The 1980's were such an iconic era for music, movies, and clothing - a great time to be a kid. So...I've decided to finally make a book of music and fun centered around that, for everyone to hopefully enjoy, pass on...and hopefully never forget that magical, wonderful time.

Making a mix tape back then was no small task. The time and patience that went into it - setting your tape deck up, waiting for just the right songs to come on, pushing the record and play buttons at the same time and then hitting stop before the DJ or pesky commercials could ruin it made it all so very personal and unique - no two ever alike. Not to mention that most of us took the extra time to decorate the tape or case with pretty writing, stickers, or drawings which made it even more special...a real labor of love. These were like friendship bracelets, only they said what you couldn't say - not with words, but with song.

This generation will sadly never get to give or receive that wonderful, fun experience on iTunes, Spotify, Pandora, or anywhere else. Everything now just seems so impersonal. 😢

It's the same with most music and movies today in my opinion - for the most part it's all crap - so fake and flat...merely cheap imitations of the greatness that once was.

So please join me on this musical trip of reminiscing...back to a time before auto tune, when people were truly talented and could sing, dance, and play real instruments.

My goal is to pass this nostalgia and knowledge on to the younger generation...back to a time when the boombox and Walkman ruled...as long as they didn't eat your tapes. 😂

It's sad that the only thing that this generation has to worry about being eaten is Tide pods... 

Anyway...let's ROCK ON!!!
