Next day at the college...

Swara is trying very hard to concentrate to what the teacher is saying about circuits and networks but all she could hear is continuous blabbering and whispers from Sanskaar...

Swara: (glares at Sanskaar) This is the last time warning you Sanskaar, keep quiet and let me listen.

Sanskaar smiles widely seeing her... Swara tries to concentrate back on the lecture when all of a sudden Sanskaar pokes his pen on her waist... Swara jumps out of shock and the teacher looks at them...

Teacher: (gives them a stern look and adjusting his glasses asks them) What's going on with you two... Swara...??
Swara: (stands up) Sir... he was... he...
Sanskaar: (teases her) Haan Swara... What about me...??

Swara glares at him and mouths him a "Shut Up"... Sanskaar grins at her... Just as she is about to say something the bell rings indicating the end of the lecture... She looks at Sanskaar and he winks at her...

Swara: (a bit irked) How do you even manage your grades when you don't even bother to study...!!
Sanskaar: You know... I'm born extra intelligent...!!
Swara: (rolls his eyes) Yeah right Mr. Self praiser...!!
Sanskaar: Wow... New nickname...!! You know, I kind of like the nicknames you discover for me everyday...!! I know you love me a lot...!!
Swara: Seriously Sanskaar...!! What wrong have I done to cross paths with you...??
Sanskaar: It's called good luck babes...!!
Swara: (rolls her eyes) Shut up...!!

The next lecture starts but before the lecturer could enter the class a few of the seniors enter the class... Sahil being one amongst them... Everyone in the class looks at the seniors...

Sahil: (arrogantly) Is this a way of greeting your seniors...??

Everyone: (except Sanskaar) Good morning Sir...!!

Sahil gives him an angry look to which Sanskaar just smirks... Sahil ignores him and turns his attention towards the rest of the class...

Sahil: So everyone... as per the ritual of our university we are going to organize a fresher's party for all of you...!! And this will held be on Sunday this weekend...!!
Another senior: All of you have to come and the dress code is western...!! Gowns and dresses for girls and tuxedos for boys...!!
Sahil: Oh and yes... the special announcement...!! You can bring your dates for the evening...!! Any boy can ask any girl... (he looks at Swara with a devilish smirk and Sanskaar notices this) Doesn't matter... senior or junior...!!

Swara gulps audibly and Sanskaar raises his hand... Sahil looks at him as if he has grown two heads...

Sahil: You have confusion in this also...??
Sanskaar: Actually it's a question...!!
Sahil: Shoot...!!
Sanskaar: Umm... actually... It's nothing....!! I can manage on my own...!!
Sahil: Did you actually have a question...??
Sanskaar: (grinning evilly) Umm... (behaves like thinking deeply) No...!!
Sahil: Then why did you interrupt me...??
Sanskaar: It's quite fun you know... Seeing that face of yours...!!

Sahil lunge towards Sanskaar but Kavita interrupts in between...

Kavita: Leave it naa Bhai...!! I guess you have to make this announcement in other batches also...!!

"Woah... look at what we have people...!! Our gas stove knows how to talk...!! How are your flames hottie... still enough to cook eggs...?? I actually missed my breakfast today...", Sanskaar says jumping in between the conversation...
Sahil: (angrily) You...!!
Kavita: (stops him) Bhai...!! I know he is joking...!! Isn't it Sanskaar...??

Sanskaar shrugs his shoulder and Kavita gives him an extra sweet smile... He rolls his eyes and looks at Swara...

Sahil: Hmm... I'll be leaving then... and I expect to see all of you at the party...!! (he says the last line looking at Swara as if it's specifically for her)

Sahil leaves the class along with other seniors...

The first half of the day gets over and its lunch break now... Sanskaar is walking towards the cafeteria along with Laksh... but he is lost in deep thoughts...

Laksh: Bhai... What are you thinking...?? Still lost in the thoughts of your mystery girl...??
Sanskaar: (coming back to his senses) Huhh...?? Not exactly...!! I was thinking about Sahil...!!
Laksh: Oh God Bhai...!! Are you alright...??
Sanskaar: Yeah... Why...??
Laksh: Instead of thinking about your mystery girl you are thinking about Sahil...!!
Sanskaar: This is serious Lucky...!!
Laksh: (worried) What happened...??
Sanskaar: I think something is up in Sahil's head... Back then when he came to our class to make the announcement... the way he was looking at Swara...!! I have a very bad feeling about this...!!
Laksh: But why are 'you' so worried...??
Sanskaar: Of course I am...!! I don't want her to get hurt...!! She is my friend...!!
Laksh: (raises his eyebrows) And when did you both become friends...??
Sanskaar: We... umm...
Laksh: Accept it bhai... she is not your friend yet...!!
Sanskaar: But we will be... very soon...!!
Laksh: And how are you going to do this...??

Sanskaar opens his mouth to say something but eventually stops on listening someone calling his name... Both of them turn to find Kavita walking towards them...

Sanskaar: (smirks) Look... our gas stove is here...!!
Kavita: (gives a fake smile) I like your humor Sanky...!! It's always been a pleasure to be around you...!!
Sanskaar: So sad couldn't say something about you... and its Sanskaar by the way...!!
Laksh: If you are done then can we go... I'm kind of feeling hungry...!!
Kavita: One minute... Actually... Sanskaar I wanted to ask would you be my date at the party...??
Sanskaar: Let me think... Hmm... (pretends to think and turns to Kavita after a moment) NO...!!
Kavita: What...?? Come on... you can't just say a NO to the most beautiful girl out there in the entire university...!!
Sanskaar: (pretends to get shocked) I did...?? Really... where is the girl...??
Kavita: Very funny...!! I know you are doing this because of that nerd... But don't worry because she is already taken...!!
Sanskaar: (furrows his eyebrow) What do you mean...??
Kavita: Bhai is taking her as his date...!!
Laksh: Sahil...?? Has he asked her yet...??
Kavita: Not yet... but he is planning to do it now during the lunch break... And I'm pretty sure he won't let her reject him...!! But still I don't understand why he finds that Ms. Nobody so interesting...!!
Sanskaar: You can't be serious...!!
Kavita: Oh I am... so should I take that as a YES from you...!!
Sanskaar: Forget it... I don't go on dates with gas stoves...!!

Kavita frowns at them whereas they make their way towards the cafeteria...

At the cafeteria... Swaragini and Sanlak are sitting around a table...

Ragini: Come on Swara now say it...!!
Swara: Just like that...!!
Ragini: Of course... Do you want an invitation for that...!!

Swara looks at Sanskaar and he looks at her with a raised eyebrow...

Swara: Okay here we go... (takes a deep breath) Thank you Sanskaar... for everything you did for me...!!
Sanskaar: You are always welcome...!! After all, that's what friends are for...!!
Swara: When did we become friends...??
Sanskaar: Okaayyy...!! So why don't we become now...?? Friends... partner...??
Swara: Are you serious... Is this a way for asking someone to be your friend...??
Sanskaar: So this one is as per your wish...!!
Swara: What...

But before she could complete Sanskaar gets up from his seat and sits in front of her on his knees...

Swara: (shocked) Sanskaar... what are you doing...?? Get up...!! (Sanskaar smiles at her) This is not funny... everyone is looking...!!
Sanskaar: (smiles) So Ms. Swara Ahuja...!! Will you be my friend...?? I know I have been pretty weird around you but I promise to be better if you don't plan on turning my whole body inside out with that little knife back at your kitchen...!! You know...!!
Swara: (smiles a bit) Why are you doing this...??
Sanskaar: (shrugs his shoulders) You only wanted a proper friendship proposal...!!
Swara: Okay... fine... It's my fault... Now get up...!!
Sanskaar: No... not until you give me an answer...!!
Swara: Get up...!!
Sanskaar: No...!!
Swara: Everyone is looking at us...!! It's embarrassing...!!
Sanskaar: I don't care...!!
Swara: It's enough... Get up...!!
Sanskaar: No...!!
Swara: Now...!!
Sanskaar: No...!!
Swara: I swear I'll kill you...!!
Sanskaar: First accept my proposal...!!
Swara: Can you ever be serious...??
Sanskaar: Oh I am pretty serious right now...!! Now come on accept it... my knees are paining...!!
Swara: (takes a deep breath) Okay... fine...!! I accept...!! Now will you get up please...!!
Sanskaar: With all due pleasure, M'lady...!!
Swara: Shut up...!!

They sit back and Sanskaar puts his arms around Swara's shoulder...

Sanskaar: So... finally we are friends partner...!!

Swara opens her mouth to say something but shuts it back on seeing Sahil coming towards them... Sanskaar notices it too... But before Sahil reaches near Sanskaar yanks Swara's arm and pulls her towards the center of the cafeteria...

Sanskaar: (raises his hand holding Swara hand) Yo people... I have my date for the fresher's party...!!
Swara: (shocked and looks at Sanskaar) What...??
