Tears ready to break the barriers.

"Bohat yaad aogay, tumhari har baat, har aik baat mere dil ko bhaati hai azlan shah gardezi, main tumhe pal pal yaad karungi." Her heart had whispered but lips stayed sealed.

"Kabhi milne aogi." He asked further and she looked at him helplessly.

"Azlan, chalo chalen. Meeting se dair hojayegi." Getting up she said holding his hand.

"Hmm, chalo!" He whispered.

________

The meeting was a success. Azlan shah was marvelous in the buisness world. She had never seen him this professional before. The way he had managed to crack the deal when she was so upset minded.

"Congrats maam, we did it!" Coming out of the conference hall he said.

"Dont be so generous, it was you who legit did it!" She smiled.

"Achaa??? Shah industries ki top most manager ye keh rahi hai aik university student ko! Means alot maam!" He chuckled.

"You were brilliant azlan!" She said holding his hand but got extremely worried as he was burning in fever.

"Ezi are you feeling okay?" Standing in the hotels lobby she touched his forehead and it was burning. She looked at his face keenly which seemed reddish.

"Alittle down." He murmurred. His eyes were droopy too.

"Tumhe taiz bukhar hai aur tumhe iss chez ka ehsas hi nahi."
Sighing she pulled his hand making him sit on a couch. Rummaging through her bag she had found a painkiler. Ordering a water bottle she fed him a tablet.

"Theek hoon main yar, na karo aise, bus chalen wapis."
Gulping down the tablet he stated.

"We cant travel in this condition ezi. Main doctor ka pata karti hoo, wait."
They were luckily in a five star hotel as the meeting was held there.
Letting ama jan and baba sayeen know about ezi's fever she had booked them a room. A doctor was also arranged in mere minutes.

"He has got infection hence the fever. He might get chills so its better stay the night here." Handing her some tablets and taking a heavy fee the doctor walked away.

"Ye iss hotel ka 2 number dr hai, ye sirf apnay hotel kay buisness barhanay kay liye bol kar gaya hai, nahi rehte yahan, please chalo wapis."
Azlan voiced out.

"Chup karjao ezi! Mazeed pareshan mat karo ! Tumhe wapis janay ki itni fikr kiun hai?"
She said angrily.

"Kal ka din saqib pindi main hai, ussay milna kal zaroori hai tumhara, meri wajah se miss na ho bus!" He said and she felt like banging his head somewhere.

"Nahi milungi kal ussay to marr nahi jaungi! Ab aik lafz aur nahi ezi!" She yelled alittle this time and being intimidated alittle he kept silent making himself comfy on the bed.

She had ordered in some porridge and warm milk for him through room service and he cringed looking at the food. He was  very annoying to deal in sickness.

"Ye main nahi khaunga." He said pushing the tray away.

"Ezi tang mat karo, chupchap khalo, dawai bhi leni hai, bukhar barhta hi jaa raha hai." She sounded worried. It had all happened so unexpectedly and when they were out of their city.

"Mene aj tak zindagi main ye mareezo wali ghaza nahi khai, ab bhi nahi khaunga, roti chahiye."
He sounded like a 5 year old. Having had enough she picked up the tray and opening the porridge's wrap she sat beside him on the bed and filling the spoon she brought it close to his mouth.

"Kiya yar meher, main bacha nahi hoo!" He whined at her stubborness.

"Harkaten bacho wali hain, ab munh kholo shabash, karo aaa!"
She mocked and giving up he obliged.
Feeding him half the bowl she had forcefully made him drink the milk and feeding him his tablets she forcefully tucked him into the bed making herself comfortable on the couch.

Sleep was long gone from her eyes. Her gaze was stick around the bed. Very unwantedly this guy had become an important sphere of her life. He had just gotten a fever buy her heart was going crazy. She wanted his well being.
"Did she love him?" This question was bothering her.
"What about saqib?" She shut her eyes at this.

A girl so love deprived like her should never had gotten herself into this scenario but she never knew azlan and his family would be so nice.
Meherwish never had a stormy kind of love with saqib either. She was just so tired of her abusive households that she had made good aquantice with him plus he was a good talker. She had found an escape from those acidic people through him. She just had wanted a halal relationship with him. All she wanted was a nikkah and to leave her step fathers house but the circumstnce had led her to azlan shah gardezi and now leaving him was a like a jab to the heart. It was hurting.....

"Meher!" At around 2 at night azlan groaned in sleep and she had rushed to him. He was again burning in fever.

"Azlan utho, dawai lelo shabash."  Patting his cheak she made him sit up and forcefully feeding him a biscuit she gave him two panadols before putting him back to sleep.

"Sir main bohat dard hai meher." Holding her hands he whined. Pulling a chair beside him she had started giving him a head massage and it was not long when he had drifted off to sleep and so had she in the same position on a chair.

______

At around 5 in the morning azlan woke up. Groaning he looked around to find meher in a chair, her hand still on his forehead, she looked extremely uncomfortable and that too for him. Sitting up he hekd her hand and removed it from his forehead and getting down he had picked her up in his arms.

Her eyed had opened and loking at him in the mild light she tried to wrap her head around what was going on.

"Azlan! Kiya kar rahe ho? Neeche utaro mujhe" She asked wiggling in his grip. Her eyes fully opened now.

"Bed per aram se sojao tum."  Placing her down on the bed he murmurred.
Leaning over at her he fixed the pillow behind and her breath hitched at his closeness. She had wanted to embrace him in a tight hug. She had wanted to hide in his chest.

"Sojao" Breaking the eye contact azlan straightened up and turned to leave when she held his wirst.

"Kahan?" She cocked up her brow.

"Couch per , tum aram se sojao." Trying to pull away he said and she smiled at his gentlemanish behaviour.

"Idhar ajao, yaheen sojao." Nugding on his arm she said.

"You sure?" He asked.

"Yes mr beemar!" She chuckled and nodding his head he had lied beside her. Sleep long gone from both their eyes.

"Fever to nahi hai ab?" She asked and he shook his head in a no and turned to the other side.

Shuffling around alot she atlast moved closer to him and silently hugged his body from the back.

"Meher!" Tilting his head alittle her way he warned.

"Shhh, kuch mat bolo please." Whispering she wrapped her arms around him and sighing he silently closed his eyes.

_________

They had clearly overslept that morning. Waking at around two in the noon meher sat up. First thing she checked was his fever. She groaned as his body was again getting warmer.

Pulling away the quilt she went and freshened up. They did not have a bag packed neither any clothes hence she just sprayed on some perfume after shower and wore the same dress as last night. Ordering food she woke azlan up.

"Utho azlan, dopeher kay 2 baj rahe hain, wapis bhi nikalna hai."
Shaking him she said.

"Hmm, do minute aur sonay do please." He murmurred.

"Ezi utho shabash." Pulling him up she pushed him into the toilet.

Feeding him some soup and an egg she had given him tablets. Waiting for his fever to go down she went and cleared all the hotel bills.
He was loving how sorted she was. How caring she was.

Coming down into the parking lot he unlocked the car opening the drivers seat when she came from behind patting his shoulder.

"Haten mr, ap bukhaar kay sath nahi drive kar rahe." She smiled.

"I can manage." He said with droopy eyes.

"You cant, chabi mujje do!" She said sternly.

"Tum drive karsakti ho?" Handing her the keys he asked.

"Yeah, kabse chalai nahi per ati hai mujhe car chalana."
Smoothly pulling the car out of the parking lot she said.

"Nice meher! Mujhe nahi tha pata." He smiled.

"Meri ami ki saas jab beemar theen tab main seekhi thi. Poora saal unhe hospital le jana, le ana meri duty thi. "
She told him. Her smile had faded remembering them all.

"Meher." Holding his hand he said.

"Hmm." Not making obvious how affected she was with him holding her hand she answered.

"Tum bohat caring ho, sabki care karti ho. Or sabne tumhe for granted liya hua hai, tum gem ho, you are born to be cherished."
He said bringing her hand to his lips and sighing she pulled the car to the side.

"Kaisi behki behki batain kar rahe ho azlan, bukhar dimagh per to asar nahi kargaya?" She joked hiding her emotions behind a smile. She seemed torn.

"Dil per asar hua hai shayad! Or meher mujhe serious lia karo, meri baten behki hui nahi hain." Caressing her hand he replied.

"Hath choro, gari chalaloo.?" Starting the engine she said and nodding he slowly left her hand.
